Jill Zarin Tells Andy Cohen To Call Her About New Real Housewives Of New York Series

Since Andy Cohen announced that there would be a split in the Real Housewives of New York franchise, fans have been making their predictions on who will be a part of it. Andy’s first priority is to recast the original RHONY. And it doesn’t sound like he will be hanging on to any of the original cast. Said Andy, “There are thousands of stories to tell here. This is the most multicultural, diverse, and energetic and exciting city in America. We are searching for a multicultural group of friends who really best reflect the most exciting city in the country. We’re looking for a group of women who are real friends, and who are of diverse backgrounds, races and religions.”

For the second series, internally referred to as RHONY: Legacy, Andy has made it clear that no casting decisions have been made. But he did have one prediction – that former housewife Jill Zarin would come calling. Andy laughed, “Jill is gonna be, like, ‘Am I getting my apple back?’” Turns out, he was right.

As reported by Page Six, Jill let her interest be known on Bravo’s Instagram announcement. She tagged Andy and simply used a phone emoji. I’m assuming she read the story and was being cheeky. But I think she’s made it clear that she would come back, given the right opportunity. During a Watch What Happens Live appearance almost a year ago, Jill demurred, “I just wanna be a friend.” I don’t believe that. I think she would loooove to come back but knew she would be out of her element based on casting over the years. RHONY: Legacy would give her the chance to level the playing field and be her authentic self. Good and bad.

Jill’s comment got over 1,600 likes and lots of arguing in the comments. One fan gushed, “There can’t be a reboot without you, we need to start a campaign!” But a few weren’t so excited. A fan sniped, “You are not needed your voice is like nails to a chalk board and your bragging is annoying.” Another added, “Sorry honey you had your chance. The show needs diversity not bringing back people who were let go.”

Clearly enjoying the attention, Jill also posted a video to her Instagram stories. In the video, she excitedly picks up the phone. The text overlay read, “POV: You’re Jill Zarin calling Andy this AM.” Don’t let the haters get you down, Jill!

But even if RHONY: Legacy doesn’t work out for Jill, she will still be on Bravo, likely by the end of the year. Jill was cast on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip season 2, which will probably be a hit, just like season 1. So either way, Jill will be back in action. Is RHUGT her audition to come back into the fold more permanently?
