Andy hath no fury like a Housewife scorn! Carole Radziwill of Real Housewives of New York fame knows how to hold a grudge. We very well know that she and Bethenny Frankel’s fast friendship fizzled and then exploded at the end of Season 10. But what you may not know is that Andy Cohen is still on her shit list AND vice versa. Andy Cohen has gone as far as to essentially give Carole the JLo treatment; he don’t know her.
We’re getting all this tea from the horse’s mouth thanks to the new book by Dave Quinn, Not All Diamonds and Rosé: The Inside Story of the Real Housewives from the People Who Lived It. Dave interviewed more than 185 people from the “housewives” universe, including Andy, (whose imprint the book is being published under) as part of research for his upcoming release, via the New York Post.
I can remember back in the day, it going DOWN at the RHONY reunion that would turn out to be Carole’s last. Andy and she’s longtime friendship unraveled in front of our eyes as we saw Andy seemingly sided with his (literal) right hand woman, Bethenny over the royal princess.
As entertaining as that face off was, it was also very uncomfortable to watch and seems as though neither party has gotten past it. Carole quit the show with a Carole-like statement: “My original curiosity about reality television has waned over the years and I am focusing on TV and writing projects that better suit my more steady temperament.” Carole always did seem like a casual observer of the antics of the other woman on the show. She was ‘on’ the show but not really ‘of’ the show. Some saw her as judgmental and uptight but others saw her as the voice of calm and reason. Either way, she brought her own unique brand of housewifery to the franchise.

Around the time that Carole announced her departure from RHONY, she also took to her personal Instagram account to speak her truth about her time on the show. And that truth is what really sent Andy over the edge. She cryptically wrote in her IG stories at the time, “If you were doing something that was forcing you to do things that went against your own value system would you walk away regardless of the pay.” Apparently, Andy was none to pleased that Carole wasn’t feeling his Midas touch.
The star-maker revealed in the book, “Carole’s post basically implied that she was leaving a really toxic situation” and, “It really rubbed me the wrong way because I really felt like I had changed her life.” Andy hit the nail on their friendship coffin when he stated, “She is not the person I used to know.” Yikes.
