Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Yolanda Foster speaks out about her divorce

I say that with the utmost amount of sarcasm, folks. The shocker part, that is. I mean, the divorce of Yolanda and David Foster is not really that much of a shocker at all. For months, we’ve been reading rumors about the couple and how they were not really as happy as they pretended to be, and a few days ago, the couple officially announced that they are parting ways.

The couple said in a joint statement that they were grateful that they had so many wonderful years, and made sure to let fans know that they would always have love and respect for each other. But how does the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star really feel? Especially considering the state of her health these days?

Eileen Davidson is back as our resident voice of reason on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but she confesses the season didn’t start on a high note for her. Having just suffered the loss of her father in law, Eileen opens up about her feelings as cameras began rolling for season 2, her compassion for castmate Yolanda Foster, and – on a lighter note – how her home renovations are going.

Although excited for Lisa Vanderpump’s appearance at a Dodger’s game and for Lisa Rinna’s birthday celebration, Eileen admits she was really in no mood to celebrate on this week’s episode. She reflects, “Unfortunately, it’s hard for Vince and I to watch it [the episode] without getting emotional. Recently, we lost my father-in-law Dick ‘Dickie’ Van Patten after his health had been declining. I’m so grateful to be his daughter-in-law and to have him be our sons’ grandpa. I was lucky enough to be by his side in the hospital for much of the four weeks until he passed away. He was such a tremendous light in the lives of the people he loved and knew but also the millions of fans who grew up watching him. And, as you may imagine, it’s still a difficult time for our family.”

Since so much of last night’s episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills revolved around Yolanda Foster’s continued struggle with Lyme Disease, most of the cast blogs are about just that this week.   Lisa Vanderpump chimed in with her thoughts on the situation and cleared up some of the things she said/saw.

Lisa begins, “Kyle and I met for lunch at Villa Blanca, we had a brief conversation regarding Yolanda, the season had just started, I was curious if she would be involved and to what extent as she battled with her health problems.”

RHOBH season 6 Premiere Recap

The ladies are back and I can already tell the theme of this season’s Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills  will be mustering sympathy for Yolanda Foster‘s campaign for battling Lyme disease.

While Yolanda is permanently convalescing – now in a condo far away from the palace of lemons lightly scented with love and sprinkled with the élan of Grammys – Lisa Vanderpump is getting her workout on. A workout for Lisa includes a personal trainer in the form of LA Dodgers player EJ Ellis.

Lisa will be throwing the ceremonial first pitch to celebrate LGBT pride at Dodgers stadium and she is super honored plus excited, but nervous.

Reality TV Stars Yolanda Foster

Last night’s season 6 premiere of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was a mix of light and fun, yet heavy and sad.  We had Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards reclaiming the light-hearted side of their friendship, and then on the flip side we saw Eileen Davidson dealing with the loss of her father-in-law and Yolanda Foster sharing her health struggles.  Yolanda took to her blog this week to get candid about all she’s dealing with this season.

Yolanda shared, “Becoming chronically ill has definitely given me a greater understanding of human nature, and I’ve learned to accept people’s lack of long-term compassion for others, while they live their busy lives.  I have gone from being an outspoken multi-tasking social butterfly to a hostage of my debilitating disease. I might only be a shell of the woman I used to be, but my heart is still the same, and even though I can only do life one day at a time, I am at peace and have surrendered to my new normal–for now.”

Kyle Richards on WWHL

Lisa Edelstein and Kyle Richards are Andy Cohen’s guests on Watch What Happens Live tonight following the season premiere of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Andy kicks off the show with reactions to David Foster and Yolanda Foster announcing their divorce. Kyle says the news came as a surprise, in the sense that she didn’t know about it ahead of time, but she adds, “I think they’ve been struggling. Yolanda’s been so sick, I don’t know if that has anything to do with it, I have no idea. It’s just really sad.”

Kyle says, when she ran into David recently at Kris Jenner’s birthday party, he didn’t let on that there was trouble in the lemon grove. Yolanda wasn’t at the party with David. She was in New York City with daughter Gigi for the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. “I do feel really bad,” shares Kyle. “She’s struggling right now. To have to go through that at the same time as dealing with Lyme disease, it’s going to be hard.”

Tonight Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills season 6 premieres! Before we get into the new drama – let’s put on our Louboutins for a walk back in time through all the drama from season 5. Obviously Brandi Glanville in her Nine West pumps was trespassing! Good lord did I love last season. LOVED IT. And I just know this season will be just as good!

Season 5 added Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson to the group. The addition of two soap opera stars definitely amped up the drama. After much debate, Lisa Vanderpump returned but struggled with trusting former friends Brandi and Kyle Richards again. Lisa quickly realized out she shouldn’t come within 50 yards of Brandi, but Kyle would do as a ‘Hollywood Friend’. You know what they say: Keep your friends close, your frienemies closer, and your enemies in The Valley!

Where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire.  Rumors have been circulating for a while now that the Fosters weren’t quite as happy as they claimed and it looks like it was true!  Yolanda Foster and David Foster are divorcing after just four years of marriage.

They confirmed the news to People magazine this afternoon (just hours before the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiere, naturally).   They shared in a joint statement, “Sadly we have decided to go our separate ways. We’ve shared 9 beautiful and joyous years together. During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues. “We are grateful for the years we’ve spent together and believe wholeheartedly that we did our best.  I hope that we can pave the road ahead of us with all we’ve learned and with the love and respect we will always have for one another.”
