Carole Radziwill certainly has no love lost for Real Housewives of New York. Despite spending 6 seasons on the show, she ultimately left in a blaze of glory. The rumor was that it was because of a huge rift with one time bestie, Bethenny Frankel. But Carole claims it was due to multiple disagreements with producers of the show. Regardless of who was right or wrong, Carole was severely outmanned when it came to Bethenny. We all know Bethenny was running that show and now Carole is happy to confirm it.
As reported by Page Six, Carole is openly accusing Bethenny of producing the show. Which is supposed to be for, you know, reserved for the producers. Not the cast. Carole made the remarks during a recent episode of the podcast “Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef”. Said Carole, “I think [Bethenny] acted as a producer, at least what I saw that last season as talent and as a producer, she had access to information about the show that none of the rest of us had access to.”
Carole also alleged that Bethenny was part of a group chat between producers, field producers and showrunners of RHONY. This would have allowed Bethenny to discuss the show’s scenes in real time. Carole revealed, “There was the feeling that it was unequal access to production.” She further explained, “There’s this thing called, like, this story chain. It was a group text with all the producers, and they would be, all the field producers would be texting what was going on in the scene as it was going on.”
Carole ventured, “I think [Bethenny] had access to some version of that. It became kind of clear that she had access to it, whether or not directly from producers or just, you know. There were a lot of people on it.” According to Carole, became aware of what was going on when she saw a notification on a producer’s phone.

Carole disclosed, “I only found out about it because I borrowed one of the showrunners’ phone for something. And then [the notification] came up, and I was like, ‘What is this?’ And it was, like, a really long group. And he grabbed it. He’s like, ‘That’s the story text chain’ or something. I was like, ‘Oh, what?’”
She believes this gave Bethenny an unfair advantage when it came to how she was portrayed on the show. Carole concluded, “She knew what was said in scenes that she wasn’t in. We never knew that. So there was clearly some communication that was happening between her and production that wasn’t happening with the rest of us in production. That did make people afraid to say things that they would have said normally, because there was a feeling that there was someone who was more protected.”
