Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Wishing you all a wonder day of Turkey. The workaholic in me refuses to take the day off, so let’s get right to it.
Making major headlines for crashing the recent White House State dinner is Michaele Salahi and her husband Tareq Salahi. The story gets even juicier as it turns out Michaele is one of the housewives that has been cast to be in the upcoming Bravo series – The Real Housewives of D.C.
It gets even better as Bravo cameras were there filming Michaele and her husband crashing the party. Other party goers recalled seeing Michaele step out of her car with a camera crew and a make up artist to touch up on she and her husband’s faces. Interestingly, this still failed to raise any red flags.
Having gotten away with what seems to be the impossible wasn’t good enough for Michaele, as she then proceeded to post photos from the event on her Facebook. This raised some red flags as there were no photos of her seated at the state dinner. Reports reveal she and her husband left before it was time to get seated.
NYSocialdiary describes Michaele as a “tall, blond, former fashion model,” is said be a major polo fan. The Washington Post recently reported some travails of her husband, Tareq, a polo match organizer and Oasis winery owner, who they said is behind a controversial lawsuit against another polo group, to the dismay of the venerable U.S. Polo Association.
Just when you thought the feud between the Real Housewives of Orange County housewives, Tamra Barney& Gretchen Rossi, had calmed down, comes news that their feud has once again gotten very nasty and personal. And the man in the middle of their current feud is none other than Gretchen’s current boyfriend, Slade.
According to InTouchWeekly, Tamra believes that Slade Smiley bashed her parenting skills on a recent episode. “I take raising my children very personal. Maybe it’s something he should try doing,” Tamra, 42, tells In Touch. Ouch, Tamra is referring to the news report that Slade owes $80,000 in back child support to his sick son.
Tamra doesn’t stop there, she continues, “I think he is a washed-up 40-year-old who wants to be on TV so bad he’ll do whatever it takes.”
Gretchen, 31, is however quick to come to the defense of her man. “She should focus on her own children, who obviously need the attention,” says Gretchen alluding to the troubled son of Tamra, Ryan Vieth, who has had several run ins with the law. Ryan has received a staggering number of more than 20 traffic violations over the past seven years.
“One of them went to jail recently and has not been successful at much except hitting on drunk girls that Mommy connives to get naked wasted at her home,” says Gretchen.
Yikes, this new feud is rather suprising considering Tamra has been writing in her blogs recently that she and Gretchen are now on good terms. Not certain of what Slade said about Tamra’s parenting skills in any of the recent episodes.
Things are bound to heat up on tonight’s episode of The City, as the tension mounts between Olivia Palermo and her colleague, Elle’s PR Director Erin Kaplan, over wardrobe for a television shoot.
On tonight’s episode, we get to see the two women disagree on an assignment. Erin makes an executive decision to send some of the clothes picked out by Olivia back. “I know what the producers want,” she says. “I’ve done more than my share of segments for TV.” This leaves Olivia annoyed of course, who then confronts her colleague for speaking to her dismissively. “Erin,” she asks, “would you talk to [Creative Director] Joe in the tone that you talk to me?”
“You’re not Joe,” Erin fires back. “When are you creative director of the magazine?” The argument continues as Olivia demands respect, leading Erin to then send an assistant out of the room, as the two continue to argue.
On the other side of the city, over at People’s Revolution, we get to see Roxy Olin‘s attempt to help Whitney Port/ impress her boss Kelly Cutrone fall short.
Jon Gosselin makes some startling revelations in newly leaked audio tapes, reports RadarOnline.
Jon rants against the TLC network and expresses disgust because according to him, “I put my kids out there to every pedophile on the planet and they never got paid for it.”
The audio is from a conversation Jon had back in July with his then friend & business associate, Michael Lohan. It’s safe to say Michael sold these tapes to RadarOnline. In the tape, Jon explains that he began speaking freely in public because he thought TLC was afraid of him.
He accuses the network of taking money for deals with two magazines and is angry that they didn’t share the wealth. It appears Jon believes his (supposed) knowledge of these deals means TLC will not stop him from talking – and making financial deals. He says “They haven’t said (bleep).”
