Well, it seems that these crazy kids are really trying to make it work. While there have been divorce rumors galore since it came out that Lamar Odom was suffering from addiction issues and multiple alleged affairs, Khloe Kardashian appears to be standing by her man. I can only imagine what Kris Jenner thinks about this!
Khloe has been out and about lately (most notably at a sex themed nightclub with her underage half-sisters), but the couple hasn't been seen together in public since the news of Lamar's troubles were first reported. Sources and insiders (all fifteen billion of them!) have said everything from they are destined to split to they are going work through their marital woes. Who knows?
Dear Preachers of L.A., Why did you have to turn last night's episode into a platform for the many commercials of Pete Wentz's Best Ink? To tat or not to tat, that was the ONLY question. Don't get me wrong, I loved seeing Jay Heazlip and Ron Gibson do what they do best which is warm my heart and pump me up, respectively. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the spunky side to Wayne Chaney, although his wife got a bit too Judgy McJudgerson. I honestly didn't miss Noel Jones or Deitrick Haddon. Oh, and Clarence McClendon was there, too.
Ron is getting spiffed up at the barber shop because he's the key note speaker at an upcoming minister's conference. The other shop patrons question Ron about his thug swagger. Doesn't he want to be a part of the board at church? Ron isn't willing to give up his trademark bling just to fit in with the more conservative clergy men. Speaking of conservative, welcome back Clarence. We missed you…maybe? He's recruited his oldest son to help out with his ministry. It's a bit of a challenge for both of them.
Loretta has invited Myesha and Christy to her restaurant to bond over food, and Myesha is very hesitant to try some of the dishes. The ladies discuss Deitrick and Dominique's upcoming wedding that Noel will be officiating. Myesha asks how the others feel about couples having babies out of wedlock, and Loretta responds she doesn't judge anyone…not even Christy for her tattoos. Myesha looks appalled and tries to explain away her aversion to tattoos, but she's digging herself a deeper hole by comparing tattoos to sinning. Christy then schools Myesha with Scripture, and Loretta coaxes Myesha to admit that getting a tattoo doesn't make someone a bad person.
I'm not trying to wish away 2013 by any stretch of the imagination, but 2014 seems to be shaping up to be just peachy in regard to new reality shows.
The original member of the Funky Bunch turned acclaimed actor and Entourage creator? Check. My favorite member of NKOTB turned scary guy in Sixth Sense? Check. Their mother and brother Paul? The actual dudes who inspired the characters in Entourage? Check and check. Your interest has to be piqued, right?
I'm not going to say, "I told you so," but only because VH1 doesn't seem to listen to what I have to say. After all, it brought back the original Love & Hip Hop, didn't it? It seems the network is hell bent on reviving Basketball Wives: LA with new ladies and new drama. Shocking, I know.
The new crew, along with some veteran cast members, are currently filming the upcoming season, and things among the ladies hasn't been all "raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens" if you get my drift. Now, gossip is swirling that the oftensometimes slightly more even-keeled than the rest Draya Michele may have peaced out before the season concluded.
You know what they say about Splits? She's always got a leg up on a table the other ladies! Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'Kyle Richards is playing a delicate game of chess with old and new frenemies and making sure whatever she sees on an episode goes into her blog to make her the underdog. I will say that Lisa Vanderpump's edit isn't helping matters, but Kyle will never be the victim, no matter how chummy she gets with Brandi Glanville or whether she's able to prove that Yolanda Foster is a big fat liar!
In her Bravo blog, Kyle recaps the episode for us, and she starts off very tame. She begins, "Seeing Yolanda sick like that really makes one appreciate their health. You can see how weak she feels and hard that must be for a strong woman like Yolanda. Without the support and love of family it would be be so much more difficult to go through that. She is fortunate to have such strong support system," adding, "When Brandi was moving into her house and said she needed her mommy, I could SO relate! I always say that. Unfortunately, I don't have mine anymore but still always feel that. Brandi is so lucky to still have her mom and they seem to have a loving, fun relationship." Cue the violins!
Forget Kenya Moore's fan flipping antics, Real Housewives of Atlanta'sPhaedra Parks practically has sweet tea oozing through her veins, as evidenced from her new book Secrets of the Southern Belle: How to Be Nice, Work Hard, Look Pretty, Have Fun, and Never Have an Off Moment. In an interview with Cupid's Pulse, Phaedra opens up on her life both on and off RHOA.
Of being an entertainment lawyer and a Bravolebrity, Phaedra says, “Now, I can say I’ve pretty much done everything when it comes to TV – from the licensing deals to being the on-air talent."
As evidenced by this week's episode, Phaedra is also great at dressing the part of her other new venture…funeral director. She shares, “Unfortunately, I got into this industry because I had a lot of great friends who passed. People would ask me to help with the funeral arrangements, and I actually became very intrigued by every aspect of the mortuary process – from picking out the makeup and dressing the body to the funeral service. I always paid a lot of attention to the preparation and all of the details.”
Oh Bethenny Frankel, whatever are we going to do with you? After deciding Jason Hoppy wasn't the husband she wanted or needed, the former reality star turned talk show host says she's nowhere near ready to date again, although that conflicts with rumors that she's been seeing Warren Lichtenstein. I won't mention that just last month she let it slip that she's seeing someone. Oops! I guess I just did!
Bethenny admits that she has no desire to be part of a couple again. She blames her attitude towards a relationship on the fact that going through this divorce is much harder than she'd ever anticipated. She also manages to throw shade at her soon-to-be-ex-husband. It's like Groundhog's Day around here, isn't it?
There is crazy and then there is Real Housewives of Atlanta'sKenya Moore. She may be Gone with the Wind fabulous, but I think that wind may have also blown away some of her sanity with it! However, it only makes her all the more entertaining when addressing last week's episode in regards to NeNe Leakes and Porsha Stewart.
She begins her Bravo blogin a way that only Krayoncecould, and it's amazing–her delusions, her life, and her take on last week's premiere, apparently! Kenya starts, "Did you miss me? That’s a rhetorical question of course. Of course you did! LOL! Have you missed my twirls, my curls, and my Gone with the Wind fabulousness? I’ve had the time of my life over the past year. My life has changed in such a positive way, it’s been a dream. My love life has drastically changed and I am so close to having everything in life I’ve always wanted."
