The fourth episode of the Real Housewives if Miamiaired last night bringing us yet another cooking party to go along with a slain pig (sorry PETA) and a lackluster proposal, but fret not as the always glamorous Elsa made an appearance on the show.
The show starts off with Larsa Pippen and her kids at a zoo home with their pet lizards, tortoises and bunnies. Not a problem for Larsa, who lets us know the pets are the responsibilities of her nannies. Larsa reveals the kids get to have their pets as a reward for getting good grades, and at this rate, we can expect pet tigers and rattle snakes on the Real Housewives of Miami season 6. Oh who am I kidding? This show isn’t making it past season 1!

According to Bravo’s Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Development aka Andy Cohen, the Real Housewives of Miami is the end of additional cities to the successful reality series.
When asked about which city he would look to next to find more housewives by OK! magazine, Andy replied, “I really feel like we’re done.” When further pressed on if Miami is the last stop on the Housewives spinoffs? Andy answered, “Yeah.”
And when it comes to other housewives getting their own Bravo spinoff shows a la Bethenny Frankel, Andy reveals that is very unlikely. “I think they’re all good where they are,” he stated.
This comes as no surprise following the lackluster ratings and reviews of the Miami franchise. The show has averaged a dismal 1.18 million viewers over the first 3 episodes.
While ending the addition of new franchises might be best, we are a little disappointed we will never get to see a Real Housewives of Dallas. That would have been all kinds of awesomeness no?
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON ANDY’S COMMENTS? ARE YOU HAPPY WITH THIS DECISION? WHAT HOUSEWIVES FRANCHISE WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE?
On the new episode titled “Waterfront and Center,” Alexia serves up a full-blown Cuban dinner for the ladies, but vegetarian Lea gripes about the meat on the menu. Meanwhile, Adriana, still wounded from her ill-fated gallery opening, opens up about her various woes. Marysol gets a surprise proposal, and dramas from the Blacks’ past gala come back to haunt Cristy.
In other RHMIA news, it seems this first season will be a very short one as there have been reports only 6 or 7 episodes are scheduled to air. According to the TV Guide listings, there are only 6 episodes this season, with the finale airing in two weeks.
Ratings - Some good news for Bravo as the ratings went up 30% last week from the previous week, with over 1.30 million viewers tuning in.
And finally, it seems Miami housewife Lea Blackis no fan of Sarah Palin’s. In an opinion piece written on the Huffington Post, Lea advises Sarah to stick to doing reality TV rather than politics. “Save the “domestic” drama for your reality show!,” wrote Lea, also adding that she has “always been politically conscious.”
E! also caught up with Lea yesterday during which she expanded on her opinion of Palin. “Sarah Palin is the sideshow in the circus that everyone wants to watch, but that most people don’t take seriously,” said Lea. “The Republican Party has become a circus and she’s the sideshow act that everyone likes to laugh at, not with.”
Lea then makes it clear she doesn’t think Palin would make a great president. “I think she makes for great entertainment, but I don’t think she can be taken seriously for leading a country,” she added.

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON LEA’S COMMENTS, THE PREVIEW AND TONIGHT’S EPISODE?
In an interview with the Miami Herald, the NYC Housewife shares her opinion on RHMIA’s Elsa Patton and Lea Black. According to Ramona, Lea is badly in need of a makeover.
“I thought she looked like she was going to a costume party,” Ramona stated about the House of Gaga reject attire Lea wore to Adriana‘s gallery opening. “She looked a little ridiculous.” Oh but Ramona had more to say. “Someone’s giving her bad fashion tips. I think she needs a makeover,” added Ramona about Lea’s crimes against fashion. “It just looks like she’s stuck in a bad era.” Ouch!
And what does Ramona think of the glamorous Elsa? “I freaked out. I didn’t know if she was a man or a woman at first,” said Ramona upon facing Elsa for the first time on television. “I didn’t know if she was like a drag queen, I swear.” Telling it like it is indeed.
In other MIA news, the Miami Herald reported last week that three of the housewives – Alexia Echevarria, Marysol Patton and Lea Black — share a six degrees of separation with Willy Falcon and Sal Magluta, dubbed “The Boys” during the real Miami Vice era. Both currently seat in prison as Falcon pleaded guilty to money laundering and got 20 years in prison, while Magluta was convicted in 2002, sentenced to 205 years and ordered to pay a fine of $63 million for laundering cocaine profits to defense attorneys, bribed jurors and Colombian hit men.
Alexia, 43, then Alexia Figueredo married a Magluta associate Pedro L. Rosello in 1992, the same year their son Pedro aka Peter was born in Hialeah. Rosello, who cooperated as a government witness, was ultimately convicted of cocaine trafficking, and served some time in prison. Alexia and Rosello were divorced by the end of 1995.
Meanwhile, Marysol, 44, was the girlfriend of a convicted, big-time cocaine distributor who also was a cooperating witness in the federal drug case.
As for the role of Lea, 56, she is married to famed attorney Roy Black, who was paid millions to represent Magluta. When Roy was asked about the connections between the Bravo show and the Willy-and-Sal case, he simply stated, “It’s so Miami, that’s for sure.”
The third episode of the Real Housewives of Miami aired last night, and in case you’re wondering, it wasn’t much better than the two previous episodes. However, if there’s one thing to be learned from last night, it is that Elsa Patton is the real star of the show. Psychic witch readings? Drinking? Glamorous bedspread attires? Yes, I’ll take another shot of Elsa please!
The episode begins with Lea, Lea’s #1 Fan, and Marysol going over the successful charity gala Lea put together. So what are the ladies dishing about? If you guessed discussing how successful the event was and how it helped some poor kids from going to jail, you guessed wrong. Cristy is the topic of conversation as Lea can’t understand the audacity of anyone crashing one of her events. She runs Miami darn it! Lea decides the best way to deal with the issue is to make Cristy pay… Literally… As in via an invoice… That Lea will mail to her. A bit surprising considering Cristy has stated in her Bravo blogs that she and Lea were friends before the whole gala fiasco. But that doesn’t matter now as Lea’s verdict is final.

