This week’s episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta featured a lavish party honoring Kandi Burruss’Essence magazine cover, but it was Cynthia Bailey’s new beau who got the most screen time. To be honest, don’t we all think that’s his goal? Fifty Cynt deserves the best, so this guy Will Jones had better be on the up and up. People don’t get as riled up as he did over a minor rumor or simple misunderstanding. He clearly got caught in a lie. Perhaps he didn’t want to go into the gory details with Cynthia if the relationship with this other chick ended badly. Maybe he didn’t think it was as serious as it appeared to newbie Eva Marcille. In any event, his reaction would have me more concerned about whether he’s boyfriend material as opposed to whether he may have been seeing someone when he first met Cynthia. Am I right?
But, I digress (shocking, I know!). This post isn’t about Will Jones. It’s about the most underrated RHOA character and his amazing ability to throw shade. Don Juan was on point with dig at Porsha Williams. She needs to quit pretending like she had no involvement in those horrific allegations against Kandi and give the woman some space. She is forcing the issue, and it is only making things more awkward. Thankfully, it’s Don Juan to the rescue!
Cynthia Bailey’s post-divorce love life is just about the only storyline she’s got going these days. So it’s clear that The Real Housewives Of Atlanta would want to spice things up when it comes to Cynthia’s excessively boring non-exclusive dating paramour, Will.
We only got to see a little bit of Eva Marcille during her first Real Housewives of Atlantaepisode, but she definitely delivered. She isn’t a full-time Housewife, but so far it looks like she has what it takes to hold up a peach during the opening credits next season.
She spilled some major tea about Cynthia Bailey’snew man Will Jones introducing her to someone that he labeled as a “girlfriend” during a period that overlapped with his time with Cynthia. On top of that, his version of the story changed multiple times during that episode.
“I look at this whole world through a different prism because I’m more of like, ‘Hey guys, let’s all get along. Let’s see how we can all make this thing work’ versus them thinking, ‘I’m on an island all by myself and I’m my own person’ type thing,” explains Eva.
There are few things that are more annoying than a Real Housewife dragging out a story line – MOST of the time. Usually, I’m all for moving on, arguing about something new, and repeating the cycle as quickly as possible. That said, it makes complete sense for Kandi Burruss to still be upset that Porsha Williams spread rumors that Kandi wanted to drug and rape her. Is Kandi really supposed to hug her and go shopping together after that?
Obviously, they’re both cast members on Real Housewives of Atlanta, so Kandi cannot just cut her out the way most people would if they weren’t on a reality TV show. Porsha should feel blessed that Kandi hasn’t taken any legal action against her. Kandi rebuffing a hug or two really isn’t that big of a deal in comparison. Porsha really got off easy here.
Attacking Cynthia is like smacking a bunny. Leave the girl alone to date and learn some tough-love lessons about getting played. Instead of bopping her on the head, her friends should pet her ever-changing wigs and tell her it will be OK. Clearly Cynthia habitually picks the WRONG men, and trying to teach her how to spot a scrub is not working. Even when she has a bonafide expert like Kandi Burruss at her disposal!
Let’s hope that Luann de Lessepsdidn’t log into Instagram after she checked out of rehab earlier this week. She might feel a little bit slighted by her Real Housewives of New York costars. They did some sort of jail-themed workout class, complete with mock mugshots. Shade much? Or is it a merely a coincidence? I’m going to assume that it’s the former and just hope that this ends up contributing to a story line next season.
Aside from those glorious faux mugshots, there were some other great reality star photos for this week’s Instagram roundup.
