As a faithful viewer of both Vanderpump Rules and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, I just cannot decide how I feel about Lisa Vanderpump. Watching Vanderpump Rules, I want to start bartending so Lisa can adopt me and take me under her wing with a restaurant named in my honor. When Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is on the next night, I’m scared of falling victim to secondhand manipulation while I sit on my couch at home. It is essentially a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde situation.
To add to my confusion, the woman who stormed out of a lunch because she felt ignored while Dorit Kemsley comforted Kyle Richards while she was crying is the same person who is an avid philanthropist and LGBT advocate. It’s just so tough to reconcile my thoughts when it comes to Lisa Vanderpump, yet I will never turn away from any of her shows and I have seen every single episode. Multiple times.
The women took issue with Erika after she picked a room to sleep in at the beach house, but didn’t end up staying over. It was Erika’s time of the month and she wanted to deal with that privately. When she returned in the morning, the women accused Erika of having this all planned out and Kyle Richards referred to her behavior as “weird” multiple times.
Considering that the demise of his marriage played out during the last few Real Housewives of Orange County seasons, it’s not too surprising that David Beador will not be on the show next season. The fans heard all about his affair, watched him renew his vows with Shannon Beador, and eat potato chips in front of her while she was on a diet before she confirmed the end of their marriage during the reunion taping.
It seems like a given that David would be off the show now that he and Shannon aren’t together, but thanks to Housewives ex-husbands like Peter Thomasand Frank Catania, who are very present on their exes’ shows, this is something that needs to be clarified. Even so, David did seem uncomfortable in front of the camera, so it isn’t at-all shocking that he’s done with the show. Plus he has a new girlfriend these days.
Typically when people get drunk and rowdy, the most they have to deal with is a pounding headache and some questionable social media footage. The same cannot be said for former countess Luann de Lesseps after her Christmas Eve arrest for drunk and disorderly conduct.
Aside from being in the public eye thanks to Real Housewives of New York, the story just kept building up. There were allegations that she kicked an officer, attempted to escape a police car, threatened “I’ll kill you all,” and among other things, rumor has it that this all went down when she attempted to drunkenly hook up in a hotel room that wasn’t her own, while the housekeeping staff was in the middle of turn down surface.
The Camille Grammer that we “met” during Season 1 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is back on our television screens. Well, at least the aspects that made for amazing TV. She’s left the negative attributes in the past. This time around, Camille is on the right side of history (i.e. putting Dorit Kemsley in check) and it is everything.
Most of the Real Housewives of Orange Countyfans will rejoice over this news: Peggy Sulahian will not be back next season. She seemed like a nice enough person, but she really didn’t fit in with the cast at all. That’s not necessarily a bad thing since the last season of the show was its worst one yet.
Nevertheless, a cast shake up was much-needed. Peggy was not super close with any of her costars, she was not (intentionally) funny, and she just wasn’t a big hit with (most of) the fans. So did she leave the show or was she fired?
As much as I loved Stassi Schroeder’s commitment to the murder theme of her birthday party, it was tough not to develop second hand embarrassment watching her storm out of her own event, yelling at her best friends, and leaving them all with the bill.
Thankfully for Stassi, she appeared on Watch What Happens Live on the same night that episode aired, to clear some things up. She didn’t really have an excuse for her behavior, but at least she owned up to it.
