Despite mixed reactions from Housewives fans and area locals, The Real Housewives of Potomac is off to a strong start. Cast member Katie Rost shared this week that she’s having fun with it and dishes on the best part of filming a reality show.
In a recent interview, Katie revealed that she’s enjoying the strong opinions from viewers – good and bad and thinks that RHOP is bringing something new to the HW franchise. “It’s fun, it’s interesting. People have very strong opinions about, you know, what they’re watching, and I think it’s very interesting to see how things are experienced by the fans … It’s not your typical Housewives show. I think that we’re bringing something new.”
Katie tells ET that her favorite thing about joining the crazy world of reality TV is, “being able to watch myself just act a fool on television! It’s entertaining to me. It’s amusing.”
Katie also explained why she feels so strongly about marrying her boyfriend Andrew Martin. “In the social circles we run in, you need to be married. We’re too old to just be shacked up.” She adds, “I always know exactly what I want. Like, if I’m hungry, I want a meal immediately. I don’t like to wait … I’m the even-keeled rock [of the cast], unless you don’t give me an engagement ring, you know? Then I might just give you crazy eyes!”

When asked if Andrew has popped the question yet, she coyly shared, “I have a lot of rings. You’ll have to watch and see [what happens].”