On the 3rd episode this season titled “Optical Delusion,” following her successful charity gala, Lea decides it’s time for Cristy to pay up. Meanwhile, art-house owner Adriana hosts a gallery opening, but the event begins to fizzle when the artist doesn’t complete his paintings in time and her backup entertainment fails to impress.
Watch What Happens Live – The guest tonight will be none other than Bethenny Frankel!
Ratings – The ratings are out for last week’s episode (the second episode of the season) and it’s more bad news for Bravo. The show’s ratings declined 14% with only 1.03 million viewers tuning in, down from the 1.21 viewers who watched the debut episode. Those ratings are almost unheard of when it comes to the Bravo housewives’ franchise in recent years. Definitely not looking good for the Miami franchise.
And finally, housewife AdrianaDe Moura-Sidiopens up about her first marriage in a new interview with Star magazine.
While Adriana has discussed her ex-husband’s infidelity on the show, she tells Star she experienced other horrors in her marriage. Her divorce court documents reveal both physical violence and rape at the hands of her ex-husband.
“I consider myself a survivor,” Adriana tellsStar in an exclusive interview. According to the court papers, in December 2006 Adriana told Roberto Sidi she wanted to end their relationship. This led to an argument and ultimately violence at the couple’s condo. Adriana reveals in the court papers that Roberto choked her, threatened her life and even raped her — all while their young son slept in the next room.
You can read more of Adriana’s interview in the current issue of Star magazine. A preview clip of tonight’s episode is below -
TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE LATEST & TONIGHT’S NEW EPISODE?
If you recall, the self proclaimed Cuban Barbie managed to diss the entire city of Hialeah – population 250,000 – when she referred to them as a “lower” class of people who purchase her Venue magazine as a means to live vicariously through the socialites portrayed in her mag, which caters to Hispanics.
The Miami Herald reports the folks of Hialeah are none too pleased with Alexia’s comments, especially considering the fact that her husband Herman Echevarria, is a former Hialeah City Council president and former chairman of the Hialeah Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
Longtime resident, sixth-grade science teacher and former political hopeful Phil Secada, 56, told the Herald that Alexia’s comment was uncalled for. “We got good people,” Secada said. “I can’t think of a better place to live than Hialeah. I have been to all 50 states except three. I love Hialeah.”
Society writer and former Herald columnist Daisy Olivera called Alexia’s comment a classic “case of ‘open mouth, insert Louboutin.’” Nobody “with any semblance of class or humility call anyone else ‘lower persons,’ especially not your own, hard-working people,” wrote Olivera blasting Alexia. Ouch.
Alexia has since apologized for her comments, stating: “I admire and respect the people of Hialeah; in fact my husband is a product of Hialeah.”
In other MIA news, Elsa Patton, darling mother to Miami housewife Marysol Patton, continues to be a hot topic, mainly for her appearance. In fact, our site got a ton of searches for Elsa this week, with most having to do with Elsa’s face, and many wanting to know what she had done, or what she used to look like.
Well good news, as we now have a before photo of Elsa, and she was actually not too shabby looking. That before photo is below -

Not so great ratings and negative reviews in tow, the show must go on, and it did last night as Bravo aired the second episode of the Real Housewives of Miami.
While episode 2 didn’t seem to help matters that much, a single phone call via Lea Black on Watch What Happens Live last night did seem to bring some glimmer of hope. Perhaps this season won’t be all that bad after all. More on this later.
The episode begins with Adriana having a convo with fiance Frederic as the two have a surprisingly not awkward conversation about Adriana and her love for guys. The topic then turns to the catwalk drama involving the other ladies. Adriana gets it right when she refers to Larsa and Cristy as high school “mean girls” in her interview, but gets it wrong when she states she did not make a fool of herself on the catwalk.
