Lisa insisted she had no malicious intent when she ran a background check on her co-stars and she blamed Quad and her need for drama for this storyline.
“It doesn’t feel very good because prior to the season starting there were many times when I sat down with Quad, offered her an apology, and tried to find a way that we could work through this as mature women. She wanted no parts of that. She absolutely wanted this to be a storyline,” said Lisa. “Quad thought that she could push me around. She was a bully in that regard. She thought the weakness was meekness. The one thing I said when I came onto this cast is, ‘I’m intelligent, I’m articulate, and I’m rich. And no one pushes me around.’ And I meant every bit of it.”
This week on Married to Medicine, we saw the aftermath of Lisa Nicole Cloud and Quad Webb-Lunceford‘s scuffle. Pretty much, they both managed to embarrass themselves for the second week in a row: Quad, with a bandage the size of Rhode Island on her face, and Lisa, with her pathetic outburst at the strip club. In her blog, Quad ripped Lisa apart for her behavior.
“This episode was loaded with truths,” blogged Quad. “As I said in my previous blog, mature adults, hear both sides, apply logic, and then draw a conclusion. Hats off to Jackie and Simone for not wanting to divide the group, but that was already done by Toya. As you saw, Tacky and Heav joined She Who Shall Not Be Named indulging and instigating gossip as she lied and bragged about what happened during last week’s altercation. They were delighted by the news they were hearing like three blind mice or should I say three hating mice hopping on gossip like it was a small piece of cheese. #MessyBootsDown”
According to Quad, she had good intentions when she invited Lisa to lunch.
“It was important I invite She Who Shall Not Be Named to lunch,” shared Quad. “My hopes were for us as women, to sit down, discuss our issues, and move forward. Seeing [last week’s] episode while we were speaking over the phone tells me she wanted the feud; notice her attitude and body language – with the eye rolling – was one of disdain.”
On the show, Lisa said she checked Quad‘s background when she considered investing in Picture Perfect Pup. But – shocker – her story has changed.
“Reality TV is a business, and as I’ve always said, it was never personal, it was a business decision. I did a background check on three of the cast mates because I did not know them from a can of paint and I wanted to see who I was on a show with,” admitted Lisa. “I have never revealed anything that I learned either. It was just for my own personal knowledge. The other cast mates did not care. We know it’s part of being on TV that your life is an open book.”
“What a crazy week on Married to Medicine, starting with the craziest of them all, Ms Drama Queen, villainess of Married to Medicine,” she blogged. “Quad is married to a psychiatrist! What would his diagnosis be for her?” Lisa said she would diagnose Quad as “delusional with some grandiose ideology and a touch of selective amnesia.”
This week on Married to Medicine, Quad Webb-Lunceford decided to give Lisa Nicole Cloud a taste of her own medicine, ordering a background check on her. Quad went the “extra” route and requested a check on Lisa‘s husband and Lisa’s mother’s elbows too. You name it, Quad ordered it.
Quad took to her blog to explain her decision, “It really pains me that I have to conduct a background investigation on someone that I once considered a friend. My intentions were not to hurt or harm ‘She Who Shall Not Be Named’ or her family; however, I did want to set an example as to how NOT to treat a friend. Her behavior and actions were highly disappointing, inappropriate, and unjustifiable. Again, ‘She Who Not Be Named’ and I have never discussed doing business together. I don’t work for her, she doesn’t work for me. She’s not an investor, a stockholder, or a business partner in Picture Perfect Pup – and she never will be.”
Lisa Nicole defended her decision to run a background check on Quad during Married to Medicine, tweeting, “Background checks are a standard business protocol in business. No malice intended.”
On WWHL, Quad replied, “I think that’s a good cover for She Who Shall Not Be Named. We all saw my investors last season and she was not one of them. We were not doing business together whatsoever. She actually wanted a little something to go into the reunion with last year, but you will catch that tea later.”
On the season premiere, Simone and Toya picked up right where they left off (see the clip below), screaming and threatening.
Simone admitted in her blog that she’s still not over the reunion confrontation with Toya, adding, “I love a good debate and talking trash, but I don’t believe in physical violence against anyone. And when you top it off by lying about your intent to do bodily harm, I get even more angry and resentful. Forgiveness has never been my strong suit. I am truly sorry you have to see me snapping off on Toya. Unfortunately she has what it takes to push my wrong buttons! Sometimes, I imagine myself as Cookie, but then I quickly realize that I am not.”
