What’s a former Bravo housewife to do when her new show continues to flop mercilessly on the new network she’s on? Well if you’re Danielle Staub, you try to make a tragic moment all about you!
Yes, the former Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member/star of that new show on VH1 that no one’s watching has somehow managed to hijack the tragic suicide of Russell Armstrong this week by revealing her own suicidal thoughts. Really… she did. In a new interview, Danielle claims the pressures of being on a reality show also contributed to her contemplating suicide.
“I was very close to taking my own life — not just on one occasion — it’s been several times,” Danielle told ET in an exclusive interview. She added: “And what always saved me was the thought of my children living with that for the rest of their lives. I didn’t want them to have that memory of me. I wanted them to remember me — even if I’m going through my struggles — alive.”
While fighting back tears, Danielle reveals she understands the deep dark places that must have led to the suicide of Taylor Armstrong’s estranged husband. “I don’t have words to describe how alone you feel. And everybody’s coming at you, and judging you, and they don’t even know you.”
Danielle adds, “It’s really hard to talk to people who are not in our genre about what really goes on when the lights go down. And maybe your family starts to break apart, and you get caught up in it. And I’m not blaming anybody for what I’ve been through, I’m just saying it’s hard to explain top people who aren’t doing this for a living.”
Oddly enough, the ET story manages to plug Danielle’s new reality show Famous Food, you know, the same type of show that ruins lives and families according to Danielle,at the end of the article.

The second season, which is set to premiere less than 3 weeks away on Sep. 5, was set to feature the failing marriage of Taylor Armstrong and Russell as a major storyline. In fact reports even stated Bravo was going to touch on the physical abuse claims made by Taylor.
But in light of the recent tragedy, the network is now considering postponing the premiere or editing it. A show insider tells UsWeekly they plan to “review” the footage and “probably re-edit it. They’re going to go back and probably take stuff out, to make sure they’re being sensitive to the situation.”
Andy Cohen also acknowledged the situation in a recent blog posting, “We’re all still trying to process yesterday’s very sad news, and looking at how to proceed with the series, which has finished primary production and was set to premiere on Labor Day. We’ll let you know what we decide when we do. In the meantime, we’re sending our thoughts and prayers to Taylor and the rest of Russell’s family.”
As of the moment, it’s unclear whether the late Russell will be edited out completely, or whether his death will even be addressed on the show. Other reports also state Bravo execs held a “crisis” meeting with the cast last night at Adrienne Maloof’s mansion. The network once again reportedly told the housewives not to talk to the media.
As for Taylor, PEOPLE magazine is reporting on how she’s coping following Russell’s sudden death. “She’s not talking to anyone, she’s not leaving the house at this point,” a source tells PEOPLE. “Taylor is behind closed doors, surrounded by her family… She’s with Kennedy.”
Meanwhile Russell’s attorney Ronald Richards continues his media press tour. In a new interivew with RadarOnline, Ronald once again makes it clear the Armstrongs have zero assets revealing even their home was being rented. “This was most likely going to be a no asset divorce because neither one of them have any. There just isn’t any money, period,” said Ronald. Should he be telling the media this? Isn’t this confidential?
“Taylor has to go back to work, period. She has a kid to feed, and Taylor has very expensive taste. Taylor has family in Orange County so she might move in with them. It’s just to soon to make those decisions,” he adds.
When asked if Russell had a life insurance policy, Ronald revealed he wasn’t aware of one. “I asked that question and no one I know is aware of one,” Russell’s attorney says. Wow. Russell and Taylor have a 5-year-old daughter together, while Russell has 2 sons from previous relationships.

