Kristin Cavallari’s Brother Missing; Car Found Abandoned After Thanksgiving!

Kristin Cavallari's brother Michael is reported missing

Just weeks after giving birth to her daughter Saylor, Kristin Cavallari‘s family is contending with a terrible tragedy. Kristin’s brother Michael Cavallari has been reported missing since the day after Thanksgiving and authorities currently have very little information.

Michael’s abandoned car was found in Grand County Utah on Nov 27. Authorities have no leads on his apparent disappearance, but are listing it as a “Missing Person Investigation.”

“We are still out talking to people trying to piece things together,” Grand County sheriff Steven White told FOX411. “We’re deeming it suspicious, but there’s nothing to indicate anything one way or another.”

Michael lives in San Clemente, California. He was reportedly driving to Illinois, where Kristin lives. He was last seen at a convenience store in Monticello, UT where security footage captured him making purchases and getting gas. He was alone at that time. Police traced credit card receipts to the UT store.  A civilian reported an abandoned 2014 Honda Civic 100 miles away in Grand County, which police discovered as belonging to Michael.

Michael’s car was found with the engine running and the airbag deployed, his laptop and cell phone were inside. Police believe the car hit a large rock on the side of the road.

Authorities are seeking information about Michael’s whereabouts and the circumstances surrounding his possible disappearance.

After initially refraining from confirming her brother’s disappearance, Kristin posted a hopeful message to her instagram.

“I appreciate all the concern, thoughts, and prayers that have been extended to me and my family. We remain hopeful and I will share any news that we receive. I have such gratitude for all those that have shared their support,” Kristin wrote along with a photo of the siblings as children.

The Grand County authorities request that if you have any information please contact the Sheriff’s Office at (435) 259-8115.

OUR HEARTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO THE CAVALLARI FAMILY.
