Teresa Giudice Defends Fiance Luis "Louie" Ruelas Against Haters

There’s no doubt that Teresa Giudice has been through the ringer over the last few years. The Real Housewives of New Jersey OG has been to jail and a very public divorce. But now Teresa is starting a new chapter in her life and that includes love.

Once she got engaged to Luis “Louie” Ruelas, ex-husband Joe Giudice and brother Joe Gorga expressed their happiness. But many fans are skeptical given some rumors that have come up about about Louie. Not to mention the fact that the couple moved pretty quickly with their romance and engagement.

But Teresa isn’t going to let anyone get in the way of her happiness, especially the haters. Teresa spoke with Entertainment Tonight and shared her feelings on the matter. Teresa said of the negativity, “I say like, ‘Please mind your business.’ You should want someone to be happy, because if you want someone else to be happy, then happiness comes to you. I’m about that. I’m not about ever hurting someone or tearing them down or anything like that.” Has Teresa forgotten we have watched her do exactly that on RHONJ for years now? But I digress.

She continued, “And listen, I know people make all these judgments and say all these things on social media regarding him. Like he wants to be on TV. He so does not want to be on TV. It’s so not his thing. If anything, he’s supporting me, but it’s really not his thing. And the craziest things that they say, like he planned to meet me that day. No, he didn’t even know who I was, and he’s never been at the Jersey Shore, that was his first time. And it’s crazy.”

Teresa and Louie met back in the summer of 2020 and once they went public, they were immediately subjected to cynicism. Teresa said, “I wish people would just leave us alone. Anybody that’s negative, just please leave us alone. Because first of all, they’re never going to destroy our happiness, just leave it at that. It’s never going to happen. And I’m a very strong, strong individual. If everyone doesn’t know that, I am. And if they knock me down, I’ll get right back up.”

As for Louie, Teresa revealed, “He’s new to all this, to public scrutiny, which is sad, and this is not something he signed up for. He just signed up for, he met me, we fell in love, and that was it. And I feel bad, so I’ll do anything I can to protect him. I said to him, ‘Just follow my lead. I got you.'”

And Teresa won’t be deterred because she has faith in their love from day one. She admitted, “He’s a Taurus like me, we’re so much alike. Even my daughter, Gia [Giudice], says it. They all say it. Like, ‘You guys are so much in sync with each other.’ We are. We both like the same things. Know how they say, ‘Opposites attract?’ Well, not with us. I don’t like opposite. We both understand each other. We’re both the same person. We like the same things. And he just understands me, I understand him. I love the way he speaks, the way he is, his heart, his mannerisms. He’s a gentleman. He knows how to treat a woman.”
