Apollo Nida was giving yet another interview – this time to Be100 – and, as always, didn’t hold anything back. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star drops a few shocking drops of tea. His restitution initially started at $14 million. He doesn’t think his marriage to Phaedra Parks will survive. And he says there were others involved in the fraud dealings, but he took the brunt of the fall.
When asked how the sentencing has affected his family life, Apollo says “It’s hell. Hell on wheels. I’ve asked god to forgive me. I’ve forgiven myself. I had to move on. From there I just had to bite down, I was going through so much. It doesn’t make you less of a man to cry and shed tears. I’ve shed tears. I’m just upset at how I was raised and to possibly be taking my son through the same thing. But by the grace of God he’s still young and we have many years ahead of us. I just can’t make those same mistakes. It’s all on me.”
He continues, “a lot of people could be held accountable, but at the end of the day, it’s over with now. We’ll pay back the $1.9 million and keep going. By the grace of God I was able to get that down. It [restitution] was $14 million.”
NeNe Leakes, the proud owner of many Birkins, decided to get personal with hers! NeNe did the work herself to make a homemade graffiti bag featuring several of her most noteworthy “nene-isms.” Birkin Goes Bloop, anyone?!
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star is producing her own fashion line, so it only makes sense that she puts her stamp on her Hermés, right? WRONG! If she is using this bag to advertise her fashion line, that makes me want to buy her clothes even less!
The order was entered this week and a breakdown reveals that Apollo’s largest amounts will go to JP Morgan Chase Bank (828,000), Campus USA Credit Union (277,000), and UP2Drive BMW Bank (100,000).
“Based on the consent motion of the parties and the court’s review of the record in this matter, the court directs defendant Apollo E. Nida to pay restitution to the Clerk of Court I the total amount of $1,948.214.85. This amount is due and payable immediately. Restitution is payable jointly and severally with the restitution order to be entered in United States v. Gayla O’Neal St. Julien, 1:13-CR-00403-CAP.”
On Sunday, former Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin hosted the Second Annual Luxury Ladies Luncheon at her home in Southampton. The event raised money for the Samual Waxman Cancer Research Foundation.
When asked why she organizes the event, Jill shared, “It’s a very complicated event in the sense that there’s no one reason that I do it. I do it because I want to give stuff to my friends, I do it because I want to raise awareness for charity, and I do it because I want to have a good time.” I will volunteer as tribute if Jill wants to give me free stuff. 😉 Check out more pictures below.
Jill Zarin is still dining out on her whole used to be on Real Housewives of New York thing by inviting a host of former and present Bravolebrities to participate in a charity luncheon at her Hamptons home which she has dubbed “Camp Zarin”.
Apollopled guilty to one count of Conspiracy to Commit Bank Fraud – all other charges were dismissed. Apollo was sentenced to 96 months in prison, but he may get out early if he attends a drug rehabilitation program during his stint in the big house.
According to court docs filed last week, Apollo will be on supervision for five years after he’s released. The terms of his supervision are pretty standard, with community service hours to be served, no hanging out with other felons, etc. Apollo also can’t open any new credit cards or lines of credit without approval and more.
Also worth noting is that Apollo will pay restitution. The amount will be decided at a later date, but the court waives the cost of his incarceration and no fine has to be paid.
Am I watching the same Real Housewives of Atlanta that Cynthia Bailey is? Because “positive” is not the word that immediately comes to mind when I think of our illustrious scepterBedroom KandiFelonious HusbandWig peach-wielding women of Bravo!
Despite the brawls, the bickering, and the bad behavior Cynthia still feels the show sets a positive and empowering example for women! She does? “I don’t think anyone felt good about that situation,” Cynthia admits about the reunion brawl. “However, I do think that in so many other ways, we are still a great platform and are great examples of empowerment.”
