Dancing With The Stars

Shannen Doherty and Mark BallasDWTS Kate and Tony

Shannen Doherty found herself the first casualty of a shocking Dancing With The Stars results show that had her and fellow actress Pamela Anderson in the bottom two.

Shannen, who had good scores and delivered a strong jive performance Monday night, however took the loss in stride saying she she was not as shocked as her fellow contestants. “I’m not a dancer,” she told PEOPLE. “Mark [Ballas] is surprised, but I’m not.”

“I did what I set out to do,” said Shannen who decided to do the show for her father, after he suffered a stroke in December. “I made my dad proud, that’s all that really matters.” Perhaps Shannen’s time on the show just wasn’t meant to be as it was also reported last night that her partner, Mark’s knee injury, was more serious that originally thought. Mark would have missed 6 weeks of dancing had Shannen remained in the competition.

Saved last night was reality star Kate Gosselin, who many had predicted would be the first to go, considering she had the second lowest scores in the competition.

Kate however spent the entire night very nervous as she was one of the last to be announced safe from elimination. “I don’t think I breathed for 10 minutes, and I don’t think that’s humanely possible,” Kate, 35, told Entertainment Tonight after the show. “I also thought I was going to throw up at the end. My gosh, that is just pure torture, is it not?”

Week 2 of Dancing With The Stars brought us some phenomenal dance moves but the topic on every one’s minds seems to be the drama involved with some of the dancing couples.

The most intense fight came from Kate Gosselin and her partner Tony Dovolani, who even threatened to quit during one of their rehearsals.  It all started when Kate complained that she was “stressed,” Tony then said, “Nothing in dancing is natural to Kate.”

“He feels like I undermine him as a teacher,” Kate, 34, snapped to the camera before telling Jon Tony, “You’re not taking into consideration how I learn!” Kate walked away saying, “I’m done, I’m done today.” Tony then removed his mic pack and said, “I quit!”  causing Kate to break down saying, “I don’t get it!”

Shortly after, Tony came back saying he overreacted, and the two made up. Kate then said, “A lot of people quit on me in my life.”  Tony has also said he regrets telling Kate he quit.

In other DWTS news, the highest score of the night went to Pussycat doll Nicole Scherzinger, who did a very impressive jive dance with partner Derek Hough, earning them the first 10s of the season.  The couple received an outstanding 28 points out of 30.

Coming in second was Olympic ice skater Evan Lysacek, who received a 24 score for his high energy jive with partner Anna Trebunskaya.

In third place was rumored couple Erin Andrews and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Their fluid foxtrot earned them a 23 point score and a compliment from judge Bruno, who said the ESPN reporter has “natural elegance.”

At the bottom this week was once again Kate Gosselin and Buzz Aldrin.  Kate earned a score of 15 as she looked extremely mortified and robotic while attempting to do the jive.  Buzz earned a score of 12 as his foxtrot failed to sizzle.

The scores for the 2 weeks combined is below -

Nicole & Derek: 53
Evan & Anna: 47
Erin & Maks: 44
Pam & Damien: 43
Jake & Chelsie: 40
Niecy & Louis: 39
Shannen & Mark: 38
Aiden & Edyta: 34
Chad & Cheryl: 34
Kate & Tony: 31
Buzz & Ashly: 26

Tonight brings us week 2 of the sizzling new season of Dancing With The Stars. As we reported last week, the premiere episode was the highest rated ever in DWTS history with over 23.9 million viewers.

So what can we expect in week 2? Well we have some news and updates below -

Kate Gosselin Turns 35 – Kate celebrated her 35th birthday on Sunday away from her eight kids, as she was in Los Angeles preparing for the show. When asked what she wished for on her birthday, Kate revealed it was to stay on DWTS and make it through the first elimination. “I hope I’m not one of the first to go,” said Kate to PEOPLE. “I really like it here. You become close to everybody so fast.” Kate might not get her wish as some are predicting she will be the first to go.

Erin Andrews Dating Maksim? - This was the big rumor/story that swept through the web last week. Many noticed the two seem to have some great chemistry on the show, and Maksim, 30, didn’t help put the rumors to rest when he answered “maybe” when asked if he and Erin were dating. Erin, 31, also gushed about Maksim, “I think its funny when you are paired up with a really attractive guy. You turn into a fifteen year-old and don’t know what to do,” Erin said, giggling, “he makes me nervous!” The two have been seen spending lots of time together outside of DWTS. Photos of the two are below.

Nicole and Derek Not DatingNicole Scherzinger ,who currently leads the show with the 25 points she earned last week, was also rumored to be getting hot and heavy with her dancing partner Derek Hough. Nicole however shut down the rumors saying she is dating Race car driver Louis Hamilton. The former Pussycat doll leader is still the favorite to win the show.

What To Expect Tonight – As for what is to come tonight, we can expect a foxtrot dance from Erin and Maksim. The duo will be dancing to Taylor Swift’s “Love Story,” which will not help put the dating rumors to rest. Kate Gosselin also reveals she will be doing the jive dance with partner Tony. Doing the jive as well will be Evan Lysaceck, who says “the jive is difficult, but it’s fun.”

Bachelor Jake and ViennaJake Pavelka and Tanya Douglas

The Bachelor’s Jake Pavelka cheating scandal refuses to go away, as his ex-girlfriend Tanya Douglas has now given an exclusive paid interview to Life&Style magazine.

