I still have no idea what to make of Kelly Dodd. I know that this season of Real Housewives of Orange County only just started, but I really don’t get her. I can’t tell if she’s just trying to be friends with Vicki Gunvalson for attention or if she just feels sorry for the underdog.
To be honest, it seems like she just knows that hanging with Vicki is going to maximize her camera time, but that’s just my first impression of her. Hopefully, she gets a little bit better, stops cracking such lame jokes, and trying to be the MVP (and sole member) of Team Vicki.

I didn’t really get the point of Kelly’s beach party in the last episode. It just seemed so awkward with the games and lack of outside friends. It was almost as if she wanted the cast members to have no choice but to talk with each other and cause a scene. Well, that’s probably exactly what she wanted from them. And obviously inviting Vicki to anything with these ladies is going to stir the pot.
Kelly wrote about the latest episode in an entry on her Bravo blog. She also took the opportunity to diss Tamra Judge, who I have a feeling she is going to butt heads with. Kelly wrote, “The party at our house consisted of two parts. The first part in the afternoon at the beach was super chill. It gave us a chance to enjoy a beautiful day with friends and play some beach games like volleyball, horseshoes, cornhole, frisbee, etc. It turns out that all of the ladies have very competitive natures. As usual, Vicki’s arrival elicited some snarky comments and more than a little tension. In fact, it didn’t take long for Tamra to corner Vicki and beat her with the ‘you lied’ drum.”
I know Tamra is pretty polarizing, but I really don’t feel like she actually “cornered” Vicki. All Vicki wants is to be friends with these people (minus the part where she takes responsibility for her actions and actually behaves like a good friend). So Vicki was hoping that Tamra would forgive her if she talked about how left out she felt, blah blah blah. No one forced Vicki to be there and Tamra didn’t attack her- minus the blatant insults that she threw out there during the on-camera interviews.
It just seems to me like Kelly doesn’t like Tamra and is siding with Vicki for attention so that’s how she views their conversation at her party.
