Even after 30-year-old realtor, Reid Rosenthal, was eliminated from the The Bachelorette, he remained persistent. He returned to Hawaii so he could propose to Jillian Harris, leading to a second rejection.
“I thought I was the best guy with her,” Reid admits. “I knew I wanted to spend tomorrow. I wasn’t 100 percent sure we were going to get married in six months or a year, but I knew she was someone I wanted to spend a lot of time with. I actually thought our relationship was 50 times better than the other guys. I thought it was my job to come back and get her.”
Reid also wanted to clarify that returning to Hawaii was his own idea and based on his feelings for Jillian. The producers were not involved but had to ensure it was okay. Even though he has strong feelings for Jillian, Reid says he wishes her the best with her engagement.
As a realtor, Reid’s contact information has to be public so he has hired a staff to assist with phone calls and emails. He also believes that his appearance on the show has been beneficial for business, however he is uncertain if he could do it again if invited to be the star of the next “The Bachelor”. One thing he also learned and hopes will help in future relationships is to effectively express his feelings.
In an interview with ET, Exec Producer Mike Fleiss says the new “The Bachelor” will be announced in a couple of months. In addition, he is also paying attention to who the fans want to see based on the poll results on abc.com.
Interestingly, our poll and ABC.com shows Reid in the lead as being the new bachelor.
Megan Hauserman’s new show, Megan Wants A Millionaire, is set to premier tonight on VH1 at 9/8c. Megan, who is arguably one of the more infamous famous VH1 reality stars, is set on finding true love as long as there’s millions involved.
Megan recently spoke to the Jacksonville Observer about her new show and getting over Bret Michaels. Megan appeared on the 2nd season of Rock of Love.
“I really was heartbroken over him for a long time,” Megan admitted about Bret. “I went on there and I did fall in love with him, but we remain friends.”
And how did her new dating show come about? “It was something that I happened to say on Charm School– that I wanted to be a trophy wife,” Megan explained. “The next thing I knew, there were hundreds and thousands of men applying for the job. You have to be careful what you wish for, but it could be a lot worse.”
TELL US – WILL YOU BE WATCHING MEGAN WANTS A MILLIONAIRE?
It had been heavily rumored that Kiptyn Locke would be the next Bachelor, but ABC is saying not so quick, as they have still yet to name the new Bachelor.
It however seems all but certain that the next Bachelor will be picked from this season of The Bachelorette. The 3 front runners are Reid Rosenthal, Kiptyn Locke, and Jake Pavelka.
Personally, none of these guys stand out that much to me, but I think I would rather see one of them be the new Bachelor than someone new. So we ask you this question. Who do you want to see as the next Bachelor? Feel free to comment and vote in the poll below.
Kim Zolciak of the Real Housewives of Atlanta recently filed a police report against fellow cast member Nene Leakes, alleging Nene strangled her during an argument. The Insider is reporting that the Atlanta police have also confirmed that the incident took place, though the case is still under investigation.
According to Kim’s publicist, the police report has been made public about the physical altercation between her client and Nene.
“Mrs. Leakes has now proven to the world that she is not the woman she claims. She has spoken publicly of being a former victim of domestic violence and her charity work to help others that have suffered the same. And then she would have such anger to choke my client instead of acting like a REAL woman and talking their personal conflicts out or simply walking away. Violence is a very serious issue and we are not going to be taking this incident lightly”.
In addition, the publicist hopes that Nene will get the anger management therapy she needs to deal with her emotions.
It’s really sad that these two grown women are fighting- I suspect we will be watching the real show down on subsequent episodes of the Real Housewives of Atlanta series.
Remember Aaron Buerge from the 2nd season of The Bachelor in 2002? Aaron presented the final rose and ring to elementary school psychologist, Helen Eksterowicz, but the relationship ended not long after it started.
Several years later, Aaron has finally found his mate.
“Long story short, I got some hot dog mustard on her the first time we met,” says Buerge, 35. The banker and restaurant owner confirms to PEOPLE that he will marry his bride-to-be, Angye McIntosh, 33, a commercial insurance agent, on Aug. 8 in their hometown of Springfield, Mo
This is Aaron’s first proposal following the bachelor series about 7 years ago. This time, Aaron is confident that he has found his mate. “I’d like to have a family,” he says. “I’m not getting any younger. At this point, when you’re in your mid-30s, most of the drama of dating has gone away. There’s a lot more maturity in your relationship. I know from my experience what I’m looking for, what makes me happy. I’m not gun-shy. I’m amazingly calm about the whole situation, believe it or not. That’s kind of a good sign.”
Aaron describes his fiancée as been a genuine person that is hardworking, smart and independent. Even though he can’t see what she sees in him, he can’t wait to take her as his wife.
RadarOnline is reporting some interesting and shocking news. According to them, Jillian Harris’s new fiance Ed Swiderskicontinues to text his ex girlfriend, Bethany Steffen (pictured above). These texts are described as being more than platonic.
Multiple sources tell RadarOnline that Ed was texting and emailing Bethany even during the filming of The Bachelorette. This story seems to have some merit to it, as RealityStevereported part of an alleged email exchange between Ed and Bethany during the filming of the show.
“He broke off his relationship with Bethany just a week before he began shooting The Bachelorette but soon resumed contact with her via texts and emails,” a source told Radar. Another source described the texts as being “sexy.”
The report says Ed continued his sexy text messages towards his ex even after he finished filming. His ex is described as being stunned at news that Ed was the winner. “Ed’s sexy messages to Bethany certainly aren’t of the kind a happily engaged man should be sending.”
Radar also reports Ed and Bethany had dated for four months. Ed broke off communication with Bethany before the show, effectively dumping her (but just forgetting to tell her!).
I like these two as a couple and was hoping the Ed girlfriend rumors were false, but the evidence keeps piling up against Ed. Jillian is planning on moving to Chicago to live with Ed on September 1.
Bethenny Frankel made an appearance on Bravo’s new talk show – “Watch What Happens” last night as the call in guest. Bethenny denied rumors of getting her own reality show, as previously reported. When asked if she was leaving The Real Housewives of New York, she answered – “Of course I’m coming back! If you guys invite me back, I’ll be back.”
More importantly, and I’m not sure if anyone else caught this, but Bethenny referred to her supposed fiance, Jason Hoppy, as her boyfriend. When asked about the party planner incident, she said, “As my boyfriend said, the wheels came off.”
Does this mean Bethenny is not engaged after all? or did she just make an error when speaking?
It seems very unlikely that she would mistakenly refer to her fiance as her boyfriend. Come to think of it, Bethenny has never publicly confirmed being engaged. Her rep was the one who told news outlets that Jason and Bethenny would be “definitely getting married.”
So what do we have here? Bethenny is not getting her own reality show as reported, and is likely not engaged as well.
