Bachelor Pad

Bad news for fans of the Bachelor Pad. The Bachelor Pad, the place where Bachelor and Bachelorette castoffs go to catch diseases 15 more minutes of fame and a second chance at love to win $250,000, will not air this summer.

Mike Fleiss, the mastermind behind all things Bachelor, nonchalantly tweeted the news. I'm kind of crushed, as Bachelor Pad is trashy summer TV at its finest, and I definitely need more of an explanation!

Reality Steve, the spoiler king behind all things Bachelor, weighed in on the issue. "Not surprised," Reality Steve tweeted. "Ratings good but didn't "fit" with ABC/Disney image."

We also came across a few spoilerish pictures of Desiree Hartsock on her first date as the Bachelorette. Click continue reading for the too cute pics!

There is a lot going on in the world of the Bachelor today…past and present.  First up, everyone's favorite pilot turned famewhore Jake Pavelka is discussing his love, the talented Kristin Chenoweth.  I will never, ever understand that situation as long as I live.  She's just so cute, I want to put her in my pocket, but I am certainly questioning her romantic choices of late.

You know who else is questioning his romantic choices (and rightfully so)?  Why, it's current Bachelor Sean Lowe!  Everyone can breathe a sigh of relief, because it appears that even though he keeps picking the atrocious Tierra LiCausa, Sean now recognizes he was clearly hoodwinked…what a cute expression.  Golly, Sean.  And speaking of Tierra, she has to command that attention, right?  Just wait until you see her recent Instagram picture!

First up, here's some news that I am sure will send you into a tailspin of surprise. Bachelor Pad's most unlikely lovebirds Lindzi Cox and Kalon McMahon have split! Le sads.

Lindzi shares with WetPaint that the couple was definitely in love but distance and trust issues drove them apart. Oh – and she pretty much blames Kalon for everything. No surprise there! Once a douche, always a douche!

"After the show we both put effort in making it work, but as most people know having a long distance relationship can be tough," Lindzi reveals. "I was willing to go the extra mile but unfortunately Kalon wasn't in a position to meet me halfway."

Leave it to Ashley "Build-A-Bear" Hebert to buck the system when it comes to wedding etiquette.  Seriously, someone get this girl an Emily Post book stat!  No, I'm being too hard on Ashley and her fiancé J.P. Rosenbaum.  I should be applauding the Bachelorette pair for actually making it down the aisle given the curse that seems to plague all relationships born of the Bachelor franchise.  Did you know that out of twenty-four seasons there have been twenty-one engagements that failed?  I mean, yes, two of those engagements belonged to both Brad Womack and former flame Emily Maynard, but those odds aren't good!  My math is bad…I realize that Emily's engagement to Brad doesn't factor in, but I feel like it is worth mentioning.  Lots of failed relationships!

Of course, when Chris Harrison talks about the most dramatic rose ceremonies ever I never thought that he would try to orchestrate the most dramatic televised wedding ever.  I don't know whether to be disgusted or proud for what will surely be Bachelor Pad style television.  Slow clap, Mr. Harrison, slow clap.

Wow! Bachelorette bad boy Kalon McMahon and Bachelor sweetheart Lindzi Cox are the last Bachelor Pad 3 couple standing! Many Bachelor Pad fans were shocked to witness Kalon and Lindzi form an immediate connection. In fact, the two were so connected, they barely played the game.

Kalon and Lindzi have kept things quiet, but they're still very much together. Unlike Tony Pieper and Blakeley Jones, who got engaged before the cameras stopped rolling, moved in together immediately, and broke up just a few months later, Kalon and Lindzi are taking things slow. Following the Bachelor Pad, Kalon moved from Houston to L.A. and helped launch Givebones, a company that sells dog products online and donates ten percent of its profits to animal shelters and charities. Lindzi still lives in Seattle.

When asked about the relationship, Kalon said, "[Long-distance relationships] are difficult. I did one once and I told myself I’d never do it again. But here we are … We’re giving it a shot. We’ll see what happens. She’s wonderful."

Wow! October is a BAAAAD month for Bachelor Nation! Three couples in a row have called it quits on their engagements. The latest is Bachelor Pad 3's surprise couple Blakeley Shea and Tony Pieper!

If you recall Tony proposed to Blakely at the BP3 finale with a $100,000 Neil Lane ring and a tearful Blakeley ecstatically said yes. Blakeley relocated to Portland, OR to live with Tony and his young son and a mere ONE MONTH (that's some Kim Kardashian time!) later the couple has called it quits.

"Unfortunately, things didn't work as we had hoped," Tony told with Wetpaint. "No one is to blame. It just ended up being a lot harder than we expected. I wish her nothing but the absolute best. She deserves total happiness."

Bachelor Pad Season 3 began with a mix of fan favorites, drunken losers, and super fans. Last week, Nick Peterson and Rachel Trueheart won the final challenge and chose to bring Chris Bukowski and Sarah Newlon with them to the finale. Ed Swiderski and Jaclyn Swartz were eliminated. They were beyond shocked. With a murderous look in her eye, Jaclyn sobbed, "Rachel is dead to me."

Chris Harrison welcomes back the Bachelor Pad losers… Ryan "not gettin' any" HoagKalon McMahon and Lindzi Cox (cheers), Reid Rosenthal (lukewarm cheer), Jaclyn and Ed, Erica Rose, Jamie Otis (ready for a costume partyabsolute silence), Tony Pieper and Blakeley Jones (cheers), and Michael Stagliano (huge cheer). Also, the super fans – SWAT, David, Donna, Paige, Brittany, and Erica.

The losers vote for the winning couple of Bachelor Pad 3. Who will it be – Nick and Rachel or Chris and Sarah? And, as always, there's only one prize in Bachelor Pad. <wink, wink>

Sounds like Chris Bukowski, the breakout star villain of Bachelor Pad 3, wants to cash in on his fifteen minutes of fame shame!

Chris recently left Chicago (Yay for Chicago!), moved to Maryland (our condolences), and bought a restaurant and bar in Washington, DC. For the eats part of this venture, Wetpaint reports that Chris enlisted the help of Chef Dimitri Moshovitis of Cava and Sugo.

Financial investors include Kalon McMahon and Ed Swiderski. How sweet… keeping it in the [dysfunctional] family! Kalon is always good for a laugh. He recently tweeted, “Perhaps dishes named after each of us … Bukow Burger? Ed’s Flying Pickle?”

Yummy… road trip, anyone?
