Melissa Gorga and two of the newbie housewives, Teresa Aprea and Nicole Napolitano, did a few press events together yesterday. The ladies stopped by Extra’s NYC studios at H&M in Times Square to do an interview and chat about the new season.
I think it’s just now hitting me that our only ‘originals’ this year will be Melissa (not technically an original), Teresa Giudice and returning former casts member Dina Manzo. I know not everyone loved Caroline Manzo or Jacqueline Laurita, but it’s going to be a totally different dynamic without them! And it sounds like we won’t be seeing as much of Kathy and Rich Wakile this time around, either.
I’m curious to see what the new cast members bring this season, but if it doesn’t work out, I’m voting for the return of the original cast – Danielle Staub and all! Are you with me?
Last week Kai shared his side, including extensive photos and statements about the condition of the home, which he was in the process of purchasing from the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars. He also explained the issues with the bounced payments. Since then, Patterson went ahead and ordered a full inspection of the home and shared the results with us. We’re attaching the pdf below if you’d like to take a look at all 38 pages! The inspection is a thorough list of things in need of attention and repair and further investigation.
Despite a long list of issues, Kai still wants to buy the mansion. He chatted up Radar Online about trying to work things out with the Gorgas and moving forward with the purchase!
Lucky gal Teresa gets more time to spend with her doting husband Joe, but also more time to fret and worry over the possibility of winding up in prison! And that makes Teresa sad, because she doesn’t think they let you bring your shiny, sequined bikini collection to the slammer… She’s watched OITNB – she knows!
As the Real Housewives of New Jersey star faces the very real possibility that she could be headed for prison, Teresa admits she’s petrified and not coping well. “No one can ever prepare themselves to go to prison,” she acknowledges. “More importantly, how could I ever prepare myself to be away from my kids? It’s too terrifying for me to even think about.”
Kathy Wakile is experiencing one of the serious side effects of reality TV – everyone feels they have license to comment on your life!
I have to feel some sympathy for the ladies of Real Housewives of New Jersey because they seem to get the negative comments more than any other Housewives bunch. Apparently Kathy has had enough and announced on Facebook she is taking a break.
This is one reality TV couple that isn't breaking up anytime soon – despite some pesky infidelity rumors.
Caroline Manzo just celebrated her 30th anniversary with husband Al Manzo. Caroline posted a montage of their years together on Facebook, which included a fabulously 80's flashback wedding photo. Caroline was gorgeous!
"Happy 30th Anniversary Al, If U live 2 B 100, I want 2 B 100 minus 1 day so I never have 2 live without U," Carolinewrote.
Melissa Gorga is not just going to be hanging out at home when the new season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey premieres on Sunday, July 13th. Melissa, along with a few of the other housewives is turning their premiere party into a charity event.
Melissa posted the flyer up on Twitter, which features pictures of herself, returning star Dina Manzo, Teresa Giudice and newcomer Amber Marchese, so I am assuming that they will be in attendance.
Do you have any pinot and popcorn left over from yesterday's long and crazy tale of the sale/notsale of Joe and Melissa Gorga's mansion in Montville? If not, go get a fresh batch of both because the story isn't over! Kai Patterson is sharing many more details and further explanations today in a statement he prepared. Lies, money issues, shady business dealings and back-outs, and much more..just another day in the RHONJ hood!
I'm going to warn you in advance that this is hella long. I was going to find a way to trim it down and summarize, but really..it's just too detailed and fascinating to cut up. In a nutshell, there's a possibility that Joe wasn't totally up front with Melissa about his side deals, repair promises and other agreements with Kai. They did ask Kai to participate in an episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey where he would say he purchased the house. Also, Patterson didn't get the keys to the house until February of this year. Melissa shut off all the utilities when they moved out in September and -big shock- the pipes allegedly froze and burst over the winter.
Settle in because here is his statement and explanation almost in its entirety!
As with everything involving The Real Housewives of New Jersey, things are not ever as they seem. And in the case of Melissa Gorga's $3.8 million Montville mansion, the cracks are showing – literally! Kai Patterson's spokesperson reached out to shoot down the claims made in the press yesterday byJoe and Melissa regarding the sale of their home and their attempt to evict him from the mansion for non-payment. It would appear there's another side to the story (shocker!) and it's a doozy!
Mr. Patterson's rep shared an extensive response which includes a laundry list of repairs not completed on the home – with photo evidence and more. Get your popcorn and Pinot. There are BEAVERS running amok in the Gorga mansion, y'all!
"In response to your article related to the Gorga's home, Mr. Patterson's rental agreement was modified on November 21, 2013, which changed the price of the rent to $10,000 per month (See Attachment: Modification of Lease and Purchase Terms Executed by All Parties on 11-21-2014.pdf – Paragraph 3b). A subsequent agreement changed the start date of the agreement executed on November 21, 2013 to February 26, 2014 and possession was taken the property on February 28, 2014. The February 26, 2014 agreement pushed back the increase in rent until after October 2014, which the Gorgas failed to provide to the Court (See Attachment: Paragraph 1 of Modified Rider as of 02-26-2014). In addition to paying $10,000 rent, an additional $10,000 per month was to be paid towards the purchase of the property, and those payments were to be used make several needed repairs before and after taking possession of the property. Although the Gorgas were initially paid $10,000 rent, and a deposit of $25,000, which was to be applied to the purchase price of the home and used to make the repairs, none of the repairs were made on the list of repairs provided below (See: Needed Repairs List and Pictures Below)."
