If you recall, Gov. Christie suspended Albert without pay last week after discovering he used his Brownstone address to get the position. The governor had also threatened to file ethics charges unless he stepped down. Albert was receiving a $7,500 salary, plus pension and health benefits.
As for Albert’s wife Caroline Manzo, she is now voicing her support for her husband. “I support my husband 1000% and there are no improprieties here,” Caroline told RadarOnline.
“I agree with him,” she added about his decision to step down. “He’s proud of what he did on the board. He’s doing it because he loves his state and community and doesn’t want to bring any negativity… It all looks like it’s a cover up, when it’s not. There’s no hiding here.”
Albert also spoke to Radar. “I have always maintained my innocence,” Albert stated hours after he resigned. “I have maintained my residence here at The Brownstone for the past 15 years. We lived here together when we got married and when we moved out I never officially moved.”
Albert went on to add that he respects and supports Gov. Christie’s actions. In the meantime, the Manzos reveal they plan on donating Albert’s $7500 annual salary to two soldiers involved in The Wounded Warrior Project within their community.
It was a classic case of playing too hard too soon as Survivor outcast Kristina Kell found herself ousted after being on the wrong side of the numbers early on in the game.
In a new interview with PEOPLE, Kristina, 46, slams former Federal Agent? Phillip, calling him “insane and paranoid” and explains why she thought the duel match with Matt was unfair. Excerpts are below –
How did you end up on the wrong side of the numbers so early? Well with Andrea, Ashley and Natalie, I have 20-plus years on those girls, so that was a barrier to start with. And then Rob came in as our “hero.” Those girls were star struck by him. And I include Grant in that group of girls. They would walk down the beach together singing and holding hands. The three girls would bound after Rob like three Bo Dereks in 10. It was a ridiculous situation. So I was stuck with the older folks in the tribe.
Speaking of the older folks, you really did not get along with Phillip. He just had this frantic, insane, mental diarrhea that would just flow from his mouth and infect everyone there. He was paranoid. One day, his underwear flew off a clothesline while it was drying and he accused everyone of trying to steal his underwear. He’s just insane and paranoid and delusional … and an idiotic blowhard.
You looked ready to collapse when you dueled with Matt. It was tough. I was at a disadvantage. I hadn’t eaten in a day and a half; I hadn’t had water. I hadn’t slept. And then I had to go move heavy blocks around. I almost fainted a few times but my ego just wouldn’t let me faint on TV. You think they could have given me the keys and the stick, but no, they give me the heavy blocks. And they put me up against this 22-year-old Adonis who had gotten a good night’s sleep and been on the island for a few days. Matt played hard and I unfortunately lost.
And airing tonight on CBS is a new episode of Survivor during which Matt and Krista duel on Redemption Island and bond over a luxury item. While back at camp, Phillip seeks to weaken Rob’s powerful alliance. The episode airs at 8/7c.
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON KRISTINA’S INTERVIEW? DO YOU THINK ROB’S ALLIANCE IS SMART FOR NOT VOTING HIM OFF?
On the fifth episode this season titled “Beach Slap,” Larsa welcomes the ladies to an Italian-culinary tutorial at her private restaurant, but what could have been tasty turns testy because of swirling rumors and accusations. Elsewhere, Marysol returns from her elopement in Aspen; and Cristy and Alexia participate in a fashion show, but an ill-fated turn of events blindsides one of them.
Watch What Happens Live – The guests tonight will include the one and only Elsa Patton and her daughter Marysol Patton! Andy Cohen revealed on Sunday’s episode that Elsa was terrified of flying so he had to send two of his staffers to Miami to safely drive her back to NYC. Part of the journey was taped and will be shown tonight.
Elsa also tweeted (yes she is on twitter) some of her demands to Andy yesterday. “@bravoandy these are my demands. I want soft yellow roses, I’m a lady. That is all. A woman never gives more than she takes,” tweeted Elsa. Below is a pic of Mama Elsa and Marysol during their journey.
Meanwhile, a new poll is up on who is your least disliked favorite Miami housewife, and you can cast your vote below. Good luck.

TELL US – WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE MIAMI HOUSEWIFE & WHY? THOUGHTS ON TONIGHT’S NEW EPISODE?