Following his eviction in theBig Brotherhouse last week, Lawon Exum’s decision, to not only have himself nominated but also evicted from the game in other to get “special powers” that didn’t exist, will arguably go down as the worst game play in the show’s history.
In a new interview with Digital Spy, the 39-year-old legal clerk expresses a lot of regret as he tries to explain his thought process in his decision. Lawon reveals he didn’t really consider he would have to battle an evicted HG to get back into the game and reveals the part his emotions played in his very very bad decision.
Excerpts from the interview below –
A lot of people would say you were crazy for offering to be put up for eviction. Why were you so willing to sacrifice yourself? “Because I was playing on emotions, and I really felt that I was taking one for the team. And since I took one for the team, look where it got me. But emotions played a huge part of my reason for getting evicted.”
Did you really think you would be able to come back in the game after leaving? “I actually thought I would be coming back into the game with some kind of power due to this being a game where you ‘expect the unexpected’. I overanalyzed it a bit and I did not expect the outcome that happened. The ‘chance’ of coming back didn’t sink in until I was out there competing in a competition. Do I regret that? Yes, of course. I was overanalyzing what the chance was to come back. If I didn’t overanalyze, I would have fought and never told Kalia she could put me up as a pawn. And you have to remember, when you are in that house, emotions are so high and so up and down that your thinking process is all over the place. You overanalyze every sentence, every word fragment that everyone says and every idea that is given to you in the house. So I really just blame myself for overanalyzing what the outcome would be if I got evicted and had the chance to come back.”
You seemed legitimately shocked after losing the chance to return to the game to Brendon. How did it feel to know that your chances had been diminished that quickly? “Disappointed. It was very disappointing because I let myself down and was playing on such high emotions. I felt like this competition was for me to go back into the game and at that point I was disappointed at how the whole ‘chance’ for me to return to the house played out. At that moment, I was shocked and disappointed at myself.”
You were accused by some of the other players in the house of being a “floater”. Was this part of your game plan, to try not to make too many enemies for as long as you could? “Yes! It was my plan initially to not make any enemies in the house so I could strategically plan a strong alliance and learn who was targeting me, and who was not targeting me.”
What did you imagine the task would be that would allow you to return to the house? Would you ever have considered that you would need to compete against a past evictee? “Overanalyzing it, I thought the chance would be a special power. It didn’t come to my mind that I would have to compete against another housemate until the moment Julie told me not to leave the house yet. I did not think it would be a competition or anything like that. I was thinking of past seasons and different twists, and I hadn’t thought of this. Daniele did, at the last minute, suggest this could happen.”
Shelly said that she could tell you were lying about not having volunteered to be sent home. Why did you think that putting on the act was necessary? “I thought it was necessary because Shelly was up in the room when I told Kalia that whatever she had to do, she could put me up as a pawn to further herself in the game. But in the end it bit me in the butt.”
And tonight, an all new live eviction episode of Big Brother airs on CBS at 9/8c. Following Adam’s POV win, Brendon, who just returned to the house, finds himself on the chopping block yet again. While Jeff would like to keep Brendon, so he can continue to remain the big target in the house thus taking away attention from himself, the other HGs seem ready to vote him out! We will find out tonight if Brendon can manage to survive this week. Also nominated alongside Brendon is professional Sneaky Snake Shelly.

According to a shocking new report by RadarOnline, Russell was not only bisexual, but might have taken his own life because a third party had informed him they would be making that revelation in a tell-all book about him.
“When Taylor found out about Russell’s gay explorations, that was the final straw for her and it prompted the divorce,” an insider close to the situation states. “She could put up with the fights about money and being sued, but the fact that Russell might have been cheating on her with a man was just too much for her.”
“About six months ago Taylor confided in a close friend that she’d found history for a gay website called Adam4Adam.com on Russell’s laptop,” the insider continued. “He was also spending a lot of time at the gym, but his body wasn’t changing, which she claims led her to believe he was meeting with men he’d met off the website and not spending time working out as he claimed.”
Another insider adds that Russell was approached for comment about the impending tell-all book, which included great detail about what he liked in the bedroom. “Not only was it going to come out that Russell was bisexual, but there were people on the record that were going to talk about the kind of sex he liked,” the source said. “He was into S&M type stuff; choking, rough-housing and slapping.”
Russell’s attorney Ronald Richards however ademantly defends his client citing the report is a total fabrication. Ronald states he was not aware of any tell-all book or adultery when it came to Russell. And unfortunately Russell is no longer here to defend himself.
Meanwhile, Russell’s mother John Ann Hotchkiss revealed yesterday that she blames the Bravo network for her son’s death. During an interview on HLN on Wednesday evening, Ann stated Russell suffered from being criticized on the show by other cast members, and was anxious about the new season.
“’Mom they’re just going to crucify me this season,’” he told his mother recently, Ann said. “I don’t know what to do. I’ll never survive it.’” She added: “I thought he meant business-wise.”
In fact Radar is reporting Russell’s family is seriously considering suing Bravo. “Bravo is at fault and somebody needs to pay,” Russell’s step brother Wade Jackson revealed. “Russell’s whole family was very close and they’re considering suing Bravo.” “I’m sure somebody will sue them,” Jackson added about the Armstrong family plans to litigate against the network.
I believe blaming Bravo might be a bit of a reach as the network did not force Russell to appear on the show. He could have easily walked away after the 1st season did not go so well for him. While the Housewives are typically under contract with Bravo, the husbands are not. Plus blaming reality tv or any network just seems unfair considering he had many other problems in his personal life, including financial issues and an impending divorce. So we have to ask –

