Tonight is the Grammy Awards, which got us thinking about some of our favorite reality stars who have also embarked upon a music career but have never won a Grammy. I mean everyone on Bravo can’t be David Foster. Or Kandi Burruss!
Perhaps the Grammys actually need their own category for reality TV star singers?!
So as a shout-out in support of all those unrecognized reality stars-turned-pop stars here’s a run-down of some of our favorite hits from Real Housewives to Heidi Montag!

Sheree Whitfield - Who Gon Check Me Boo
Sheree turned her most infamous argument and catchphrase into a disastrous attempt at singing. I think the listening public checked you boo!
Melissa Gorga once had a vision of herself as a pop star and her J. Faux act included several beautiful songs, from the anthem "On Display" to the party hit "Rock Star," a music video "I Just Wanna" and even a ballad dedicated to her beloved Poison. Yes, she even performed live.
Melissa promised us an album, but we're still waiting on that. Perhaps it got eaten by beavers in her basement music studio?
Jo de la Rosa - Superficial
Former Real Housewives Of Orange County star Jo de la Rosa, left reality TV to become a singer - and was managed by Slade. As you can imagine, that didn't turn out well!
Thankfully she's gotten over her delusions and returned to life as a normal person. I blame Slave.
Luann de Lesseps
Luann is practically solid gold where Real Housewives turned singers are concerned! She's recorded three amazing songs, 'Money Can't Buy You Class' 'Chic C'est La Vie' and after a long hiatus released 'Girl Code' this summer. Luann's Housewives anthems are epic.
Jenni Pulos Raps
Flipping Out's Jenni Pulos fancied herself a rapper, and even recorded the infamous WWHL jingle. Jenni even released a kids rap album once upon time. I love you, Jenni!
Gretchen Rossi - Unbreakable
Kenya Moore - Gone With The Wind Fabulous!
Kim Kardashian - Jam (Turn It Up)
Kim Kardashian's very short-lived music career consisted of recording the auto-tuned Jam, which included a video which consisted of her gyrating and crawling around. Not even being married to Kanye could make this a hit.
Simon van Kempen - I Am Real!
Simon van Kempen, the husband of former RHONY star Alex McCord, once released a 'song' titled 'I Am Real' - to my knowledge it was only ever heard one time during a performance on WWHL. It faded into obscurity alongside everything else about Silex!
Kim Zolciak - Don't Be Tardy For The Party
Kim released her song 'Don't Be Tardy For The Party' with the help of Kandi Burruss - shockingly the heavily edited (by Kandi) song turned out to be a hit! So much so that Kandi took Kim to court for unpaid royalties.
She followed that up with the non-hit "Google Me"
After that debacle, Kim attempted to rebrand herself a country singer with the country song "Love Me First". Then she stopped singing and started reproducing. Anyone complaining?
Thankfully Don't Be Tardy forever lives on in the opening credits of Kim's spinoff of the same name!
Danielle Staub - Real Close
And in case you need a refresher of the awesomeness that is Housewives songs, here’s Luann singing “Chic C’est La Vie” with Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimon appearing in her music video. Grammy-worthy indeed.
