Real Housewives of Miami

The first season of the Real Housewives of Miami comes to an end tonight on Bravo at 10/9c.

Following a so-so freshman season, it seems the MIA ladies will be going out with a bang during the super-sized 1 hour and 30 minutes finale episode.

On the finale titled “Mama Knows Best,” Marysol hosts a dinner party, inviting all the ladies plus her mother, Elsa. But Elsa stirs the pot by cutting down Larsa, putting the dinner drama at a high boil. Elsewhere, Alexia promotes her son’s career as a model; and Lea crafts a dinner plan with chef Michelle Bernstein.

And while most of the housewives appear to be unhappy with their “characters” on the show, Marysol Patton, a fan favorite according to our poll, is pleased with the way the season went. “I don’t like to pick on people; I pick on myself,” said Marysol to the Miami Herald on how she managed to stay out of the drama.

When it comes to tonight’s finale, Marysol promises it will not disappoint. “Things really get defined as to who doesn’t like who. The lines are drawn in the sand. Even I have an opinion,” she said.

Cristy Rice is however voicing her disappointment with Bravo for only focusing on the gala crashing, according to her. “Unlike the other 5 girls they NEVER showed you MY business (BriBri Boutique of which i have had for over 10 years) nor any scenes with my family or my friends. SIMPLY TIX DRAMA. Not very cool but it is what it is!!!” wrote Cristy on her facebook. Photos of Cristy and her kids, who never appeared on the show, are below. According to reports, Cristy’s ex-husband Glen Rice did not allow his kids to be taped.

There are also rumors and rumblings that Larsa Pippen is very upset with her portrayal on the show, which rivaled that of Camille Grammer on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. In fact, Larsa has missed numerous key promotional events for the show including her most recent scheduled appearance on Watch What Happens Live.

When it comes to a second season, Bravo has yet to make a decision. WWHL is off the air tonight and airing next week will be the first ever live reunion show for the Miami housewives!

Real Housewives of Miami star Adriana de Moura hit the beach the week to prove she can still get any man she desires with no words.

According to the DailyMail, the Brazilian mother of one was photographed on Tuesday in South Beach, Florida frolicking around in a hot pink two piece as she walked down the shore and swam in the ocean.

As for how Adriana keeps her toned body, she was shown on the latest episode of the Bravo show taking some sensual pole dancing lessons so um yeah. More bikini photos of Adriana below!

This season of the Real Housewives of Miami has brought many things Cuban, think a Cuban airhead Barbie, an authentic Cuban pig roast, and a Cuban witch, though it seems the best had yet to come as we are introduced to a Cuban Brad Pitt on this episode. Muy Caliente!

The episode begins with the wedding of Marysol and French beau Phillipe, who might or might not be at risk of getting deported hence the quickie wedding. Marysol states she is now calm but accuses Phillipe of being nervous. I don’t know about you but he didn’t look that nervous to me, looked like a man with with his eyes the green card prize. After getting her hair and makeup done, Marysol exits the salon, while her Dwight inspired hairstyle brings back flashbacks of Phaedra’s Southern baby shower. The horror.

A week before the finale, a new episode of the Real Housewives of Miami airs tonight on Bravo at 10/9c.

On the fifth episode this season titled “Beach Slap,” Larsa welcomes the ladies to an Italian-culinary tutorial at her private restaurant, but what could have been tasty turns testy because of swirling rumors and accusations. Elsewhere, Marysol returns from her elopement in Aspen; and Cristy and Alexia participate in a fashion show, but an ill-fated turn of events blindsides one of them.

Watch What Happens Live - The guests tonight will include the one and only Elsa Patton and her daughter Marysol Patton! Andy Cohen revealed on Sunday’s episode that Elsa was terrified of flying so he had to send two of his staffers to Miami to safely drive her back to NYC. Part of the journey was taped and will be shown tonight.

Elsa also tweeted (yes she is on twitter) some of her demands to Andy yesterday. “@bravoandy these are my demands. I want soft yellow roses, I’m a lady. That is all. A woman never gives more than she takes,” tweeted Elsa. Below is a pic of Mama Elsa and Marysol during their journey.

Meanwhile, a new poll is up on who is your least disliked favorite Miami housewife, and you can cast your vote below. Good luck.

TELL US – WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE MIAMI HOUSEWIFE & WHY? THOUGHTS ON TONIGHT’S NEW EPISODE?

It seems Bravo is pulling out all the stops when it comes to the Real Housewives of Miami reunion.

According to Entertainment Weekly, for the first time ever, the network will air a live reunion show for a Housewives series.

The reunion special, titled Watch What Happens: Live Miami Housewives Reunion, will air live on the East Coast on April 5 at 9 p.m. ET.

The special will still be hosted by Andy Cohen, and here’s to hoping a shoving incident a la Teresa Giudice on last year’s NJ reunion show does doesn’t repeat itself live.

The April 5 date also means there are only two episodes left this season, meaning only 6 episodes will be aired for RHMIA season 1.

In other news, Life & Style magazine released the first photo today of Marysol Patton and beau Frenchman Philippe Pautesta-Herder on their wedding day in Aspen, Colo.

Marysol, 44, reveals this is actually her second marriage and the first for Philippe, 34. Marysol also admits she “was freaking out,” about planning her elopement in only five days. “But on our wedding day, a sense of peace came over me,” she added.

Life & Style states the wedding actually took place almost a year ago on March 25, 2010. “We rushed so we wouldn’t miss the snow,” Marysol says. “I always wanted a winter wedding!” A wedding photo of the couple is below -

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THE FIRST-EVER LIVE REUNION SHOW AND MARYSOL’S WEDDING PHOTO?

The fourth episode of the Real Housewives if Miami aired last night bringing us yet another cooking party to go along with a slain pig (sorry PETA) and a lackluster proposal, but fret not as the always glamorous Elsa made an appearance on the show.

The show starts off with Larsa Pippen and her kids at a zoo home with their pet lizards, tortoises and bunnies. Not a problem for Larsa, who lets us know the pets are the responsibilities of her nannies. Larsa reveals the kids get to have their pets as a reward for getting good grades, and at this rate, we can expect pet tigers and rattle snakes on the Real Housewives of Miami season 6. Oh who am I kidding? This show isn’t making it past season 1!

It seems the housewives buck stops in Miami.

According to Bravo’s Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Development aka Andy Cohen, the Real Housewives of Miami is the end of additional cities to the successful reality series.

When asked about which city he would look to next to find more housewives by OK! magazine, Andy replied, “I really feel like we’re done.” When further pressed on if Miami is the last stop on the Housewives spinoffs? Andy answered, “Yeah.”

And when it comes to other housewives getting their own Bravo spinoff shows a la Bethenny Frankel, Andy reveals that is very unlikely.  “I think they’re all good where they are,” he stated.

This comes as no surprise following the lackluster ratings and reviews of the Miami franchise.  The show has averaged a dismal  1.18 million viewers over the first 3 episodes.

While ending the addition of new franchises might be best, we are a little disappointed we will never get to see a Real Housewives of Dallas.  That would have been all kinds of awesomeness no?
