Earlier today, we learned that former NBA star, Lamar Odom was rushed to the hospital after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel. And of course, as soon as the news broke, the rumors and speculation of the involvement of drugs immediately began, which is not surprising as Lamar has struggled with addiction in the past and even did some stints in rehab.
Earlier reports claimed that Odom was taking an herbal version of Viagra, which may have caused his blood pressure to drop to dangerously low levels. However, it looks as though drugs were definitely involved, as sources have come forward revealing that numerous drugs were found in Odom’s system. This whole story is so sad…

Lamar Odom has been in a downward spiral for some time now, ever since he started to abuse drugs and alcohol, but it looks like this time, he has taken it too far. As we reported earlier, Odom was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel, and then rushed to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
According to sources that spoke with E! earlier, Odom definitely overdosed as many drugs were found in his system, and he suffered a “loss of oxygen, but also possible stroke.” Apparently, doctors think it may have been an ischemic stroke, which happens when a blood clot prevents blood flow to the brain. These are often associated with drug overdoses.
“So, likely there’s brain damage, but they’re not sure how much. Virtually every drug imaginable was found in his system,” the source went on to add, claiming that Odom had been doing crack cocaine all weekend. “The long term effects of his drug use have taken a toll on his body and the binge this time was too much to handle,” the insider then told E!
And despite anything you may have read, TMZ is still reporting that Odom is not responsive at all. Their sources say that Odom is on 3-5 hour dialysis for kidney failure, even though Jesse Jackson has stated otherwise. Poor Lamar Odom. Our hearts and prayers go out to him at this time.