UPDATE – The HollyWood Reporter reported in April that Bethenny Frankel sold her Skinnygirl cocktail line to Fortune Brands’ Beam Global for $120 million! You can read more about that by clicking here.
See, just four episodes into the season, some fans of the show as well as critics feel Bethenny is the villain of her own show, citing the treatment of her in-laws to being too hard on hubby Jason Hoppy.
And now the RumorFix is reporting that Bethenny is well aware of the backlash and feels she is being portrayed as “mean” on the show. She is reportedly now demanding producers re-edit episodes of her show to portray her in a better light.
Sources reveal that Bethenny is upset that some blogs are calling her out on her alleged bad behavior. The Jewish Journal referred to her as being “mean, selfish, and narcissistic.”
It seems Bethenny is not only the star of her show but also the executive producer though she hadn’t really exercised any control until now. “Bethenny is making producers re-cut all the shows to make her nicer — even the shows that have already aired. You will notice the rerun is different,” says the source.
In other Bethenny news, she continues to enjoy a reign of success as she just sold her “Skinnygirl” spirits brand to Fortune Brand’s Beam Global Spirits & Wine unit for an undisclosed amount
“Partnering with Fortune Brands and Beam Global was the right move at this time,” said Bethenny in a statement to CNN. “I created a new category that needs their muscle and distribution to take this concept worldwide in the immediate future.”
Bethenny appeared on GMA this morning, during which she stated the brand simply got too big for her to handle and that she will still be involved in the development process of the Skinnygirl brand.
Bethenny’s new book, “A Place of Yes: 10 Rules for Getting Everything You Want Out of Life” also hits the shelves today.
According to Bethenny, “a place of yes” doesn’t always mean being positive or agreeing with others. “It means that you go for what you know you can have in your gut,” she told GMA. “I’m not a yes-man by any stretch of the imagination. Right now…I say ‘no’ to a lot more than I used to because that’s saying yes to myself.”
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THE REPORT? DO YOU THINK BETHENNY IS MEAN?
While all of the stars on the show, including former cast member Chad Rodgers, had allowed their love lives to be a part of the show, Josh was the only one to keep that part of his life private.
Well, that all changes tonight as Josh makes the revelation both on the show and in his new memoir Million Dollar Agent: Brokering the Dream, which also comes out today.
According to Josh, 25, he is very pleased with the way he chose to come out. “You know my sexuality does not define me, it is not who I am, but rather it is part of me, and I did not ever want people to think of me as “the gay real estate guy,” I did not want that to be the only demographic that was watching me on TV or the only demographic to associate with me,” said Josh in an interview with San Diego Gay and Lesbian News.
“I am very glad I did things the way I did because I feel I eased people into it and I made people comfortable with ME, and then kind of just dropped the fact that I like guys instead of girls. Many people knew, many had no idea,” he added.
And how does Josh feel about his costar Madison Hildebrand, who also came out on the show, beating him to the punch? “Madison did not beat me to the punch. Madison just decided to come out on national television before I did, but as far as I know, I was out to the people I wanted to be out to well before Madison was. At the rate we are going, we might have to change the title of the show to “Two Homos and the Straight Dude.”” joked Josh adding that though he respects Madison’s approach, he chose to take “a different approach, a more subtle approach, and I kind of like the way Bravo did it … slowly revealing my life, because for the most part no one knows anything about my life other than what they can read on the Internet or what they see on the show with my family, but my private life was always kind of a mystery.”
Josh also reveals that his fellow castmate Josh Altman has been supportive. “He is a great guy and a good friend of mine and we have gotten closer since filming the show,” said Josh. “We do some business together and we get along real well. I have nothing bad to say about Josh Altman whatsoever.”
Josh is currently in a relationship with long term boyfriend Colton Thorn. Photos of Josh and Colton below. MDL airs tonight on Bravo at 9/8c. A preview clip is below –
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON JOSH’S COMING OUT? AND ON TONIGHT’S NEW EPISODE?
In fact, Emily spent most of last week in Texas with Brad, during which the above photo was taken. Photos of the couple were posted on twitter days ago by one of Brad’s friends who wrote, “Wow! I guess you can’t trust tabloids after all.”