The Jon & Kate Plus 8dad also claims TLC got paid in a side deal and says “I put my kids out there to every pedophile on the planet and they never got paid for it? It’s disgusting.” He continues, “If that information became public, can you imagine? Their stock would tank.”
RadarOnline has however confirmed that contrary to Jon’s belief, TLC was not paid for either magazine interview, both of which were done for publicity.
So according to the genius named Jon, it seems it’s okay for him to put his kids out there for every pedophile, as long as they get paid? Sighs. As we have previously reported, Jon is currently being sued by TLC for breach of contact. Michael Lohan is also scheduled to be deposed by TLC’s law firm, Williams & Connolly during a December court date. The final episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 aired Monday night on TLC.
TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE FINALE AND ON JON’S COMMENTS?
The finale of Dancing With The Starswas last night and Mya came out shining, as she was only three points away from perfection.
Mya made it clear she intends to win that trophy. “I haven’t worked this hard for this long not to win this thing,” she said Monday night. “That trophy is mine.”
Coming in a close second to Mya was Donny Osmond who scored with 85 out of 90 points. He and professional partner Kym Johnson earned a perfect score of 30 for their Broadway-inspired freestyle routine, which head judge Len Goodman called “an absolute show-stopper.”
Kelly Osbourne kept smiling despite landing in third place with 76 points, confessing, “I never thought we’d get this far.”
Each star will perform again on Tuesday’s episode, when a new “Dancing” champion will be crowned.
TELL US: WHO DO YOU WANT TO SEE WIN THIS SEASON’S DWTS?
The finale of More To Love aired over 2 months ago with wardrobe stylist and up and coming Plus Size Model Tali Giat winning the heart of Luke Conley. We have since received quite a bit of emails from our readers wanting an update on Tali. The great news is we were able to get in touch with Tali’s publicist, Penelope Jean, to get an exclusive interview with Miss Tali herself.
In our interview with Tali, we ask her about her experience with being on More to Love, and also get an update on she and Luke’s relationship (they are no longer together). Tali also discusses her personal and professional mission as a role model and spokesperson for healthy body image for women and girls. She is currently working to support initiatives that inspire a wider definition of beauty.
Our full interview with Tali is below -
Q. Reality Tea: More to Love was the first reality show to solely focus on plus sized women and dating, did you have any reservations about doing the show?
A. Tali: I did not have reservations about doing the show. I was open and excited for the possibility of finding true love, along with being a part of something with the potential to foster positive change in people’s perception of full figure women.
Q. Reality Tea: We have received so many positive emails and requests from our readers wanting an update on you, does this surprise you?
A. Tali: I am humbled and flattered. I am grateful for the interest, support and love shown by the show viewers; the outpouring of support continues with numerous emails daily. I think women must relate to me. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to touch so many people.
Q. Reality Tea: What kind of feedback have you received from both men and women since your appearance on the show?
A. Tali: I can say that mostly I have been getting positive feedback from both men and women. Even from people (specially women) that have never been full figured in there life, but rather judged for being too skinny, and felt the need to express to me the impact that my appearance on the show has left on them, and how they were inspired to just be themselves and overcome their fears.
Knowing that my story and journey on the show has touched so many, in some cases making a positive change in their lives, is very heartwarming . It has empowered me to want to do much more to connect with and inspire women. The people who became a part of my Facebook Fan Page and connect with me, have come to learn that I am the same Tali in real life as I appeared to be on the show.
Q. Reality Tea: Last we heard, it seemed you and Luke were giving your relationship a go, however recent updates on your facebook fan page shows that you are now single. Can you tell us what happened with your relationship with Luke?
A. Tali: I think it is important to remember that even though Luke and I found each other on a reality TV show, we are both two regular people who were trying to build a foundation to a normal healthy relationship. It was important for us to stay away from all the big buzz of being in the media, and keep grounded in order to maintain normal life and explore if this is really working for us. We both hoped we found ‘the one.’ Just like any two people in a relationships out there, we gave it a try, but unfortunately it did not work out.
Some things are meant to be, and some just not. We parted as friends with much respect for each other, and wish each other the best in life.