In the latest issue of Life&Style, Tanya reveals that Jake only did the Bachelor for money and that he professed his love to her after proposing to Vienna Girardi on the show.

Tanya tells Life & Style that Jake only did the show for the money, saying he’s obsessed with being on TV. Tanya also claims Jake was still in love with her when he went on the show and even wanted her to be a contestant! “I don’t think he has any idea what he wants except to be on TV,” says Tanya.

Tanya,25, says she first met Jake in July 2008 and the two quickly became friends. They became romantically involved once Jake left The Bachelorette, and their romance was still going strong when Jake got a call to appear on The Bachelor. At first, Tanya claims Jake didn’t want to be on the show. “He said, ‘Everything I was looking for I’ve found in you,’” she says. However he eventually decided to do it due to financial problems he was experiencing. Jake told Tanya he would receive $500,000 to do the show.

“Maybe I can persuade the producers to let you be on the show and be one of the 25 contestants, and then it’s rigged for me the whole time, and in the end we can still be together and have the money,” is what Tanya claims Jake told her.

The cheating accusation comes to play when Jake began contacting Tanya just days after he proposed to Vienna back in November. And then in December, Jake told Tanya he was still in love with her despite having a fiance. “He said over the phone, ‘Ever since that day I saw you get on that plane in Asheville, I’ve never loved anyone more.’”

“Vienna is being lied to,” Tanya states. “The person Jake is on TV is a different person than when he was with me.”

DWTS Kate Gosselin

Good news for ABC! Their decision to thrown in one or two random controversial reality stars in the mix of their new season of Dancing With The Stars is drastically paying off.

Monday night’s premiere episode was the highest rated episode ever for the DWTS series. The two hour debut averaged over 23.9 million total viewers. This is a drastic increase compared to the 17.5 million viewers that watched last season’s debut.

And for those who missed the premiere episode, ABC has decided to rebroadcast it this Saturday at 8:00/7:00c.

In other DWTS news, Kate Gosselin continues to be the center of negative media attention. First, UsWeekly posted a story stating that the Jon & Kate Plus 8 mom was a total nervous wreck backstage. Kate, who scored the night’s third lowest score looked “so nervous the entire time,” reveals an onlooker.

A dancing expert also reveals to UsWeekly that Kate will likely be the first one voted off. The NYPost is also reporting that Kate continues to be a diva on the set of the show, and that she is always late for hair and makeup.

“The staff has warned her and lectured her about being late, but Kate just gets angry and blows them off,” says the source. “No one wants to deal with her.”

UsWeekly also reports that though The Bachelor’s Vienna Girardi sat in the audience with fiance Jake Pavelka‘s parents, she paid zero attention to them. “They did not speak at all or interact — it was very noticeable to me,” says a witness.

Also sitting with Vienna was former Bachelor contestant Gia Allemand, whom Vienna chatted with all night.

Dancing With The Stars premiered last night on ABC, and while some stars sizzled, others were rather average, or downright bad.

The top score of the night went to Pop star Nicole Scherzinger and her partner Derek Hough , as the duo earned 25 points out of 30 from the judges by doing the waltz. Olympic champion figure skater Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya came in second with 23 points by also doing the waltz.

Nicole and Evan lived up to all expectations as the two were the early favorites going in. Now onto the bad, as reality star Kate Gosselin didn’t do so well. The mom of eight earned a poor 16 points for her waltz with partner Tony Dovolani, giving her one of the lowest scores of the night. “It looked like Tony was pushing a shopping cart across the floor. You have to exude something!” exclaimed judge Bruno Tonioli (ouch!).

Other reality star Jake Pavelka surprised judges with his Viennese waltz, earning an okay score of 20. The lowest score of the night went to 80 year old Buzz Aldrin, who received a 14 for his cha-cha. Buzz is the oldest contestant in the history of DWTS.

All of the stars will return next week for another performance. The first elimination will take place next Tuesday.

The full scores for the premiere night is below:

Nicole & Derek: 25
Evan & Anna: 23
Erin & Maks: 21
Pam & Damian: 21
Jake & Chelsie: 20
Chad & Cheryl: 18
Niecy & Louis: 18
Shannen & Mark: 18
Kate & Tony: 16
Aiden & Edyta: 15
Buzz & Ashly: 14

Kate Gosselin is going to have to work a little bit harder to fight off those pesky diva rumors that continue to plague her.

Insiders from Dancing With The Stars had accused Kate of acting like a diva by refusing to interact with the other dancers and stars on the show. The Jon & Kate Plus 8 mom appeared on The View this week and denied that claim.

Dancer Mark Ballas, who is the partner of Shannen Doherty, is however singing a different tune. “I’m not the type of person to judge…” said Mark to UsWeekly “And I’m not going to be like ‘I don’t like [Kate]…”

“But, I mean, she’s pretty, you know, standoffish, which is kind of weird.” Mark continued, “I don’t really know her, but when I met her she wasn’t kind of like, ‘hello’ or anything. I say ‘hey,’ and she was like ‘oh hey.’ I was like, ‘Okay!’”

Mark added, “She has a great partner, Tony [Dovolani] who is a dear friend of mine, so I’m sure he will whip her into shape. Whatever you can get out of that!”
