Charmed fans unite! E! News is reporting that Shannen Doherty and Holly Marie Combs are bringing their real-life friendship back to the small screen in a new reality show with a twist on Off the Map with Shannen & Holly.
Shannen and Holly — who played sister witches for three seasons on Charmed, until Shannen left the show amidst rumors of a feud with Alyssa Milano — are embarking on a cross country road trip and it will all be documented for a brand new Great American Country reality show. But what makes this show different from when Oprah and Gail King did the same thing? Viewers get to pick and choose Shannen and Holly’s activities as they work their way across the South.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy sure likes to keep us guessing. The dancing pro returned to Dancing With the Starsafter taking off a couple of seasons off, only to win the coveted mirror ball trophy, and then hinting that he may not be returning to the ABC mega-hit.
But that was not the only surprise on this season’s finale. Head Judge, Len Goodman also seemed to hint that he would not be returning to the show, to the shock and surprise of his fellow judges and viewers at home.
That is a whole lot of hinting for one hour of reality TV. Not to mention those hints could turn the show upside down!
So now that we are heading towards the new season premiere, will Maks and Len both be back? Or is Maks aiming to take over the judges table?
Last night the Dancing With the Stars mirror ball may have finally gone to Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his partner Meryl Davis, but did the right couple win? Not necessarily! According to TMZ, some outraged fans say that Facebook votes for fan favorite James Maslow and his partner Peta Murgatroyd were counted for Meryl and Maks instead. Which lead to James being voted off the show on Monday night, even though he had much higher scores than Candace Cameron Bure.
Had James stayed would it really have changed the outcome of the winner? Probably not. Let us not forget that Meryl Davis is a professional ice dancer — she was amazing from the beginning. But if the votes were incorrectly counted it may have allowed James to take third place over Candace, still not sure it would have even gotten him into second place.
But a rep for ABC told TMZ "despite the automated Facebook response … the votes were all counted correctly. The rep blew off the apparent error as a 'caching anomaly' that only affected a small amount of users."
And that wasn't all the drama from the ballroom during finale week.
Abby Lee Miller, the star of Lifetime's Dance Moms, has become famous for her aggressive — I say mean, controlling and detrimental to children — style of teaching dance. And Maks has always been the bad boy of DWTS. So when she has some harsh words for front-runners Maks and Meryl Davis, Maks immediately shot back, telling Erin Andrews, ""I really don't care for anything she has to say."
Was anyone surprised that was his response? Really?
But, we still got to see NeNe and Tony's Argentine Tango, as well as their team dance. Team Vida consisted of Charlie & Sharna, James & Peta, and NeNe & Tony. Tony asked NeNe how she felt about making it to week seven, and she said, "I feel like everybody left is Olympians and people with dance experience, and we're just like the little odd balls." We?!? NeNe is odd. The only "odd" thing about Tony is that he likes NeNe.
NeNe's Argentine Tango was horrible. Her costume was worse. It looked like she wore a plastic brown trash bag – and it made her hips and butt look huge. Team Vida hid NeNe in the audience during the group dance. Enough said.
We are halfway through Season 18 of Dancing with the Stars – and NeNe Leakes is still in the competition. Last week, the Incredible Hulk NeNe busted out of all that spandex and sequins and treatedTony Dovolanilike, well, how she treats other humans – beneath her. NeNe is safe, though, so woohoo for rewarding bad behavior. Or something.
Tony and NeNe take on Salsa this week. NeNe, looking more linebacker than normal, starts in the audience and shimmies up on Gregg on her way to the dance floor. I don’t care for the choreography – it’s more club than salsa – and NeNe’s lemons need wayyyy more support. The highlight? Tony loses his shirt midway through the dance.
"Oooh, hunni here we go! This week we're doing a salsa. It's Party Anthem, so we're doing Nelly's "It's Getting Hot in Here," and you better believe it, we love Nelly," shared NeNe. "Oh and we are shaking it, hunni! I'm sweating, I'm telling you. I've almost got an afro, my hair has curled completely up!"
