First up Tuh-resssssssa and her husband Rino Aprea have been stung with a class action lawsuit by two former employees who allege the restaurant owners refused to pay employees for full shifts! Oh – and they had to pay to launder their own uniforms.
Teresa and Rino own Angelo’s of Mulberry St in NYC and a former bartender and a waiter have taken the RHONJ stars to court over a laundry bill and on an accusation that they intentionally “short changed” employees checks by paying them for 7 hour shifts when they routinely worked 10 hours. The suit, filed in US district court. cites that the Apreas “regularly scheduled or knowingly permitted” employees to work more than 40 hours but then refused to pay time-and-a-half for hours.
It was a kitchen battle royale for some reality stars last night on the Food Network. Chopped featured four of reality’s finest competing for $10,000 for their favorite charity in a challenge that featured vegetable cream cheese, biscuit dough, and cherry pie filling…hopefully not all in the same dish!
One thing is for sure, though; Andy Cohen cannot imagine a world which does not include RHONJ. I bet neither can the sequin and spray tan manufacturers.
“I can’t imagine not filming the Real Housewives of New Jersey,” said Andy. “It’s a big franchise for Bravo. I think whatever we do, we’re going to do it the right way, so we’re still figuring that out right now.”
In December, Amber insisted waiting for Teresa to film season seven would be “silly,” adding, “I think they have an excellent cast, as is, and we can carry on.” Later, Jim argued that Teresa wasn’t the star of the show. He even pointed out that the most talked about episodes from season six – the trip to Florida – had nothing to do with Teresa.
So, it’s been ten months, and the house still isn’t done. Friend and neighbor of the New Jersey housewives, Tom Murro, shared a picture of the outside with Reality Tea, which you can see below. To put it bluntly… it is MASSIVE. I will never understand why Rich and Kathy chose to build such a ridiculously large house on the brink of an empty nest. To each their own, I guess.
Much to my dismay (total HGTV junkie here!) Kathy hasn’t shared many pics of the building process, but she is deep in the throes of closet planning right now – dark, light, his and hers, one level, two level. #RichPeopleProblems See the pics below!
Last night Chris Manzo went for round two on the Millionaire Matchmaker. While some things have changed, like he’s no longer on Real Housewives Of New Jersey… OK, that’s the only thing that has changed (including that Patti Stanger still wears rompers and short-suits every freaking day!) because Chris is still a mama’s boy who needs mama’s approval before buying a pants that don’t belong on a 50-year-old.
True to form Caroline Manzo accompanies Chris to check in with Patti and go over what he’s looking for in a woman. He found her – her name is Caroline. Patti eventually sends Caroline out of the room because there is a difference between smothering and mothering, but the sad part is Chris is looking for someone, not only that his entire family also wants to date, but whom reminds him of Caroline, because he idolizes his parents’ marriage. Mmmmkay, moving on.
Patti describes Chris as desperately clinging onto the mama’s boyness and is afraid to move-on (or out!). She worries that he comes across as boring and needs to be micromanaged. Caroline worries that with Lauren getting married (and hating every girl Chris and Albie look at) and Albie finally in a relationship, Chris will end up living at home forever. Not that it’s a problem … I mean who makes better meatballs than mama?!
Now home, Melissa took to Twitter to respond to the criticism. Well some of it. She chose to ignore the comments about Teresa. As she should in my opinion. As for the questions about $ and RHONJ, Melissa laughed them off.
Jacqueline shared the photo of the article on her Instagram account. The magazine was giving big props to blk and even shared that it’s a favorite drink among the Victoria’s Secret models. Who knew? I’m sure the Lauritas and the Manzos are pretty happy campers this morning. Can’t beat that kind of press and endorsement!