The friend posted four photos of the couple, and on Thursday morning, Emily, 25, was photographed arriving back at Charlotte-Douglas Airport in North Carolina alone but still wearing her engagement ring. That pic is below.
In a new interview with Usweekly, Brad, 38, gushed about Emily, making it clear he is still very happy with her. “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my whole life,” Womack told UsWeekly on Thursday at Dizzy Rooster, his Austin bar. “I’m serious. I’m so happy.”
“I just put Emily on a plane 3 hours ago,” he added. “She’s awesome. She’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me.” he raved.
When asked if he thinks the relationship will work out, Brad answered “Yes!” He added, “I swear to God, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. Honestly, I’m the luckiest guy.” Definitely not protesting too much. More photos of Brad and Emily below.
As for Brad’s runner up Chantal O’Brien, she’s also doing great with her new love Jeff Razore, a Seattle native and marketing consultant. “I think because of my [Bachelor] experience, it’s allowed me to be where I am now and be in a relationship,” Chantal told PEOPLE. Reality Steve also reported that ABC wanted Chantal to be the next Bachelorette, but she turned it down due to her new relationship. No pressure there Jeff! A photo of Jeff is below.
TELL US – ARE YOU ROOTING FOR BRAD AND EMILY? WAS IT SMART OF CHANTAL TO GIVE UP THE BACHELORETTE FOR HER NEW BEAU?
Front runner Kendra Wilkinson did not come out on top despite being declared the early favorite. Kendra found herself closer to the bottom of the pack, only scoring an 18 for her cha cha dance.
The biggest surprise of the night however was 60-year-old Kirstie Alley who wowed both the audience and the judges with her high spirited cha cha dance, earning a score of 23. Kirstie and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy brought a lot of fun, energy and silliness into their dance. In fact, judge Bruno Tonioli declared it “the best of the night.”
And while Kirstie earned the highest score in the cha cha category, the ‘Karate Kid’ Ralph Macchio scored the highest points of the night, garnering a 24 for his foxtrot with partner Karina Smirnoff. “What an amazing surprise!” said Carrie Ann Inaba. “It shocked me that you had such elegance.” Len Goodman went on to declare his performance “the best foxtrot tonight.”
Failing to sizzle was talk show queen Wendy Williams, who earned a low score of 14 for her stiff cha cha with partner Tony Dovolani, who Wendy did not know who he was during their first meeting. USA Today‘sAnn Oldenburg called Wendy’s performance “awful” adding that “the talk show host was stiffer than Kate Gosselinwhen she took the floor for her cha cha cha.” Ouch.
Promising were Disney starlet Chelsea Kane and NFL player Hines Ward. Next Monday, all of the 11 stars will return to the ballroom for a new dance. Votes and scores from the first two weeks will be combined to determine who goes home on the first live results show next Tuesday, March 29.
The full scoreboard from last night is below –
Ralph Macchio & Karina Smirnoff: 24 Kirstie Alley & Maks Chmerkovskiy: 23 Chelsea Kane & Mark Ballas: 21 Hines Ward & Kym Johnson: 21 Chris Jericho & Cheryl Burke: 19 Romeo & Chelsie Hightower: 19 Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett & Louis Van Amstel: 18 Petra Nemcova & Dmitry Chaplin: 18 Sugar Ray Leonard & Anna Trebunskaya: 17 Wendy Williams & Tony Dovolani: 14 Mike Catherwood & Lacey Schwimmer: 13
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON LAST NIGHT’S DEBUT? WERE YOU SHOCKED BY KIRSTIE’S GOOD PERFORMANCE?
The third episode of the Real Housewives of Orange County aired last night with what felt like a night of TMIs. From Gretchen’s sex talk about Slade to the marital nightmare between the Bellinos, ending with the Tamra soft-core bathtub scene with Eddie. With that said, let’s get right to the recap!
The episode beings with mogul Gretchen, who is clearly still harboring some resentment over Alexis‘s princess comment, as she dons a tiara to open the door for Alexis. For someone who claims to be very busy, Gretchen sure seems to have a lot of time to waste shopping for tiaras, and getting princess license plates. Perhaps this is why she needed an assistant. Alexis regrets the day she ever uttered the word princess, and following a brief chat, the ladies head out to do some shopping while I attempt to make sense of Alexis’s maxi dress.
