Just days after agreeing to a chum bath, being handcuffed to a houseguest for 24 hours, and shaving his head,Brendon Villegas still found himself eliminated from theBig Brotherhouse following a double eviction.
In a new interview with PEOPLE magazine, the 30 year-old high school swim coach from Riverside, CA, talks his ridiculous showmance with Rachel, what he hopes for their future, and who he thinks is playing the best game in the Big Brother house.
Excerpts from Brendon’s interview below -
Why, of all the houseguests, did you choose Britney to be handcuffed to? Game play or torture?
All game play — I thought I could potentially influence her as to who she puts up as replacement nominee. It was also a bit of torture.
Were you a little excited to be evicted, now that you can spend time alone with Rachel in the Jury House?
Sadly yes, I missed Rachel and I love her very much. Even though I was leaving the house, I was still extremely excited to be getting ready to see her. But I would still love to be playing the game.
Do you think you’ll be able to tell your kids that you met their mother in the BB house? Would you show them the video? Why, or why not?
I will definitely show them the video — just maybe in their teen years. And whenever our daughter is getting mouthy, I can show her the tape and tell her she gets it from her mom.
Who do you think is playing the best game so far? Where you surprise by the way that Britney and Ragan stood up to you? Lane is playing the best game so far. I don’t agree with his style, but he’s managed to stay in for while under the radar. Britney and Ragan — I was a little surprised, but when they did that it made for a bigger explosion and made everyone realize that maybe it’s not a good idea to keep me in the house.
TELL US: WHO WILL BE GETTING YOUR VOTE TO WIN THE $25,000 JURY FAN PRIZE?
Bringing you the week 8 spoilers in the Big Brother house.
Thursday night brought us Ragan’s eviction. Though he was able to figure out the Brigade alliance, it was simply too late for him, as losing the POV competition to Enzo all but sealed his faith.
The live episode ended with the Big Brother house-guests playing a new HOH competition. In this week’s spoilers, find out the new HOH, their nominees, and the POV winner who will determine the HG to go home on Thursday.
Self proclaimed diabolical genius Matt Hoffman found himself the latest house guest to be eliminated from theBig Brotherhouse last Thursday.
Matt, a 32 year-old web designer from Elgin, IL, was simply deemed untrustworthy and too much of a threat by his Brigade alliance members, who plotted his elimination.
In a new interview with PEOPLE magazine, the diabolical genius opens up about throwing his BFF Ragan under the bus and why he regrets it. What Matt doesn’t regret? Lying about his wife’s fake illness. It also seems Matt is still loyal to his Brigade alliance, as he seems completely unaware they plotted to get him out. Excerpts from Matt’s interview below -
Do you regret throwing Ragan under the bus? Do you think it ultimately led to your eviction?
I do regret [it] and that is why I tried to do it in as subtle a manner as possible. It doesn’t make me feel less bad, but I don’t think it had any bearing in my eviction.
You seemed to have it all: a power alliance, two HOHs, a diamond POV and your purported powers that come with being a “diabolical super genius.” Yet you still couldn’t make it to the final four. How do you explain that?
I got over confident and I abandoned my strategy of always competing and I threw a competition that I could have won. That is what sent me packing.
Why do you think the Brigade ultimately turned on you? Were you surprised?
The Brigade turned on me out of necessity. They had to vote out some Brigade member and I was the strongest one out of the four with three weak competitors.
You said that the move that caused you the most guilt was throwing Ragan under the bus. What about the fact that you lied about your wife being seriously ill? What would you say to the people who actually have a serious bone disease?
To the people who truly have this disease I say that I hope you were rooting for me to win because I was going to give you a large chunk of cash from my winning for research on the disease. To me, a lie is a lie. You can lie about your age, weight, whatever. It is still a lie.
On tonight’s episode of BB12, Ragan or Hayden will be getting the axe. More than likely Ragan, as he is not a part of any alliance in the house. Things should get interesting this coming week, depending on who gets HOH. Will the Brigade members still want to keep Lane who seems more devoted to his Britney alliance? Only time will tell.
TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE LATEST BIG BROTHER UPDATES?
Thursday night’s double eviction had HG Matt as the first casualty. The HOH competition was played live with Hayden becoming the new HOH, beating Brendon by a couple of seconds. Hayden nominated Brendon and Ragan, with Brendon being ultimately evicted, thus basically guaranteeing one of the Brigade douchebags will win BB12.
