This month NeNe nabbed the cover of Pose Magazine, while Cynthia nabbed the cover of Kontrol’s “Fabulous At Every Age,” edition.
“Thank you Pose for choosing me to Grace your cover! Pick up your copy of Pose Magazine and read my amazing interview speaking on motherhood, being a wifey, friendship, my clothing line, my production company, my Glam’baby, RHOA and my future!” NeNe wrote on instagram.
NeNe claims they never even knew each other to begin with and pretended to be friends for the show. But at the crux of their friendship split was Kenya Moore, whom NeNe feels Cynthia betrayed her with. Of course, NeNe claimed she has no intention of ever speaking to Cynthia again. But Cynthia isn’t ready to let go of the friendship just yet!
Claudia Jordan was spotted filming with Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey at the opening of Sports One in Charlotte, NC last week. “Bravo crew came out, Kenya, new girl Claudia, my wife, Kordell [Stewart]. We shot at the bar last night until 2 in the morning,” Peterrevealed. “The two new girls are extremely beautiful, so there was a lot of chemistry in the house.”
The other potential newbie is Demetria McKinney, a singer and philanthropist and serious fashion-lover of the Marlo-vein (meaning over-the-top glam and big labels). Claudia, a former Miss Rhode Island, also competed in the Miss USA pageant and presently is a DJ for DishNetwork’s Rickey Smiley Show, where coincidentally Porsha Stewart also works.
Update: We’re standing still around $861 right now! It’s a far cry from $40,000, but when you consider that my hope was to raise at least $5, we’re doing great!! :) We appreciate that you guys are still sharing it on Twitter and Facebook! Every little bit will help the foundation!
Fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta may remember during this season’s reunion show (part 3), there was a $20,000 charity challenge issued. One star promised to donate $20,000 to the charity of the other star’s choice, so long as the other star sent her check first. The charity chosen on the reunion show was the Detroit Public Schools Foundation. It sounded like a grand gesture that would put their previous fundraiser event ‘misunderstanding’ to rest once and for all.
Fast forward to months later when the reunion aired and, after media outlets inquired with DPSF, the organization confirmed that neither star had yet sent their promised $20,000 check to the worthy cause. The stars tried to get out on a technicality, claiming they’d send their donation check only when the other mailed hers (and one even claimed to not remember it all). As a fan of the show and of genuine charitable giving, this didn’t sit well and it has bothered us ever since. We reached out to DPSF this week and they confirmed the status of the checks as still “not received.” So, we want to do something about it.
After months of guest hosting, Porsha was just named a permanent co-host on the entertainment magazine television program, Dish Nation. On the morning show, Porsha is tasked with reporting on breaking celebrity news and gossip. Something Porsha is quite familiar with.
Last season things were rough for NeNe, who battled with Kenya Moore and lost her friendship to Cynthia Bailey. Still NeNe reveals that despite the negativity she’s returning to the show to use it for the amazing opportunities it presents. And she’s also giving an inside scoop on the inner workings of the show, the cast relationships, and whether or not Phaedra Parks will be back!
“Every single season, somehow people think I’m not coming back. Somehow, I’m the only one who people ask, ‘Is she coming back or not?’ But I think that people don’t understand it’s not really our choice like that,” NeNe explains. “When I signed on for season 1, I signed on for a number of seasons. We’re like actors, we sign for a number of seasons and they’re either going to pick you up at the end of the season or drop you, unless you finish out your contract. So I have obligations. It’s not like I can just walk away from something like it’s just that easy, it’s really not.”
