Caitlyn Jenner Not Guilty Of Vehicular Manslaughter

Ever since the fallout from her Feb 7th Malibu car accident, which left one woman dead at the scene, Caitlyn Jenner has been battling a wrongful death suit and potential charges of vehicular manslaughter. The wrongful death suit, originally brought about by victim Kim Howe’s adult stepchildren, was thrown out of court

And now, the LA County DA’s office has also issued a report that clears the I Am Cait and Keeping Up With the Kardashians star of vehicular manslaughter, citing that they, “Based on facts, cannot prove beyond a reasonable doubt that suspect’s conduct was unreasonable.”

TMZ reports that the case, which has been under scrutiny for nearly 6 months, was handled by the downtown LA Major Crimes Unit rather than the typical Van Nuys DA office (due to Caitlyn’s notoriety, perhaps?).

Although Caitlyn (then Bruce) was cited for not slowing down enough to avoid rear-ending the Lexus Kim Howe was driving, a 161-page report by the LA County Sheriff’s Department in August “thought it was relevant Jenner braked several seconds before impact in an attempt to avoid hitting a Lexus,” reported TMZ at the time.

CAITLYN OR BRUCE? JENNER CAN’T SEEM TO MAKE UP HER MIND!

Cailtyn refused to comment on the car accident during her now-famous Diane Sawyer interview back in April. But Caitlyn’s lawyer, Blair Berk, spoke to TMZ, saying, “We are heartened the District Attorney has agreed that even a misdemeanor charge would not be appropriate.” He added that although a fatal car accident can be “devastating and heartbreaking,” it is “not necessarily a criminal matter.”