Following the TV episode, a new HOH was crowned during a later competition. In this week’s spoilers, find out the new HOH, their nominees, and the POV winner!
Below is a photo of Enzo and his wife. I did a little digging as I was a tad curious to see which lucky lady calls herself Mrs. Meow Meow. The lucky one who owns that title is Joella Palumbo, who Enzo has described as being loaded and earning over 6 figures on the live feeds.
Thanks to the use of Matt’s diamond power of veto, 40-year-old Kathy Hillisfound herself the latest evictee of Big Brother12.
The deputy sheriff from Texarkana, Ark was perceived by her fellow house guests as being a weak player in the game, and never really struck an alliance with anyone in the house.
In a new interview with PEOPLE, Kathy however states her weakness in competitions was more of a strategy. Kathy also touches on being in the jury house with Rachel, the showmances, and feeling “devastated” when Matt used the diamond POV. Excerpts from Kathy’s interview below -
What was your gameplay in the house? You seemed to be the ultimate floater. Was that what you were going for?
I was not going for being a floater. What people perceived as being a floater is the opposite of what is real. Until you are in the house you can’t make that judgment.
You seemed to fail or quit at a vast majority of the challenges. Was that gameplay or were you actually having trouble?
That was gameplay with the exception of the caramel have/have not challenge. I didn’t want to put a target on my back early in the game because of my job as a deputy sheriff.
Will you pass on Brendon’s message to Rachel? How much are you looking forward to being in the jury house with her?
I will pass on the message to Rachel. I’m looking forward to being in there one-on-one with Rachel so I can explain to her how she should conduct herself in the future as more of a lady. I’m not excited to be spending time with Rachel in the jury house but it will give me some time to talk with her about her behavior and prepare her for future house guests coming in so she will not attack them like she did when she went back in the house. Hopefully she will listen and if not, I’m going to lock myself in the bedroom.
The second Matt stood up and revealed his diamond POV, were you nervous? Did you suspect he would put you up on the block?
I absolutely knew he was going to put me up on the block. I was devastated.
What do you think of the showmances that have popped up in the house? Which ones are the real deal?
I think that Brendon and Rachel’s showmance is ridiculous. I don’t foresee any others left in the house because there is only one girl. I guess two guys could have one.
You talk about playing this game with integrity and truth, yet you seemed to really warm up to Brendon after Rachel left. Then you would run to the have-not room and talk about how much you wanted him gone. Was that just game play?
Yes, that was gameplay. I was just keeping the peace with Brendon. I was just keeping him calm. Yes, I did really want to see him leave.
On to tonight’s episode of Big Brother, which will be a double eviction. Most of the HGs suspect a double eviction, with the exception of Ragan, who seems convinced it isn’t happening tonight.
It seems all but certain that Matt will be first one going home tonight. Brendon and Ragan seem to be the main targets of all the remaining HGs. Britney might also be at risk as she is convinced she’s in an alliance with Lane, Hayden and Enzo.
My thoughts – With Matt’s impending eviction tonight, it’s nice to see things finally shaking up in the BB house. Still very shocked at the success of the Brigade alliance, which continues to be a secret. I have to wonder though if Matt will out the alliance before he leaves tonight. One can only hope, but it seems unlikely as he still appears to be loyal to the Brigade, completely unaware his alliance members and the rest of America hate him. I do wonder if the Brigade members realize Matt is the only one in the alliance who wins competitions.
It’s hard to root for someone in this BB cast but I do find myself rooting for Brendon lately. With Rachel gone, he seems somewhat likable and not that bad of a guy. I truly think BB casted him to be this season’s Jeff, but his fast and ridiculous romance with Rachel brought out the worst in him. Also, the other HGs continually ragging on him is getting a bit old, considering he’s nothing but nice to them. Plus he and Ragan seem to be the only HGs actually playing the game. While I want Matt gone out of the house, mainly for being a slimy and cocky player, I’m still a bit surprised Britney allowed the others to convince her to put Matt up, someone she believed was on her side.
With that being said, tonight’s episode of BB should be a good one! I would like to know who you all are rooting for now -
TELL US: WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE LATEST NEWS AND TONIGHT’S EPISODE OF BIG BROTHER?
