Real Housewives of New York recap

Luann de Lesseps Debuts Fosé Rosé, Alcohol-Free Wine

Confidence is often a key ingredient in the makings of a Real Housewives star, but no one has it quite like Luann de Lesseps. The Countess has been high and mighty since the first season of the Real Housewives of New York. She is a master of etiquette and won’t stand for nonsense, such as a cab driver referring to her by her first name. While Lu has gone through a massive transformation throughout the years, her self-assurance has remained intact.

Lu showed off her self-love during the first season of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. She made new friends, finally had back up to defend herself against Ramona Singer and, as expected, closed out the season with a cabaret performance dedicated to Kyle Richards. She’s also impressively good at staying on-brand, even if she’s doing something ridiculous like making a rap track.

The future of RHONY is in limbo right now, but it seems like Lu might be the only one safe when the show does return. She and Mona have been OGs, but the Ramonacoaster’s most recent displays of bad behavior might get her booted once and for all. Lu’s story is always interesting as she grapples with issues like her sobriety and inherent desire to be loved. But one thing that never waivers is her work ethic, and the Countess has just debuted a new product to sell us RHONY fans just in time for Christmas.

According to Page SixLuann is releasing non-alcoholic rosé wine aptly called Fosé Rosé. “It fits perfectly in a stocking — along with some tickets for my cabaret show, of course,” Lu said. I can perfectly imagine her saying this sentence in my head followed by her deep Countess laugh. I don’t know whether I’m impressed with myself or frightened, to be honest.

Lu promises that even those who aren’t avoiding alcohol will like her new spirit, which she calls a very “elevated” beverage. “I’ve given [it] to people that drink and they didn’t know it wasn’t wine,” Luann said. “You can have a glass of rosé and then you can have a glass of Fosé.” Spoken like a true business boss. I’m waiting for the moment Bethenny Frankel calls out her old frenemy about her stepping into the drink business, probably referring to it as a cheater brand. Sonja Morgan’s felt that wrath before.
