Candiace Dillard Says She Was Suicidal And Took Medication In Response To Lies “Fans” Spread; Calls Out Andy Cohen For Hypocrisy

Season 6 of the Real Housewives of Potomac was on fire, and Candiace Dillard was right in the middle of the flames. She told Ashley Darby that she had a “wide bodied ass” and accused her of going to Williamsburg just to bring up the cheating rumors to Wendy Osefo. Of course, Ashley had recently given birth. Once again–body-shaming is never acceptable.

Candiace was all about pursuing her music career and asked her RHOP co-stars (except for Ashley) to be in her music video. Mia Thornton called the video shoot “low budget,” and Candiace called Mia’s mother “low budget.” Later on, this dueling duo would engage in a salad fight. No food is ever safe on a Housewives trip. Just saying.

A hot topic of conversation was the fact that Candiace’s husband, Chris Bassett, was her new “husband-ger.” The RHOP ladies wondered what made a chef qualified to manage his wife’s singing career. Candiace landed a record deal, which is fabulous.

Candiace has a rep for being a real mess on Twitter, but she knows it. During Part 1 of the RHOP reunion, host Andy Cohen confronted Candiace for using her words as weapons. Candiace defended herself, remarking that if someone came for her, it was justified. Take some notes here, Mia.

It seems that Candiace has some feelings about Andy and the way he handled the aftermath of the physical altercation between her and RHOP alum Monique Samuels. In the Housewives tell-all Not All Diamonds and Rosé: The Inside Story of The Real Housewives from the People Who Lived It, Candiace was interviewed and made her feelings about Andy’s actions crystal clear.

An excerpt from the book was tweeted by JustinPolls7. “I even reached out to Andy’s assistant and asked for him to call me. Nothing. That’s f*cked up,” Candiace said. “But how many of them were physically attacked on camera by their costar? The fact that he couldn’t even schedule ten minutes to reach out to me? You don’t give a f*ck,” Candiace commented. She also claimed that she told Andy that to his face.

According to NY Press News, Candiace shared that she was actually suicidal because people online were spreading lies about her. In a tweet, Candiace said, “Like I said. Ima cause a scene (yea.)” A follower tweeted, “You hurt people. You have no idea the hurt and anguish you cause. Please stop making fun of people’s flaws,” the user wrote. “Please.”

Candiace issued a shocking clap-back. “Girl shut up,” Candiace tweeted. “When you’re on anxiety meds and praying to God you don’t take your own life because of the hurt and lies that people like YOU perpetuate because you don’t like me on a TV show, come talk to me.” Candiace added, “Until then, actually shut the f-ck up.” Wow. I’m surprised that Candiace is being so vulnerable and sharing her mental health struggles on social media.

Another follower pointed out that it seems like Candiace is not supposed to respond when someone slams her. “Do they want Candiace to just sit there when people come for her?” the user questioned. The singer replied, “I would also like to know the answer to this.”

A fan had a suggestion for the way Candiace should handle her RHOP co-stars. “I think it’s the ‘tone’ of your voice that is triggering, tbh, not WHAT you say. Your delivery is so fiery, spirited and pointed…where others deliver their ‘shade’ more casually dismissive and subtle,” the fan stated. “I enjoy you!” Candiace replied, “Agreed.”

Another follower called out Andy for calling attention to Candiace’s cutting comments, while not holding Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Erika Jayne and Lisa Rinna accountable for their behavior. Erika is dealing with a bonfire of legal issues. The fan posted a video clip from the reunion, and tweeted, “Y’all..I can’t. [Andy Cohen] we’ve been screaming from every part of the world to fire Rinna! Freaking hold EJ accountable!.. but [Candiace Dillard]‘s mouth is where you bring the heat?!” the user wrote. “What in all the effs..(and then the heffa [Gizelle Bryant] coming in condoning physical violence.)”

Candiace tweeted, “At this point, it’s propaganda.”
