Porsha Williams was on the Steve Harvey show yesterday afternoon and chatted with him about her Real Housewives of Atlanta co-stars, her plastic surgery, and even helped do “Housewives-inspired makeovers.”
I have to say that something felt really “off” about Porsha during the interview. I don’t know if she was nervous or if she’s trying really hard to bring a bit of a “NeNe-sass” to her personality? Something was different.
Steve starts off with questions from fans. On Claudia and Kordell being called “Claudel,” she says “they should rename themselves desperados.”
On Claudia Jordan joining the cast, “From the moment Claudia joined the show, I thought she was nice.” Porsha says it confused her that Kenya Moore was trying to encourage Claudia to hook up with her ex-husband Kordell because when Kenya first joined the show, she was accusing Porsha of being Kordell’s beard but now this season was trying to set Claudia up with him. “It’s weird. It’s really weird.”
When asked if lunch with the other housewives felt awkward, Claudia said, “It wasn’t awkward at all! But then again I rarely feel uncomfortable. I actually was looking forward to seeing all the ladies again, because I am very much an optimist, and if there is a chance for things to move in a positive direction, then I’m all for it!” Is “positive” even on Bravo’s compass?
I think it’s safe to say that no one is safe from rumors, backstabbing, or shade throwing on this season of Real Housewives of Atlanta! Cynthia Bailey has been gossiping about Phaedra Parks’ alleged Mr.C chocolate cravings, and Phaedra is stirring the pot regarding Kandi Burruss’ loyalties. Phaedra has been venting to Porsha Williams about how she feels her friend is siding with Apollo because of his friendship with Kandi’s husband Todd. As for Kenya Moore, she’s just waving her Krayonce flag and twirling with delight not to be the this season’s main target, while NeNe Leakes channels her inner cruise director…on a boat ride straight into the heart of darkness!
Kandi, like her counterparts, seems to suffer from the innate inability to be able to dish it, but not so much take it. In the RHOA realm, “it” refers to any combination of whispers, scandals, and busy body chit-chat where the only applicable rule is “talk with me about anyone but don’t talk with anyone about me.” Sixth grade social rules in their most basic form, for sure!
Kenya explained her emotional reaction to the gossip about Phaedra and Mr. Chocolate. She added that she felt vindicated once again. “I’d moved on and forgave Phaedra for all of the lies she single handedly fabricated about me,” she insisted. “When Cynthia told me of Apollo’s latest findings, I didn’t doubt it, as I have experienced what she is capable of first hand. My emotional reaction was based on anger not pain. I thought, ‘The nerve of her!’ She went on a slut shaming, whore-calling campaign without any proof, and now that Apollo caught her with sticky fingers dipped in chocolate, I felt vindicated yet again. I don’t care about their relationship or how many men Phaedra chooses to sleep with, that is her cross to bear.”
Real Housewives Of Atlanta‘s “Chocolate Tales” have taken on Willy Wonkian-proportions. Apparently no one fact checked their golden ticket to drama before dipping a toe into the chocolate river. Are Housewives required the same due-diligence as researchers when regarding inner-personal matters of distorted rumors? Can one rely on Apollo for any sort of “evidence” – particularly in regards to “texes.” Never fear – Dr. NeNe Leakes has the cure!
According to Cynthia, she simply brought up the affair situation because they were having a group “conversation” and she wanted to know if it was true. If Phaedra is involved with Prince Chocolatier from the ChocAfrica, she should have just admitted it! Cause they would all be so accepting and supportive, uh-huh.
On her disagreement with Phaedra Parks, Cynthia says “It wasn’t really a disagreement. We talked amongst the group and it didn’t really go that well. I thought “let’s do this again, let’s talk one on one.” And she says that didn’t go well either.
Porsha Williams is remaining loyal to Phaedra Parks and calling out Cynthia Bailey and Kenya Moore for spreading rumors about Phaedra allegedly cheating with the latest mysterious African, Mr. Chocolate. Porsha describes Cynthia’s actions as “awful” and warns her – karma is a’comin! Hasn’t karma already arrived and been calling itself “Peter“?
Accusing Cynthia of being “beyond out of line,” Porsha expected Cynthia to display some compassion to her fellow Real Housewives Of Atlanta co-star. “Cynthia has a daughter and husband herself; if it were her family being ripped apart she would expect nothing but prayer and support. However, she decided to completely try to slander and tear down a fellow sister at her toughest hour!”
On Monday, 1.55 million checked out the season finale of Vanderpump Rules, and a little over 1.3 million stuck around to see the season premiere of Shahs of Sunset. See the numbers below to see how the rest of the shows are doing.
