In her newest Bravo blog, Danielle starts off with, “Let me begin by saying that this is a pretty accurate portrayal of what it’s really like to be around Jersey girls. We are all very strong-minded women with equally strong personalities and opinions. Not one of us is a wallflower. We all speak our minds, even though at times the person we may be speaking to can be a little intimidating…”
Real Housewives of New Jersey
Nobody puts Siggy Flicker in a corner, according to Siggy Flicker. The Real Housewives Of New Jersey star takes particular offense to Margaret Josephs trying to shut her down, especially because it was Siggy who “brought her in.” Jeesh – we’re only weeks into RHONJ, and alliances are already crumbling under the ladies’ feet like rickety boardwalk planks! Siggy breaks down her feelings on most of the group – except Dolores Catania – turning on her in Boca, and why she cannot be silenced.
Siggy complains, “Less than 48 hours after introducing Margaret to our group, I am being told how I should feel and what I can’t say. Margaret can’t pass up an opportunity to add fuel to the fire and cause division among my friends.” This “fire” was started by Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice getting into a food fight, which resulted in Siggy’s $1,000 custom-ordered cake being tossed on to the sidewalk.
If at first you don’t succeed; try, try again, right? Such is the case with Melissa Gorga trying to sell her Montville, NJ mansion! Melissa and Joe Gorga have once again listed their 9,000 square-foot behemoth, this time with an asking price of $3.5 million in hopes of finally unloading it.
The Gorgas supposedly purchased the home in 2007 for $950,000 – even though Joe was actually the builder (essentially they purchased the home from his company?). Rumors even swirled that Joe, a luxury home developer, initially built the house with a construction loan only sell, but they moved in when Melissa joined Real Housewives Of New Jersey to provide the illusion of being uber wealthy.
Despite her issues with Siggy Flicker lately, Teresa Giudice claims she still has nothing but love, love, love! for the self-proclaimed “most talented person in the world.” The Real Housewives Of New York star also regrets that Siggy and Dolores Catania didn’t take part in the flower ceremony Margaret Josephs arranged for the ladies to pay tribute to lost love ones. Whether they were excluded on purpose or not remains murky, however.
Teresa doesn’t think Siggy’s dramatics over the cake throwing incident were warranted, but she really got her drawers in a twist over Siggy calling Melissa Gorga and her “animals.” She explains, “This episode started out with the aftermath of ‘Cake-Gate.’ I really wasn’t happy watching as Siggy called Melissa and I ‘animals.’ Just like Siggy thought us throwing the cake was in poor taste, I thought what she said about us was also in poor taste.”
As Kathy Wakile once said, Real Housewives of New Jersey really is “the Teresa show.” RHONJ historians recall that Teresa Giudice’s cousin declared that during a reunion episode argument and she didn’t mean it in a flattering way, but the quote still stands. Teresa Giudice is Real Housewives of New Jersey. Real Housewives of New Jersey is Teresa Giudice.
They even delayed filming seven months to wait for Teresa to come home from prison. Hell, they had a three-part episode where Teresa talked to her family via speaker phone. That’s right: SPEAKER PHONE. Teresa was able to carry this show via phone call, so of course anyone with eyes and ears knows that she is THE queen of the show. Like her or not, she has been and will always be the center piece of this show. With that said, everyone on the show does what they can to be in her good graces, so it’s interesting to know what Teresa thinks of all of her
potential soldiers costars.
After last week’s premiere, I felt like the ladies of The Real Housewives Of New Jersey were finally bringing their A-game to Bravo. Like, maybe a producer sat them down and had a Friday Night Lights pep talk with them before cameras started rolling? Because the ingredient-zes in this year’s Sunday gravy seem just right! Maybe it’s the addition of powerhouse-in-pigtails Margaret Josephs, or maybe it’s the shock of seeing Danielle Staub’s face back on our TV screens without waiting for someone to spontaneously punch it? I don’t know. But I’m here for it!
Last night, cake-gate escalated into a mid-dinner walk out after Siggy Flicker called Melissa Gorga and (by proxy) Teresa Giudice trash. Danielle had a sudden bout of PTSD when she heard the T-word, railing against Siggy with all of the season-one angst she could muster. Dolores Catania continued to look like she’d rather be elsewhere, which kind of makes me question what she’s bringing to the table this year – other than an empty house and a
fake storyline of he ex-hubby moving back in? And Teresa went to the beach with Margaret, Melissa, and Danielle to honor her late mother, Antonia, with a heart wrenching (but very sweet) flower ceremony.
When Siggy Flicker told us last year that some people think she’s “too much,” she was minimizing reality! Because The Real Housewives Of New Jersey star came out swinging, shouting, and fighting right away in the premiere episode of Season 8. Siggy has no regrets about her behavior, though, instead concentrating on how others in the group are upsetting the apple cart – namely Danielle Staub and Margaret Josephs, who Siggy seems already pitted against.
In her blog, Siggy describes Margaret as two-faced and Danielle as a “dark” presence within the group. She also reiterates her disgust with Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice throwing the custom cake she ordered for Melissa’s birthday, which turns into an even bigger drama this week!
It’s a new day in the Garden State, and that means everyone is suddenly singing the praises of ex-villain, Danielle Staub, including Real Housewives Of New Jersey’s very own Melissa Gorga. The season eight premiere set viewers up for some interesting dynamics to come, including Siggy Flicker being batsh*t cray-cray, the introduction of pigtail-bedecked Margaret Josephs (who actually seems kind of bada$$ and potentially awesome), and the return of Danielle. Melissa, for one, couldn’t be more delighted
that she’s no longer the villain with this new setup!
But the first episode also replayed the sad loss of Joe Gorga and Teresa Giudice’s beloved mother, Antonia, who passed away earlier this year. Melissa admits it was painful to watch it all back again. “Watching the memories of my mother-in-law and hearing her voice brought instant tears to my eyes. She was a wonderful woman, and her life was taken way too young. I never thought I would see the day that Joe broke down and couldn’t work or get out of bed. He was devastated and heartbroken for weeks and still is.”
