The Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher Jordan Rodgers The Bachelor

The Bachelorette Alums JoJo Fletcher And Jordan Rodgers Get Married

The Bachelorette‘s  JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers are finally married! Six years following their engagement on the show’s Season 12 finale in 2016, the real estate developer and the sports announcer said “I do” on Saturday, May 14, in front of close friends and family at the Sunstone Winery in Santa Ynez, California.

The bride (wearing the original wedding dress she had chosen in 2019, before Covid postponed their wedding plans) exchanged personal vows with Jordan during the intimate ceremony, as family and friends, including Bachelor Nation alums Becca Tilley, Raven Gates, and Adam Gottschalk, looked on. Unfortunately, Aaron Rodgers, Jordan‘s older brother and Green Bay Packers quarterback who has been estranged from his family for several years, did not seem to be in attendance.

“It sounds cliché, but I really am marrying my best friend,” JoJo said in an interview with People Magazine. “Everything that’s happened in our relationship has only made us stronger. And we just feel so lucky.”

“It feels so good! It took a while to get here but it was all so worth it. We are FINALLY married!!! Can’t wait to start this next chapter of our life together,” she added.

Later, guests at the black tie event gathered for an elegant Italian outdoor dinner of pasta, steak, and fish before celebrations continued.

“We wanted the vibe of our wedding to be traditional in a sense, but also playful and fun and unique,” said JoJo. “We’ve been planning for a long time, so we wanted it to be just right!”

JoJo and Jordan had instant chemistry during her season of the reality dating series–JoJo gave Jordan the all important “First Impression Rose”–and by season’s end, he had gotten down on one knee and proposed, which JoJo happily accepted. They began wedding planning in 2019 (after Jordan proposed a second time, off camera), but the Covid pandemic interfered with their plans.

“We had a date in 2020, and then we had a date in 2021,” said Jordan. “We kept thinking the world would get back to normal, but it didn’t!”

At one point, the couple briefly considered eloping, but ultimately “realized that time had already been on our side and we decided to just ride it out so the day could be exactly what we wanted it to be,” noted JoJo.

Now, as the couple enjoys being newlyweds, they are both grateful for the “journey” they’ve weathered together. “Jordan is everything I’ve always looked for in a man,” said JoJo. “I’m just so ready for this next chapter of our lives to start!”
