With Little Women: LA poised to return for season 4 next week, of course stories are surfacing about the show’s hottest – and most vile – storyline: Briana Renee’s marriage to Matt Ericson (Grundhoffer). Secondary to the couple’s constant turmoil is the baby storyline – who’s having one, who’s just had one (or two in Elena Gant’s case!), and who desperately wants one (cough, cough…Christy McGinity Gibel).
Suffice to say, it’s going to be a season packed with drama, babies, and fractured friendships. In a recent interview, Terra Jole spoke out about the state of her relationship with former bestie Briana. An avid hater of all things Matt (which doesn’t really separate her from the rest of humanity), Terra says she still doesn’t want to throw away a lifelong friendship with Briana. Terra claims she and Briana are currently on speaking terms but, “Whether it’s great or horrible is a whole new story.”

Although it wouldn’t have been her choice to see Briana and Matt reconcile, Terra does admit, “Is her life my life? No. But if that’s what makes her happy, then she needs to go for it. But, it’s definitely caused tension in the group.”
As for her opinion of Matt, well…it hasn’t changed all that much. Terra commented to Radar Online, “Would I put him in my best husband list? Hell no!” Ha! That might be the understatement of the century.
You know, I used to wonder why Terra went so 28 Days Later on Briana at the beginning of her relationship with Matt. Then of course, we all saw the story unfolding in true horror movie CinemaScope, and I revised my opinion of her rage-filled rants. Sure, her delivery is abysmal at times, but I kind of relate to the total frustration/anger/outrage that Terra must be feeling every single time she learns a new detail about Matt’s scumbag behavior – and how much Briana is willing to overlook it. If Briana were my lifelong friend and not just another reality TV face, I might get utterly unhinged too. (I already feel pretty strongly about the situation, and these people are virtual strangers to me!)

It seems like Terra is biting her tongue somewhat when she speaks of the couple now though. Maybe her own pregnancy is softening her perspective, or perhaps she’s just saving her tantrums for TV! She admits, “Briana loves the guy, so if he’s good to Briana then we have to respect that until things change.”
The best she can do at this point is keep her relationship with Briana separate from her relationship with Matt. She says, “I try my best to figure out where I’m going in my relationship with Briana because we’ve been friends since we were in our late teens, early twenties. So it’s hard to just give up a relationship like that.”
Given the Instagram photo (above) Terra posted just last week of fellow LWLA castmates Tonya Banks, Jasmine Sorge, Briana, and her, alongside the happy caption “One week yo!” it appears that tension in the group is not prohibiting the ladies from having some fun together. Let’s hope that’s true!
