Captain Sandy Yawn Is Shocked By The Malia White Love Square On Below Deck Mediterranean

Captain Sandy Yawn

I’m so here for this season of Below Deck Mediterranean. Sure, I always enjoy seeing the ridiculous requests from wealthy charter guests, but what I’m really living for is the love-triangle-turned-square with Malia White. I get why any guy would be into Malia. She’s adorable and has a great attitude, but damn: three different guys are into her this season.

The only man who’s not into Malia is  and thank god for that. He has a girlfriend back home and that would just make a messy situation even messier. Interestingly enough, my beloved Captain Sandy Yawn had no idea that this love square was happening until she watched the show herself.

When discussing the season with Andy Cohen, Captain Sandy admitted she was surprised watching the Malia situation on TV. She said she was “shocked,” adding, “I had no idea. In front of me, everyone’s on their best behavior.” As they should be.

Sandy was asked, “Who do you think is better-suited for Malia: Wes [Walton], Adam [Glick], or Bobby [Giancola]?” She said, “Oh my. Why do I have to pick?” before settling on Wes. Unfortunately, she didn’t provide a reason. Unfortunately, she did not really have to: he’s clearly the best choice out of those three.

So what about the captain herself? Is she in a relationship? Sandy confessed, “I am not. Thank God.” Andy added, “I have to assume you’re getting a lot of DM’s” and Sandy admitted, “I’m getting a few.” Hopefully none of those messages involve trite yachting puns.

Andy continued to grill her. He asked, “Have you ever dated or hooked up with a crew member during your yachting career?” Sandy said, “Of course not. Absolutely not. It’s unprofessional. We’re in the business of professionalism.” I was hoping that she would end one of those sentences with a smirk or a “just kidding,” but the captain kept it professional.

One person who could take a cue from Captain Sandy when it comes to professionalism is Adam who maliciously put onions in the meals even though it was the one thing the guests did not want. I really thought he was going to get fired at the end of that charter, but he survived….somehow. Captain Sandy explained why she did not give him the boot right then and there: “In all fairness, I had no idea it was three times. I only knew about twice. The third time I would have fired Adam. I had no idea until I watched the show. Why? Because the guy I saw every morning was really cool, seemed to be on his game. I had no idea he had this other side to him.”

Poor, Sandy. Adam definitely owes her an apology…or two… or three. He didn’t comply with instructions, acted out of spite, lied right to her face. Shaking. My. Damn. Head.

TELL US – WHO DO YOU THINK IS THE BEST CHOICE FOR MALIA: WES, ADAM, OR BOBBY? DO YOU THINK ADAM SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED OR DID HE DESERVE ANOTHER CHANCE?
