She really is the girl next door! The Real Housewives of Dallas has found a keeper in Stephanie Hollman, who is bringing a little bit of “real” to Reality TV, yet managing to entertain us along the way. All without screaming in another woman’s face, demanding apologies from people for 16 straight weeks, or forcing her “journey” down our throats. How does she do it? According to Stephanie, who I got a chance to chat with this week, it’s about being who you are – cameras or no cameras. Below, Stephanie breaks down her reality, whether it’s true friendship with Brandi Redmond, firm boundaries with LeeAnne Locken, or how her spiritual upbringing keeps her sane today.
How has life changed since your debut on RHOD? “I will say it’s been very hard. Even before the first episode came out, people were harsh. But now I’ve been getting 95% positive feedback from Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. I stay off of other websites because I feel like people will take time to be negative rather than positive.”
Baby on board! Courtney Stodden is pregnant with her first child! Courtney and her husband Doug Hutchison revealed the baby news to their close friends and family this week!
Just a week shy of their fifth wedding anniversary, Courtney sent out a video (which we were given exclusive access to via our source) to those close to her, sharing the moment she finds out she’s expecting. In the video dated May 11th, Doug is taping her in the bathroom as she waits for the pregnancy test results. Once she sees the double lines indicating “pregnant,” she sits down and looks happy and scared. Doug asks her how she’s feeling and she says “a little overwhelmed.”
Ashley Darby is the youngest cast member of Bravo’s newest Real Housewives franchise: The Real Housewives of Potomac. Despite her pint-sized frame and youthful glow, she’s not afraid to take on the tough posse of etiquette-obsessed Potomac ladies she’s been cast alongside. I got a chance to chat with Ashley this week about everything from how it feels to debut on reality TV to why she’s a self proclaimed “adrenaline junkie!”
How are you feeling about the first episodes of RHOP? “Very excited. It’s surreal to see yourself on TV. It’s just about getting to know people, spending a lot of time together. There are always going to be some bumps in the road. Having spent as much time with them [the cast] as I did, I really feel like I know them well now. I actually consider them my friends – even though it did take some time. We are forming a foundation.”
Briana Rene’e has been at the center of her share of drama on this season’s Little Women: LA. I got a chance to sit down with Briana to hear her side of the story on a year filled with changes: including a new marriage, music career aspirations, and shifting alliances with old friends. Here’s what she had to say about that, and much more!
Did you ever think you’d wind up on a reality TV show? “You know, I didn’t. When you watch stuff you always wonder what it would be like, but until I was offered the opportunity, I never considered it seriously.”
“To say the least, it’s definitely been a wild ride! The fact that I am myself completely – what you see on screen is who I am off screen – I make myself basically wide open to the public and vulnerable to positive and negative reactions. It really is wild. It’s an experience that you can only really understand if you’re in it. It’s been a wonderful opportunity and an amazing platform for educating the public though.”
What is your relationship status with each of your cast mates right now? “At this point, we’re giving each other space, but are seeing each other when the opportunity arises. At the end of the day, you realize you were friends, you are friends, so you take it day by day. I mean, it was rough. But you don’t just end a friendship because you have one big argument.”
Are you guys ready for tonight’s episode of “Selling It: In the ATL?”The new hit show on WEtv kicked off last week and for tonight’s second episode we have two exclusive clips for you!
If you’re not familiar with this latest Atlanta-based reality show, it follows a diverse group of real estate agents in Atlanta, their well-to-do clients, and of course it wouldn’t be the ATL without some drama! It’s co-executive produced by RHOA star Sheree Whitfield.
As season 4 of Vanderpump Rules takes off, viewers may be wondering what fresh drama lies in store. This week I got a chance to chat with my favorite Tom, Tom Sandoval, of VPR to get a glimpse of what’s to come. Tom talked about the upcoming release of his band’s new single, T.I.P., his enduring love for costar and real-life girlfriend, Ariana Madix, and his continued frustrations with obsessed ex Kristen Doute and thirsty castmate Stassi Schroeder. Tom also shared his gratitude for the success that’s come his way due to the show, and his dreams for the future.
I just got done watching the sneak peek of your video, T.I.P. (Touch In Public). Love it! What’s happening with it – and with your band, Charles McMansion? “It’s me and Isaac Kappy – we’re like a duo. It’s a modern day Blues Brothers vibe. That song in particular is like Rick James, kinda old school Michael Jackson, a little daft punk, Pharrell. But our overall bucket would be like, that, sort of meets Foster the People and a funk-indie-pop sort of thing.”
Brittney “Freakabritt” Guzman made her mark on this season’s Little Women: LA as one of the newest – and youngest – cast members. And she didn’t hold back when it came to confronting castmate Terra Jole. I got a chance to chat with Brittney yesterday about her reaction to the season, where she and Terra stand now, and what she’s been up to lately (spoiler alert: she met Kylie Jenner on Tyga’s video shoot recently and claims she was a total zero!).
So, do people call you Brittney? Or Freakabritt? “They call me Freakabritt now or Freaka. That’s now my name!”
What did you think of your first experience on reality TV? “It’s been great. Things don’t always seem like they appear. It’s been fun, there’s a lot of drama. At the same time, people will do whatever they can to be the center of attention. And I’m not into that route, unlike some other people.”
How did you fit in on the cast? “Everybody on this show is married and having kids, and I was like 22. I wanted to focus on my career and they wanted me to be in a relationship. But I was the youngest one there, and I wasn’t trying to be tied down!”
Heather Bilyeu never dreamed that when she agreed to film for Million Dollar Listing: LA as Madison’s assistant so so much of her life would change. Yesterday Reality Tea had the opportunity to speak with Heather about how she found herself on Bravo, what the show has meant for her career and as well as her personal life, and her craziest experiences in real estate. Heather also opened up about her relationship with fiancé Josh Altman, and her passion for rescue dogs.
Heather had absolutely no intention of being on TV and was even shy about listing to her own voicemail messages! “I definitely didn’t want to do it at first, but I’m so happy I did,” she reflects. “I have no regrets.”
“When I first started working for Madison he was on the show, but he wasn’t aware that he was getting picked up for another season. When I interviewed with him he said, ‘Don’t worry – you won’t need to be on the show.'” Heather says producers really enjoyed the “synergy” she and Madison had and encouraged her to film with him. “I was very reluctant,” she admits. “I had to push myself.”
“It’s really been amazing for me,” Heather shares. “I’ve discovered so much about myself and it’s been great for my business and I found my soon-to-be-husband.”
