E! Has Four New Shows On The Way

I don’t know about you, but I’m addicted to E!. I watch all of the shows and all of the movies that repeat over and over again. Needless to say, I’m am always interested when the network rolls out some new shows. E! has just announced that there will be four new shows on the network.

I’m not really sure what to think, especially since these descriptions did not include photos or trailers. I’m sure those will be rolled out soon enough though. At this point, I’m just left with these write-ups and have made (possibly baseless) comparisons to already existing shows. But who are we kidding? I’m sure that I will end up watching all of these at some point, whether I actually want to or not.

WAGS: Miami

In this case, it makes sense for me to compare this show to something else I’ve watched since it is just a spin-off of WAGS, but in a different location. To be honest with you, I watched WAGS. I wanted to love it too, but it just fell flat. A lot of these women weren’t really friends and some of them were not even wives and girlfriends of athletes: just jersey chasers. I liked the concept of it though, so maybe the spin-off will be better. The description is a little lacking since the only “twist” is the different location: “But this time there’s a steamy twist with the hot and sexy South Florida location. Expect lots of fireworks as the eight women bring the heat while simultaneously navigating the exclusive and private world of the most elite sports stars.” I’ll probably (definitely) watch it, but I don’t know how much I’ll enjoy it based on the original.

The Abbey Diaries (Working Title)

This show has a tentative title, but I just immediately thought of Vanderpump Rules when I read the description: “The Abbey Diaries takes an inside look at the lives of the employees at West Hollywood’s world-renowned gay hotspot, The Abbey Food & Bar. Between handling celebrity and VIP clients on a daily basis, the staffers also juggle their love lives and future career dreams.” I love Vanderpump Rules so I really have some high hopes for this one.

Cosmo Life (Working Title)

This is another show with a tentative title, so it might be on the air with a totally different name. As a fan of Cosmopolitan I am intrigued by what happens behind the scenes at the magazine, but I just don’t know. Part of the description says, “The series follows the up-and-coming trendsetters who work hard at the world’s best-selling magazine and play harder when they’re off the clock.” None of the “professional” shows really seem to last on E! So if this show is more about the office than the staffers’ personal lives, I can’t really see this one sticking around, although I’m praying that it is reminiscent of The Hills in some way.

Famously Married (Working Title)

E! already has a new show called Famously Singleso why not go for a similar idea with a show called Famously Married? The title seems pretty clear, but this is part of the description: “The series explores the lives of young women who recently married or plan to marry wealthy and successful older men—and all the drama that comes with the territory. These ladies must contend with their husband’s ex-wives and children, while also trying to make their mark in L.A. society.” This is one of those shows where my viewership depends on who is in the cast.

I’m curious to see how these new shows end up doing on E!. I’m sure that I will watch them all regardless of how good they are, but some of them definitely sound more intriguing than others.
