Paige DeSorbo Summer House

Paige DeSorbo Reacts To Ciara Miller Throwing Wine On Danielle Olivera

We are only two episodes in and already Summer House is serving up Aces, despite Hannah Berner‘s exit and no sign of Luke Gulbranson. So far this season, most of the current drama surrounds Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula‘s upcoming nuptials. However, thanks to the season trailer, we know there is a lot more to come.

This is in no small part due to the successful integration of the Summer House crew with the crazy kids of Southern CharmThe gift that is Winter House just keeps on giving. This time in the form of messy love triangles.

The addition of Andrea Denver to this summer’s Hampton’s gang is a definite thorn in the side of Craig Conover. The battle for Paige Desorbo‘s affections is a lot more understandable than the other triangle, however. This is mostly thanks to the fact that Paige is actually likeable and rooting for her to find love between two seemingly worthy suitors makes the situation watchable.

That other triangle, of course, being the battle between Ciara Miller and Lindsay Hubbard for the attention (not a relationship, mind you) of Austen Kroll. It’s going to take a whole lot of Trop Hop to make this make sense. I didn’t understand it during Winter House, and I certainly don’t understand how it possibly continued into summer. If you take into account how Austen treated Linds on Watch What Happens Live, it’s no wonder she’s taken a step back from their friendship at this point.  Thankfully, in real time, we know that Lindsay stepped away and is happily dating Carl Radke.

On the small screen, this has yet to play out, and it looks like there is a lot more mess to come. Including an epic wine toss at Danielle Olivera by none other than Ciara. Don’t get worried, Danielle is not interested in Austen, she’s happily booed up with chef Robert Sieber. No, in this case, Danielle is merely sticking up for BFF, Lindsay. As you should.

In a recent interview with Entertainment TonightPaige discussed the incident, which seemingly came out of nowhere.

“Obviously, as one of the most selfish people on the planet, my first thought was, ‘Wow, I really hope I don’t get red wine on this dress, because I really love it.'” (I swear I could watch this show solely for Paige‘s self-deprecating humor alone).

She continued, “When anything physical ever breaks out, I immediately go the other way. I am not one to get messy. I will fight all day with my words, but once objects are thrown or fists come up, I’m totally out. So, it was a crazy moment, and it was so not Ciara‘s personality.”

I’m thinking someone broke into their Loverboy stockpile, because Paige went on to say, “Austen is so charismatic, one of the funniest people I know. He just is kind of captivating when he does walk into a room. So, I totally get the attraction that both girls were having toward him.”

Paige added, “It’s so hard to watch your friend be hurt by another one of your friends, so I kind of stayed out of the love triangle as much as I could, other than when the girls were really going through it with him or going through it with each other, but I feel like that’s just life and everyone finds themselves in a love triangle, whether they want it or not.”

Is she not watching the same show we are? Or is that just a way to throw some subtle shade on Austen’s first noticeable threesome? Please be the latter.

We will have to wait to see the wine toss play out in a future episode of Summer House, to understand exactly why it happened. However, thanks to Paige, we can rest assured that no permanent damage was sustained.

“I know that [Ciara] apologized because that’s so not her character. And Danielle and her left that weekend and that summer cool and friends. I don’t think that changed [between] us airing to us leaving the house. They talked about everything, and they were fine, but it was definitely out of character for Ciara, and she really is such a good person and sometimes people make mistakes. Ours just happened to be captured on camera.”

I think that’s nice. If only we could all blame the camera for our bad behavior, and not the Muppet, eh-hem, man behind it.

TELL US- ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO THE WINE TOSS? DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHY LINDSAY AND CIARA ARE STILL FIGHTING OVER AUSTEN? DID DANIELLE DO THE RIGHT THING STICKING UP FOR HER FRIEND?
