Even though The Real Housewives Of New Jersey is on a break this week, we can still live vicariously through their delusions and misadventures in real time! At a recent Long Island book signing for her latest memoir, Standing Strong, Teresa Giudice shared why her ghost writer’s writing has gotten a little more raw lately, how her family is doing, and what advice she has for other women out there who are going through “hard times.”
Teresa also has big plans for the future: a career as a novelist. Yup. It’s happening. The center cannot hold. Things fall apart. Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world…(Is this the first sign of apocalypse? Or was that when Tamra Judge found Jesus?) In any case, Teresa has plans of not doing certain things in the future as well – like signing anything Joe Giudice asks her to – ever.
There is no doubt that Margaret Josephsis a major factor on Real Housewives of New Jersey and it’s only her first season. She’s been feuding with Siggy Flicker since episode 1, her mother Marge Sr. is hysterical, and she even has a signature hairstyle. Meanwhile, some other cast members aren’t doing much aside from plugging their own businesses.
Love her or hate her, Margaret is definitely keeping things interesting on RHONJ. She is not at all shy when it comes to sharing her opinion.
There’s no doubt that Real Housewives of New Jersey has centered around Teresa Giudice and her family for most of its run. While the Giudices bring the most compelling moments to Season 8, this season’s arguing is focused on Siggy Flicker. Almost every conversation leads back to Siggy and she hasn’t been showed in the most favorable light.
Siggy opened up about what wasn’t shown that led to her explosive reactions, Jacqueline Laurita leaving the show, and what makes Teresa such a great Housewife.
Unfortunately, reality TV shows do not bless us viewers with new episodes every single week. Thank god for social media to fill in the gaps between seasons or just to give the fans a glimpse of what was happening behind the scenes to provide us with some additional content. This week’s Instagram Roundup of reality star photos does not disappoint.
First, Danielle praises Teresa Giudice’s connection with her family, especially with her dad in the wake of his mourning. “It’s sweet seeing the connection you and your dad have. You are so good with him, Teresa. Honestly, it’s heartbreaking to hear his pain. Although you are heartbroken as well, you remain so empathetic to your dad while going through your own emotions. I personally think you’re doing an amazing job!”
In comparison to seasons past, this season of Real Housewives of New Jerseyhas been a breeze for Melissa Gorga. She has just enough drama to get screen time, but she’s really not in the thick of it. Plus she gets to promote her store Envy at every possible second. She really is in the best spot out of all the Jersey ladies at this point.
This is a stark contrast from the woman who joined the show in the middle of a feud with Teresa Giudice after Danielle Staub infamously brought up the family drama during the Season 2 reunion. Apparently Danielle and Melissa were talking about their (former) shared enemy years ago, but apparently they only met this season.
I still can’t help thinking this season’s cast has stepped it up a notch. Maybe it’s been Siggy losing her effing mind (which, though bizarre and troubling, has been strangely entertaining!), or perhaps it’s the reintroduction of wild card Danielle Staub, who Dolores Catania sees as a snake in the grass. In any case, we’re lucky that cameras finally stepped back from the heaviness of Teresa Giuidice’s family drama this week, instead entrapping gathering the women together for a forced getaway – always a solid gold Housewives move. Even though the trip is to Siggy’s retreat, at least Margaret Josephs is there to provide comic relief! Plus, Melissa Gorga brought three Hail Mary’s in her pocket just in case Satan caused confusion.
Right off the bat she was talking about “pot puss,” getting with her husband Joe Benignowhile she was married to someone else, and she opens up more and more with each episode. So of course she has a lot of colorful things to say in response to each episode.
