Is Paula Abdul coming back to a TV screen near you soon? It seems so as TMZ is reporting Paula has received a nice offer to appear on the next season of Dancing With The Stars.
ABC has offered the former American Idol judge a $1,000,000 development deal, which will require she appear on “DWTS,” reports TMZ.
It is common knowledge that ABC has been going after Paula for years now, trying to get her on DWTS. In addition to this ABC offer, Simon Cowell is also said to be in heavy talks as he wants Paula as a judge on his new show – The X Factor.
The good news for Paula is the proposed ABC deal would allow her to do “The X Factor” with Simon and appear on DWTS. Sources tell TMZ Simon and Paula met a week ago to discuss the show, and it looks like it will happen.
Paula however has to quickly decide as the ABC offer is contingent on her doing “DWTS” this season, which starts in March.
Melissa Rycroftis officially a married woman. The 26-year-old Good Morning America correspondent was dumped on national TV earlier this year by The Bachelor winner – Jason Mesnick. Jason proposed to her on the finale, and then later changed his mind. All that drama is now in the past for Melissa as she exchanged vows Saturday afternoon in Mexico with fellow Texan – Tye Strickland.
“Tye is my best friend in the world, and now he’s my partner forever. We have had such a journey within our relationship, that to finally look at him and see my husband, gives me the calmest, most content feeling in the world,” Rycroft told In Touch Weekly. “I love him so much and am so excited for our forever to begin!”
Melissa got married in a beautiful Alfred Angelo gown. Tony Dovolani, Melissa’s dance partner on Dancing With The Stars and the Bachelorette’sJillian Harris were on the guest list. Both Melissa and Tye dated on and off for a couple of years before finally reuniting earlier this year. We certainly wish them the best.
Dancing With the Stars alum Joanna Krupa seems to have no problems with nudity. The model is gracing the cover of December’s Playboy magazine, and has now posed nude once again for PETA. Joanna led a PETA protest Tuesday afternoon outside Barkworks, a Los Angeles pet store.
At the protest, Krupa also unveiled her racy new ad campaign for PETA. Titled “Be an Angel for Animals,” the campaign features an image of Krupa posing inside a cathedral wearing a pair of angel wings and covered only by a well-placed cross. The campaign supports PETA’s efforts to promote the adoption of homeless animals.
“You know, we’re trying to spread the word that breeding isn’t the way to go,” says Krupa in an exclusive PETA interview. “Somebody needs to put their foot down and stop this breeding and these puppy mills. [T]hey’re in these little tiny cages, and all they’re doing is breeding their whole life. It makes me so angry that our government doesn’t do anything about it. So I am!”

The three finalists performed one more dance during the finale of Dancing with the Stars. At the end of the night, entertainer Donny Osmondand partner Kym Johnson were crowned winners of season nine. “I did it!” Osmond exclaimed, promptly rushing to the audience to find his wife, Debbie, whom he carried across the stage.
Donny beat out the two other finalist celebrities — singer Mya, 30, who had consistently gotten high marks from the judges for her technical skills, and reality show star Kelly Osbourne, 25, who came in third place.
“I’m just so happy to have made it to the finals,” Mya said after the loss. Kelly was also gracious, thanking the audience and saying she had “grown so much” during the show.
During the result show on Tuesday, the show welcomed back all the celebrities from season 9. Whitney Houston also performed yesterday night. At age 51, Donny becomes the oldest winner ever to win the mirrored-ball trophy. He also beat his sister Marie Osmond, who came in third when she competed on the ABC show back in 2007.
The finale of Dancing With The Starswas last night and Mya came out shining, as she was only three points away from perfection.
Mya made it clear she intends to win that trophy. “I haven’t worked this hard for this long not to win this thing,” she said Monday night. “That trophy is mine.”
Coming in a close second to Mya was Donny Osmond who scored with 85 out of 90 points. He and professional partner Kym Johnson earned a perfect score of 30 for their Broadway-inspired freestyle routine, which head judge Len Goodman called “an absolute show-stopper.”
Kelly Osbourne kept smiling despite landing in third place with 76 points, confessing, “I never thought we’d get this far.”
Each star will perform again on Tuesday’s episode, when a new “Dancing” champion will be crowned.
