New Yorker Bethenny Frankel has experienced the devastation of Superstorm Sandy firsthand. The Bethenny Ever After star who lives in TriBeCa mentioned that her building has been through multiple evacuation drills and was without power, but on the bright side she was able to spend 24/7 with husband Jason Hoppy and daughter, Bryn.
And using her newfound wealth, the reality star decided to help those less fortunate than by donating $50,000 the Red Cross. Bethenny took to Twitter to beseech fans and others to donate, writing: "Please give back to the tri-state area that has given so much to us @RedCross simply Txt REDCROSS 90999 to make a $10 donation."
Adding to the awesomeness of Bethenny's donation, Skinnygirl Cocktails – owned by BeamGlobal has decided to match Bethenny's personal donation by donating another $50,000. In addition to that, Skinnygirl Daily provided 5,000 Skinnygirl On The Go bars to the Red Cross relief effort in New Jersey to be handed out to victims.
Say it ain't so! I was upset enough to hear that my Silver Fox's daytime talk show has not been renewed, but now there are rumors swirling that Anderson Live may be replaced with Bethenny Frankel's show. Now, I don't have anything against Bethenny (that said, I have nothing for her either), but I do adore Anderson Cooper. Plus, having seen Bethenny's show, it's not something I would watch on a regular basis. Anderson, however, is a daily staple.
While I feel slightly placated due to the fact that Anderson's show will stick around until summer of next year, there is another show already circling his time slot. Before Bethenny fans remind me that she isn't personally responsible for Anderson's cancelation and she likely has little to do with her show taking its place, I totally realize that. It's really not so much that I'm opposed to Bethenny's show becoming syndicated, I just really enjoy Anderson's show.
Stop the presses and pour me a Skinnygirl margarita! On second thought, don't…I prefer my cocktails to taste good and go straight to my hips.
I have some wonderful news that will excite the masses. Whether you're a diehard Bethenneedy fan, a Bethennybody-else-but-her hater, or a passive and neutral Frankel, my dear, I don't give a damn, you are going to like what I have to say! Well, that third group probably couldn't care less, but the others–oh, the others!–will be thrilled! P.S. I'm working on a trademark for my newly coined phrases, so use at your own risk. TM, Ms. Frankel, TM!
Anyhoo, can you guess who this post is about? Anyone? Real Housewives of New York veteran and purveyor of Hoppylicious spin-offs and diet liquor concoctions Bethenny Frankel made an announcement earlier Monday on her website. The post was aptly titled "My Big Announcement." You have to give her credit, Bethenny always has been a straight shooter!
Bethenny Frankel's marriage to Jason Hoppy has been under scrutiny since day one because, well, her entire marriage and relationship has played out for TV on her various reality shows.
Most recently Bethenny and Jason were seen battling constantly on the third season of Bethenny Ever After, with Bethenny admitting the second year of marriage has been very rocky and full of tribulations. Things seemed to be going well for the couple by the end of the season as they partnered together to renovate a fantastic new apartment and made plans to temporarily locate to LA for Bethenny's talk show 'bethenny'.
bethenny did fantastic in its test run and now news is that the reality mogul is set to make it her full-time gig and bail on her reality show. Thank you Jesus.
Well, well… it seems our Bethenny Frankel has done made herself a talk show star! Rumors have been circulating that Bethenny’s show will be locked in for the Fox 2013 nationally syndicated fall line-up. Which would mean all y’all can tune in to the “R-rated Oprah,” a legend in her own mind.
However a rep for Fox told the Hollywood Reporter that fans shouldn’t jump to conclusions just yet! “A decision has not yet been made,” a Fox TV spokesperson announced on Friday. Execs are waiting until the full six-week test run completes before making a decision on the direction of Bethenny’s show longterm. But things are looking good for Bethenny. Very good.
Bethenny has had the most successful summer test run this year and is the most successful test since Wendy Williams in 2008. And Bethenny’s numbers are even higher than Wendy’s were back in the day.
We all know that Bethenny Frankel is anything but shy and demure, but she’s certainly ramping up her game on her new talk show. Calling herself the “R-rated Oprah,” Bethenny is dishing on topics that would make Christian Grey blush…well maybe that’s a bit of a stretch. But guess what? Bethenny isn’t blushing either. On her web site Bethenny.com, she explains why her racy topics aren’t worthy of embarrassment.
Bethenny says, “I’ll make the occasional…more than the occasional inappropriate joke, but when we are really talking about something, whether it’s sex toys, or bras, or butts, we are being serious because women really want to know about this.”
The talk show host hopes to make her show a forum for what everyday women want to discuss…and as we all know, women like the down and dirty details when it comes to the bedroom.
“The reason the topics don’t make me blush is because we aren’t making a joke out of it,” continues Bethenny. To that I say, bring it on! The raunchier the better, right?

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF BETHENNY’S SHOW? TOO RACY OR JUST RIGHT?
We give Bethenny Frankel a lot of crap for a multitude of things, but we give credit where credit is due = the woman is fearless and she doesn’t take herself too seriously.
Bethenny’snew talk show has been making a few headlines over it’s saucy topics – mostly sex – and she’s making no excuses for it. The former Housewife says she’s like Oprah, only dirtier. She tells In Touch magazine, “I’m the R-rated Oprah!”
Bethennysays she is just like every other woman out there and wants to keep the conversation real. “I’m talking about what my friends are talking about every day. We aren’t talking about politics — we’re talking about dating, marriage and what men think.”
She shares why she’s been focusing on sex as the topic of many of the first episodes of her show, which is finishing it’s third week on the air. “Someone says they don’t have enough of it, and someone else says it’s boring. But the bottom line is, I’m just like many of the married women in America who watch my show. Sometimes we just want to spice it up a little bit.”
Skinnygirl and Bethenny Ever After star Bethenny Frankel once again finds herself involved in a lawsuit over her multi (multi, multi!) million dollar baby. Although she sold her Skinnygirl Cocktail line to Jim Beam for a few bucks, Starcasm.com reports that she was recently deposed in a class action suit regarding the brand. The suit alleges that the drinks are made with rotgut tequila instead of the 100% blue agave tequila that the label boasts. Okay, sure.
