Lisa Barlow Will Side With Victims If Jen Shah Is Guilty Of Fraud & Money Laundering

It’s all about questioning the authenticity of friendships on the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.  Everyone was anticipating Season Two to watch how Jen Shah’s arrest went down, but the beginning episodes don’t disappoint.  It seems like this group didn’t even need Jen’s legal drama to beef up their season.

Whitney Rose is coming for Lisa Barlow hard, with the help of her new “cousin” Angie HarringtonThe two accused Lisa of telling Angie’s caterer to pull out of her LGBTQ fundraiser.  The chefs went public to defend Lisa on that matter.

Jen had to patch things up with Heather Gay due to more outrageous Instagram posts about her friend’s weight and appearance.  Meredith Marks has yet to get a sincere apology from Jen for harassing son Brooks Marks on social media, and through all of this, Lisa seems to have Jen’s back no matter what.  If only she knew what was coming….

So it’s logical to wonder if Lisa will be consistent and support her friend throughout her legal battle.  The same issue is happening one state over on the Real Housewives of Beverly HillsPage Six asked Lisa to explain her stance on the allegations against Jen.

Lisa said she is currently supporting Jen for the time being, but will “100 percent side with the victims” if the allegations of fraud and money laundering are proven true in a court of law.  “This is where I might be controversial. I believe in due process,” Lisa quipped.

Lisa continued, “After what our country has gone through over the last two years [amid calls for] social justice, we cannot presume people are guilty and then they have to presume themself innocent … We have to see how things pan out when she starts trial and let the judge and jury come to a verdict before we all do.”

RHOBH would have been a lot less fun if that cast shared Lisa’s sentiment.  Sutton Stracke could have saved herself a lot of grief….But it wasn’t an easy stance for Lisa to take.  She admitted to Page Six that she and Jen “were not in the best place,” though “when the arrest happened, I was in shock.”

Lisa continued, “I specifically went through a myriad of emotions.  I was hurt, I was angry, I felt disappointed.”  She took the Sutton approach by immediately speaking to her lawyers about Jen’s arrest.

Lisa explained, “I was like, ‘OK, what’s really going on? I want the facts, not stuff that’s hearsay.  [My] attorneys called me back and they were like, ‘There’s nothing on the docket on Jen Shah. There’s no case against her.’ So, I was like, ‘Phew, this doesn’t have anything to do with Jen.'”

But just because her lawyer gave her the ok, that doesn’t mean that Lisa was comfortable with the situation.  “Nobody is silent about this. Just going through all the emotions, I already told Jen everything I thought to her face,” Lisa revealed, “I’m not going to apologize for anything that I was feeling. That was all raw, it was all real and if it hurt you, I’m sorry, that’s how I was feeling.”

Nothing will be determined until Jen’s trial begins in March 2022.  Perhaps the conclusion of the trial will hit the cast in time to film for Season Three.