Perez Hilton confirms Kirstin, who recently made headlines after being dumped by her NFL fiance Jay Cutler, will join the likes of Rob Kardashian and other rumored “stars” such as Chynna Phillips and Tiffani Thiessen on the upcoming season.
Kristin follows in the dance steps of fellow ‘The Hills’ alum Audrina Patridge, who appeared on an earlier season of the ABC hit show.
Meanwhile, days after TMZ reported Snookiand Queen Latifah had signed on for the show, Snooki aka Nicole Polizzi is now denying the story a la Queen Latifah’s earlier denial. Snooki tweeted Tuesday, “I love watching Dancing with the Stars but I am not apart of the cast ! Sorry Tweedos.”
A new report by the HollywoodLife however states this might be a negotiation ploy by the Snooks. Apparently she is still in talks to do the show but is holding out for more money.
“They are still trying to make the deal with Snooki,” dishes a source. “She was verbally in, but has yet to sign anything. She has been very concerned with the schedule and what she will be paid.”
ABC is reportedly in a rush to finalize the cast as soon as possible as the cast is being announced Aug. 29 during the Bachelor Pad. “The producers are confident that she will still join the show, but if she continues to hold out, they have people that will fill her spot. They always overcast the show,” adds the insider.

Well that didn’t last long. While the world watched Bachelor Pad lovebirds Ames Brown and Jackie Gordonride off into the sunset on the most recent episode of the show, it turns out the couple is already dunzo in real life!
“Um, well, we had a great time on the show and chose love over money in the competition,” Ames, 31, revealed to reporters. “We are not still dating but we enjoyed every moment we had together. After a little while, we split up. Nothing too exotic about it.”
The duo, who hit if off on the first night of the show, seemed to be the perfect couple after choosing love over money. Following Jackie’s elimination at the rose ceremony, Ames gave up his chance at winning $250,000 by jumping into the limo and leaving with her.
According to Ames, they only lasted for a few weeks after leaving the show. “We just maybe weren’t the ideal match,” he added.
Other reports reveal Ames was actually the one who decided to dump Jackie, 27. Jackie, while calling Ames a “wonderful person,” also hinted the break-up wasn’t mutual.
“I was shocked that it ended as it did. I thought it was potential forever,” she said. “It came out of nowhere. As far as I knew, things were great. I thought it lasted much longer than it did. I guess you didn’t. It takes two.”
Perhaps Ames, who is one of the front runners to become the next Bachelor, ended the relationship so he could be just that.

According to a new TMZ report, Russell’s estranged wifeTaylor Armstrongwas actually present when his dead body was discovered.
Sources close to Taylor reveal she and Russell had been communicating regularly and were actually supposed to meet on Monday afternoon. Russell was however a no show and Taylor became worried and started calling his friends, though none of them had heard from him.
Taylor became increasingly alarmed when Russell did not respond to her texts or calls. So on Monday evening, Taylor and a friend went to the home Russell had been residing in. The owner of the home looked through Russell’s bedroom window during which his lifeless body was discovered hanging.
The home owner dialed 911 and Russell was declared dead at 8:16 PM. It is believed Russell had been dead for hours. Taylor reportedly stayed at the home for hours after the body was discovered.
Meanwhile, this tragedy occurs just weeks before the second season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is set to premiere on Sep. 5. And as you all know, Taylor’s crumbling marriage to Russell is one of the key story lines on the new season.
This has reportedly put Bravo into panic mode as they are now trying to decide on what do to. The Hollywood Reporter states Bravo “is waiting at least 24 hours to make a decision about whether they’ll postpone the show.”
TMZ is also reporting that filming as yet to end on the new season even though a premiere date has been announced. This coincides with HR’s report that Bravo recently ordered more episodes for the series, increasing the originally planned 14 episodes to 18. TMZ adds that Bravo has instructed the cast not to talk to the press while also canceling a shoot that was scheduled for today.
Unfortunately this isn’t the first time a death has occurred in the Housewives series. Back in 2009, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss’ ex-fiance A.J. Jewellpassed away while the show was still on the air. Bravo decided back then to air the show as is while acknowledging AJ’s death in the ending credits of one of the episodes.
Some are also blaming the Housewives series for Russell’s death though that seems highly unlikely as even his attorney stated Russell’s issues stemmed from his mounting financial problems and impending divorce.
In the meantime, Bravo released this official statement on the tragedy: “All of us at Bravo are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Our sympathy and thoughts are with the Armstrong family at this difficult time.”
And finally, Russell’s ex-wife is now blaming Taylor for his death. In a shocking interview with RadarOnline, Barbara Frederickson claims Taylor “drove” Russell to his death. Wow.
“I don’t care for her at all. I think she’s the reason for this,” Barbara revealed. “She’s not who she says she is and I told him to please be careful with this woman… I warned him! She’s bad news and she drove him into this.” Barbara goes on to add that Russell has always been a good father to her son.
Barbara seems to be singing a different tune now than the one she sang years earlier when she accused Russell of domestic violence in court documents.
