Survivor Episode 4 Preview

‘Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen-X’ Episode 4 Preview: ‘Who’s The Sucker At The Table?’

Just like that, we’re knee-deep into another season of Survivor, as we gear up for the fourth episode of Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen-X. Usually by now, we’ll have seen some sort of a tribe shake-up, or a switch, but CBS producers and Jeff Probst are so in love with the “generation battle” format that it appears they’re going to let it play out a bit more than other themes in the past. We normally get a merge at or around Episode 8, so it’s hard to believe we’re nearly a third of the way through already!

The preview for tonight’s new episode seems to be focused on a physical water Reward Challenge, which are always interesting to watch as our favorite (and not-so-favorite) contestants literally punch, kick, scrape, and claw at one another in order to come out on top. And now that both tribes have revealed their cards at their previous Tribal Councils, this is when it should start to get interesting.

So getting set from last week, you may remember that the Gen-Xers ousted good ole’ Paul (and I do mean “ole.” I mean, the dude is in his 50s and a so-called Gen-Xer?? OK, I’m over it.) and are now down to eight tribe mates. Chris and Bret were the only two who were left in the dark about Paul‘s ousting, after David and Ken were able to flip the tribe off of CeCe. Remember from last week’s preview video, it appears Lucy may finally get her fair share of screen-time this week as she apparently inherits the throne left by Paul. But if the official CBS synopsis is any indication, it looks like Chris and Bret are not going to forget what went down. Here it is:

Episode 4 – “Who’s the Sucker at the Table?” – Millennials and Gen X get physical in the first reward challenge of the season, and two castaways are out for revenge after being blindsided by their allies, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, Oct. 12(8:00-9:00PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Another juicy tidbit about tonight’s episode: In an interview with EW.com, Probst also teased that another Immunity Idol would be found during tonight’s episode. That could only mean that someone over at the Millennial beach will fall into power. If it’s Figlor (Taylor and Figgy‘s showmance), they might decide to cut it in half and each wear a half around their necks as a show of love and affection. So let’s hope it’s not them, or anyone from the “TriForce” alliance. It would be very interesting if the likes of an Adam, a Zeke, or a Michaela were to stumble upon an Idol. We’ll have to see.

Chris and Bret are clearly on the outs of the Gen-X tribe after last week, so look for one of them to possibly get the boot tonight, but I wouldn’t put too much stock into that. It’s so early, and things can shift fast, especially if someone were to catch wind that David possesses an Idol. Could Bret and Chris be saved by teaming back up with Sunday and Lucy, whom they seemed close to just a few episodes ago? And over at the youngin’ beach, that Idol could change everything, so it’s hard to predict just who may be in danger should the Millennials end up at Tribal.

It all goes down tonight! But first, let’s address some comments and questions left on last week’s recap article, in a section I like to call…

“The Fans Have Spoken.” I read all of your comments every week, so thanks for the interaction! Last week, it seems most everyone was loving the blindside of Paul…not necessarily that it was Paul, but just that it was a blindside. That’s definitely what makes the show fun to watch, and Probst has promised great game-play this season! On the other hand, there seemed to be no love lost in discussing CeCe and her slow, meander across the balance beam that costed her tribe Immunity, or at least didn’t help the cause very much.

You know the drill: CBS, 8pm EST, and then RealityTea.com for another Survivor Recap late tonight. We’ll see you on the other side! But first…

TELL US – WHO DO YOU THINK WILL GO HOME TONIGHT?  WHO DO YOU HOPE FINDS THE HIDDEN IDOL?  AND WHAT ARE YOUR OVERALL THOUGHTS ON THE MILLENNIALS VS. GEN-X SEASON THUS FAR?
