Honey Boo Boo in Manhattan

They're baaa–ack!  And no one is more happy about it than this girl.  Y'all know I think the Thompson-Shannons of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo put the "real" back in reality television.  Sure, they are unhealthy, and they may not set the best example in every aspect of their lives, they are certainly much smarter than they get credit for from most viewers.

June Shannon wants to make sure her daughters never feel entitled.  She's often said that this crazy ride can end just as quickly as it started, so she isn't going to change how they once lived.  Now in the second season of the family's hit TLC show, she seems hell bent on continuing that trend, as evidenced on last week's first episode.

It's no secret I love the kids from Jersey Shore (some much more than others, of course).  I can GTL with the best of them, except I am not a member of a gym, I tend to blind people at the beach with my pastiness, and the only one who does my laundry is me.  That said, y'all have to admit that the orange crew has grown up and calmed down more than anyone ever expected.  Makes me proud…

I understood when communities didn't want the drunken, brawling, slipper-wearing, Britney flashing, roid raging guidos and guidettes falling all over their boardwalks, but times have changed.  They've changed.  Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley still enjoy time in front of MTV's cameras for their spin-off Snooki & JWoww, but now they are planning weddings and burping babies instead of planning ragers and, well, just burping.

This newfound maturity doesn't seem to matter to the community of Pelican Island, New Jersey.  They don't want the show filming anywhere near them.  Need a refresher?  Catch up here.  However, now Snooki and JWoww aren't giving up without a fight!

I could be wrong, but I'm going to venture a guess that any celebrity couple who finds themselves facing divorce is just jinxing the situation if they claim to be "amicable."  Case in point?  Reality star Bethenny Frankel and Bethenny Ever After prop (and Bethenny's soon-to-be-ex-husband) Jason Hoppy.

Since the pair announced their uncontested and friendly split, the duo has been anything but.  Friends of the pair are playing quite the game of he said/she said in the tabloids, and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight.  Now, new court documents are apparently alleging even uglier undertones…but can we believe it?

Things seem to be looking up for Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta's K. Michelle.  It wasn't too long ago that the singer was contemplating voodoo to improve her sex life, and she was feuding with her co-stars.

However, now the reality star is revealing that she's got a new man, a new album, and a new show?  What a difference a season makes!

The further we get into this season of Real Housewives of Orange County, the more I find myself liking Lydia McLaughlin. She calls it like she sees it, and she doesn't stoop to the catty level of her co-stars.  It's refreshing!  This week, she dishes on the tense relationship between Vicki Gunvalson and her daughter where Brooks Ayers is concerned, as well as that unsuccessful sit down between former besties Gretchen Rossi and Alexis Bellino.

In her Bravo blog, Lydia discusses returning from the Great White North to a sense of normalcy.  She writes, "Coming off of the girls trip to Canada, it was good to get back to our normal routines. This episode really showed all of our personal lives rather then our relationships with one another. . .and I kind of liked that."  You know, of all these women, I think Lydia is the only one who truly does enjoy being normal and drama-free!

You know, I have mad respect for how hard the ladies of the housewives' franchise work.  When they aren't filming drama-licious episodes, they are on a constant media tour, touting their products, and giving a whirlwind of interviews.  Of course, we all know that no housewife is on her game more than Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa Giudice, and you have to give her mad respect for that!

Speaking to Out In Jersey, Tre dishes on everything from her favorite dishes (what a segue!) to her family dramz.  Of her latest cookbook Fabulicious On The Grill, Teresa opines, "It's really refreshing right?! This book is all about eating clean, and exercising of course. You are what you eat, people need to get that by now," adding, "I've been exercising for the past two seasons and it's been great, they really go hand in hand. I cook the way you see in the book, simple and easy, and always with fresh ingredients. That's really what people need to understand, it doesn't have to be fancy. You can make a great meal with fresh and simple ingredients."

Teresa also reveals that she's always had a passion for cooking, and she hopes that her girls will share her love of all things culinary.  She says, "I'm first generation Italian, it's definitely what I love to do. The cooking, the cleaning, all of the traditional things like that, like the old days. I really think that the new generation loses that, and it's really important. Those are the things that were instilled in me, like keeping a good house and having old school values. I want my daughters to do these things for their families, which is what really inspired me to do the books. It's a memoir for my daughters to have for the future."

So, last night was the big recital for Abby Lee Miller's studio, and while y'all deserve a better intro, I'm kind of baffled/saddened/confused about what happened on last night's Dance Moms.  Let's just get on with the recap, shall we?

The girls are preparing for the ALDC annual dance concert.  Abby allows her girls to be slightly thrilled for their group dance victory last week before announcing Paige as the bottom of the pyramid.  She makes Paige share why she's at the bottom…and it's for a minute mistake in the group routine.  Kelly is livid.  Maddie gets praised for a costume mishap, and her daughter is the lowest of the low for coming out of a turn too soon.  Kelly says as much, and Abby is irate.  To make her point, she makes Maddie drop and give her twenty push-ups to "appease" Kelly.  That is horrible.  Kelly's beef is with Abby, not with Maddie, and it's sick to see how Abby tries make alienate Maddie from her peers.

It's no shock to any of  you that the drama was front and center on last night's Real Housewives of New Jersey when the retreat that Teresa Giudice organized turned into a Joe Boxer situation with Poison Gorga battling brother-in-law Juicy Giudice.  Kathy Wakile has her own take on what's gone down thus far this season, and she's talking to OK about the craziness.

Discussing how it's hard to re-watch the drama after the fact, Kathy explains, "It scratches the surface again and that hurt keeps coming up. It’s hard to watch it because you’re like, ‘Oh my God—that’s what we look like.’ Sometimes it’s about the hurt and not about the actions that make is so bad. And we’ve come so far that you don’t want that to suck you back in."

She adds, "You have to rise above it and say, ‘Okay, I’m glad I’m not there anymore.’ It’s easy to add negativity because you now see what the other party was saying and you can easily start saying things and falling into that trap. You start reliving those patterns so you’re really not in a better place if you allow yourself to do the same things. Then you really haven’t learned anything."
