Kandi Burruss is going all out to celebrate her 40th birthday– and she wasn’t alone! Kandi and several of her reality TV friends with May/June birthdays took a big trip to the Bahamas, bringing along spouses, kids, and personal assistants!
Now, Kandi is being celebrated in OK Magazine’s May issue as one of the “Top 10 Sexy Women of 2016!” No word on whether the Old Lady Gang is hating on Kandi’s center spread yet. (I kid, I kid…with love!) She gushed on Instagram, “Oh wow! @okmagazine chose me as one of their top 10 Sexy women of 2016 list! Awww thank you! Everybody support your girl & get a copy!”
Kandi Burruss celebrated her 40th birthday with a party full of her besties this week. Unfortunately, Kandi’s birthday week also fell in the middle of some other momentous occasions – 1: The birthday of Ayden Nida; 2: the Bravo Upfronts, which meant several of Kandi’s fellow Real Housewives Of Atlanta stars were unable to attend.
Kandi didn’t seem to mind sharing her birthday. She was happy to celebrate with her ride or dies who threw her a surprise birthday dinner and accept the copious social media shout-outs she got from friends and frienemies alike.
Kandi’s consolation prize also included Sheree Whitfield in attendance at her party – and a little bit of She By SheBroke makes everything better, right?! (I seriously LOVE Sheree!).
NeNe Leakes is one of those reality stars who really thinks that she is above it all. Even though she really has not had success significant enough to shirk off the “reality star” label, NeNe still thinks she is the biggest star on the planet. As such, she has thrown her hat in the ring to give a shot at every entertainment career possible.
So what’s NeNe’s latest job that she’s trying out? Stand up comedy. Sure, she can throw good shade and read a bitch when she’s angry, but I’m not sure if that translates to her being a stand up comedian. And I’m not the only one who is questioning her latest career move. Comedian Luenell recently put NeNe on blast.
Tonight’s guests on Watch What Happens Live were The Goldbergs star Wendi McLendon-Covey and Real Housewives of Atlanta’sKenya Moore. Sadly, Kenya was on her best behavior tonight. We need a new season to get going so she kicks up the tea spilling into high gear!
Kenya starts off by confirms that she and Matt are still going strong and he’s in the audience tonight. Andy shows a photo of Moore Manor and she confirms that she’s moved in – and that Sheree Whitfield has not moved into Chateau Sheree, so she wins the bet. Kenya gives Sheree credit, though, saying that it’s “coming along” and that it’s three times the size of Moore Manor, so obviously it’ll take a little longer.
I started watching the Real Housewives because I was fascinated by wealthy women living lifestyles that I could never possibly attain. Weirdly enough, I actually find myself relating to a lot of the cast members in regard to many aspects. Sure, I will never be a rich and famous reality star, but I do find myself agreeing with a lot of the comments that the women make. More often than that I have a “that’s so me” feeling when I’m watching these shows.
Yes, I know that I would never be able to pay thousands of dollars for a spin class to benefit a charity like RHOBH ladies did this past season. I also don’t have my own fitness studio to work out in like Tamra Judge does on RHOC. But I do have something in common with these women: the difficulty to stay fit. I’m not throwing shade and saying that they don’t look amazing – because they honestly all do – but just like myself, they have also complained about dieting and fitness pretty often. There have been a lot of times when the women from Real Housewives have understood the struggle to get in shape.
