Other than the paycheck and relative fame, I have no idea why Briana Renee keeps coming back to Little Women: LA. Every year her marriage to Matt Ericson takes a major hit with new adulterous, shady accusations. Briana evokes sympathy, acts like everything is fine, and then gets offended when the other cast members express concern.
It’s a cycle that never ends. I have to admit that I was initially intrigued by this drama, but I’m so over it now. Aside from this repetitive nature of this story line, it just never seems like Briana or Matt are being truthful…about anything. It’s so frustrating to watch, so I can’t imagine what it’s actually like to costar on this show with her be friends with her. Briana “opened up” about the state of their marriage and some legal issues.

As per usual, I can’t help taking everything Briana says with a grain of salt. Recently she did an interview for the Domenick Nati Show and addressed the lawsuit against her and her rocky marriage. It’s so hard to believe anything she says and I have no idea whether I should have sympathy for her or if I should be annoyed that she is (probably) lying. Once again, I wonder how the cast puts up with this.
Briana was asked about the lawsuit against her for an outstanding payment of $20,000 and to be honest her explanation didn’t really make sense. Briana said, “The fact that it hasn’t been made public means you’re gonna have to wonder where the source came from.” But it is public. It’s always been public. She was handed papers on the show.
Of course, Briana also gave the textbook explanation: “Unfortunately, there is some legal situation going on. Of course, tabloids are always embellished.”
She recalled, “All I can say is that I was served a couple of seasons ago on the show by my former publicist. There’s a legal situation, but it’s not to the extent that was portrayed. I can give further details as soon as it’s all fixed and cleared.” She even admitted that this was all super public, so I have no idea what she’s even talking about, yet she continued to emphasize, “When it’s not already been made public because it’s not at that point, you kind of wonder where the source came from.” What source? We saw this happen in an episode. Clear as day.
The host started to say, “the accusations of you guys having a rocky marriage-” and Briana cut him off confirming, “Oh we do. That we do. That’s on the show.” At least she is admitting (the very obvious) truth.
Briana waxed poetic: “Unfortunately we have had major lows and we’ve had to build back up again and it takes time. It takes longer than the few months that you’ve seen us. Our whole relationship has only been two and a half years. Sometimes people take up to ten years to really get to that place where they want to be.” So it’s alright for someone to get cheated on and humiliated in a very public forum as long as it’s within a decade? Make sense.
Briana said, “Marriage isn’t perfect. I’m not going to sugarcoat anything, we have had a rocky marriage, but it’s not like I don’t hold my own because I sure as hell do.” Sure.
Briana was asked if she and Matt were “on the verge of divorce” and she really had nothing to say other than plugging the show. Briana teased, “That part you’ll have to watch play out on the show because there’s a lot more to that than just a yes or no answer. There’s a lot going on. I’m not saying everything’s perfect right now even.” Has it ever been perfect? That’s the one thing no one would ever assume about this relationship.
Briana added, “There’s a lot of variables in this problem and you’ll see that all play out on the show.” Ah, romance at its finest.
Briana was asked if she was over the cheating and she admitted, “That’s a work in progress.” She continued, “It’s just like anyone else out there, it takes time and that definitely pays an emotional toll on me. It’s all a compilation of a lot of things.” Sounds like a fairy tale love story to me.
Tonight is an all new episode of Little Women: LA. Briana gets upset with Jasmine for being “up Terra’s ass” lately and ignoring their friendship. Terra and Briana are still feuding after Terra belittles Brianna in front of the rest of the crew. Tune in 8/7 CST for the cat-fights and chaos.