First, we saw Kathy, who might or might not be one of the worst players in Big Brother history, get sent home Thursday night after Matt used the Diamond power of veto, thus putting her up for eviction.
Kathy seemed to take things in stride in her post interview with Julie Chen, however expressing regret that she never had the chance to campaign for votes.
Following the eviction, Britney was crowned the new HOH and in this week’s spoilers, we reveal Britney’s nominees, the POV winner, and the plan by the HGs to backdoor a member of the Brigade.
Rachel Reilly, a 26 year-old chemistry graduate student/VIP cocktail waitress from Las Vegas, NV, found herself the latest houseguest to be eliminated from Big Brother 12.
Rachel, the winner of two HOH competitions was ultimately sent home for being both a threat and an annoying HG. Rachel was a target from the start due to her quick developing showmance with Brendon, and success at competitions. In a new interview with PEOPLE, she discusses being eliminated, her future with ‘her man’ Brendon, and what she thinks of the other players.
Excerpts from Rachel’s interview below (Note: this interview was done before Rachel’s return to the house) -
Brendon went on the offensive to keep you in the house. He threw away his chances at half a million dollars for you. If your feelings for him were so strong, why didn’t you try to stop him, or at least make the same offer to him?
I did try to stop him. I did make him the same offer. He and I discussed which one of us we wanted to keep in the game when we knew that one of us was going home. It was a mutual decision. He told me he wanted to do it and NOT to stop him.
You were such a strong player, and Brendon couldn’t seem to pull his weight. Do you think Brendon let you down when it mattered the most?
He didn’t let me down, but I wish he would have won.
With each eviction, your outgoing message was: “Ain’t nobody getting between me and my man!” Do you think the showmance blinded you to a point? Why do you think that people were trying to break you up rather than playing the game?
I don’t think they were trying to break us up. I think they were trying to break up our strong alliance because we were both strong players. I still don’t want anyone getting between me and my man!
You said that you are Vegas, but Brendon was going to give up a chance at half a million for you. Would you have given up Vegas for Brendon?
It would be really hard to move to L.A., but it would also be really hard to not be with Brendon. Mostly, it would be hard to leave Vegas, but I think I could do it.
How strong is the bond that you and Brendon have? He said that you could be the mother of his children, do you agree?
We have a very strong bond. I think that we have a very good future ahead of us. Keep your eyes out.
What was your biggest mistake? How did it affect your game? Knowing what you know now, would you have not gotten involved in a showmance that alienated the rest of the house?
I think that I should have kept Kristen and Hayden. Kristen would have eventually turned on me, but I think that it would have bought me a few more weeks in the house. No — I trusted Brendon more than I trusted the rest of the houseguests. He would have always been loyal to me when the rest of the houseguests were only out for themselves.
You said that you thought everyone could be “playing harder”, who is playing the strongest game so far, and why?
Matt and I were playing the strongest games. We were the only ones that were not scared to win and to play. We weren’t scared to make decisions.
Tonight’s episode of Big Brother should be epic as Matt will likely be using his Diamond power of veto to get himself off the block. Since he won’t be putting up any of his Brigade members, it’s likely Kathy or Britney will be his replacement nominee.
TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON RACHEL’S INTERVIEW? WHO SHOULD MATT PUT UP TONIGHT? WHAT WERE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE REGAN/RACHEL SHOWDOWN?
Good news and bad news for Big Brother fans this past week. The good news isRachel Reilly got sent home and we no longer have to wear ear plugs when listening to her diary room sessions. The bad news? We still need the ear plugs to listed to Hayden.
Despite her man Brendon’s attempt at causing drama to get people to vote him off, Rachel was voted out by a vote of 6 – 0. We are now down to the final 8, and Rachel’s eviction makes her the first juror member of the season.
What’s most surprising this season is that we are in the 6th week and the HGs are still completely unaware of the four-man Brigade alliance. I predicted the Brigade alliance would be one of the dumbest in BB history a few weeks ago (can you blame me? Meow Meow?) but it seems I was way off as they are still a secret, or perhaps this is just the dumbest BB cast in the show’s history as an alliance of 4 men has gone completely undetected in a span of over 6 weeks.
But could the Brigade alliance be finally crumbling? A lot to report in today’s spoilers, find out the new HOH, nominees and POV winner. Plus an evicted HG returns to the house! Can you guess who?
