Basketball Wives

Yeah, you have to love when someone becomes all about self-help.  It's even more entertaining when that person is Chad Johnson.  Don't get me wrong, I have thought for a long time that Chad is a total d-bag, and his domestic incident with Basketball Wives' Evelyn Lozada certainly exacerbated that.  Bless him.  It appears that Mr. Ochocinco is learning a lot from calf tattoos and shame.

The former NFL star–and former husband, for that matter–is taking steps to improve his self-image temper.  Taking a page from every violent celebrity's playbook, Chad has enrolled in anger management counseling.  Good for him?

Chad Johnson has apparently had a change of heart (or a return to sanity). The NFL free agent who was all about trying to save his marriage to Evelyn Lozada last week has realized the marriage is dead. Perhaps it had something to do with Evelyn standing by her decision to press charges against him for battery.

Yesterday, after being officially charged with misdemeanor battery, Chad pled "Not Guilty." TMZ reports that his attorney entered the plea in Broward County Court yesterday morning and Chad was not present in court. If convicted Chad faces up to a year in prison.

Chad followed that up by officially filing divorce papers of his own. In the papers he admits that his marriage to the Basketball Wives star is "irretrievably broken" following the domestic violence incident. This comes days after Chad got a tattoo of Evelyn's face on his calf in a last-ditch attempt to save his marriage.

A month after the headbutt that ended his marriage happened, Chad Johnson has been officially charged with misdemeanor battery against Evelyn Lozada!

The State Attorney for Broward County, Florida tells TMZ that If convicted, Chad faces up to a year in jail. Chad was arrested and Evelyn pressed charges against him following the incident. This is not his first offense; he was previous charged with domestic battery against a former girlfriend.

Soon after the Basketball Wives star filed for divorce, unfortunately Chad is refusing to sign the papers and is instead getting tattoos of Evelyn's face. Nothing says 'I love you' like a headbutt followed by emblazoning one's calf with a badly rendered drawing

Basketball Wives star and producer Shaunie O'Neal certainly surrounds herself with some classy people, I'd say.  You know what they say though, birds of a feather and all that jazz!

The show has been plagued with lawsuits since its inception, but they usually involve peripheral players.  Yet another legal entanglement surrounding the show has been settled as well, and it involves Shaunie's friend and "celebrity shoe consultant" Rashidah Ali.  Rashidah was featured on a few early episodes of the series as a pal of Shaunie.  Rashindah was sued for $10 million after allegedly cutting a man in the face with a box cutter.  What is it with these women and their box cutters?  Paging Kenya Bell

It's not a good time to married to a basketball player apparently.  Divorce is in the air for not one, but two, Basketball Wives stars.  I guess no one should be surprised, given that being a wife isn't necessarily a precursor to be on the show!

While Evelyn Lozada and Chad Johnson are still in a tumultuous downward spiral after the domestic incident, Evelyn's target Kenya Bell can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel with her divorce from Charlie Bell…and that light is saying "cha-ching!"

Oh Chad Johnson…what were you thinking?  Chad changed his Twitter profile picture and showed off a new leg tattoo – of soon-to-be-ex-wife Evelyn Lozada's face!

So, we gotta ask: do you think it's temporary? Or the real deal?  And is it creepy or a sweet gesture? Do you think these two will try to patch things up?

After fighting in court for seven years, Basketball Wives star Tami Roman and ex-husband Kenny Anderson have settled their child support lawsuit. Tami's child support woes were documented on Basketball Wives

Tami filed the lawsuit in 2005, claiming Kenny stopped paying the court-ordered $8,500 a month child support he was supposed to pay for their two daughters. All together, the missed payments came to a whopping $800,000.

Uh oh.  Things continue to get worse for Chad Ochocinco Johnson.  It seems that his prior bad behavior could possibly be used against him, and if so, he may be facing some jail time for head butting soon to be ex-wife Evelyn Lozada.  Chad's violent past is coming back to haunt him.

While he's lost his wife (obviously), Miami Dolphins contract, reality show, and endorsement deals, Chad could also be facing some serious jail time.  How serious?  He could be sentenced to a year in prison!
