Real Housewives of New York

Jules & Michael

Everyone has been talking about Jules Wainstein for the past couple days since her husband Michael Wainstein made a pretty surprising move and filed for divorce. Since then, shit has really hit the fan. Jules’s rep confirmed that they split because Michael was cheating. Then Jules was hit with a $25,000 tax lien due to back bills on a New York City penthouse. Soon, news came out that the woman Michael was cheating with was friends with Jules. And things got really crazy when Jules had to call the police on Michael after an altercation in their home.

And this was all within two days. Who knows what else will have gone  down by the time you get to the end of this article. On top of all that, the divorce announcement hit the press on the same day that Real Housewives of New York airs. Personally, I think that is a shady coincidence. Nevertheless, I was ready to watch the episodes looking for signs of trouble and they were absolutely blatant. And now Jules is speaking out.

Jules Wainstein

The divorce drama between Jules Wainstein and her future-ex-husband Michael Wainstein continues to get crazier! Jules blames their divorce on Michael cheating. Yesterday she called the police alleging that he threatened her after a messy tax situation was unveiled.  Michael is finally speaking out, and obviously denies that he had an affair. Also he blames Real Housewives Of New York for turning Jules into a narcissistic attention-seeking drama queen. No…

“The marriage is over! But, not due to any fault [of Michael] who was not ‘busted’ for cheating as incorrectly alleged,” comes a statement from Michael’s rep Mark Jay Heller.

What is with the women on Real Housewives of New York constantly excluding each other from trips this season? Do they not understand how this works? The trips are for the viewers, not the cast. They ALL need to go, otherwise it’s just not going to be as good. Needless to say, I was pretty peeved when I saw Bethenny Frankel asking the cast for a vote to decide if Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan should be invited on tequila tasting trip in Mexico.

First off, I find it hard to believe that these women are truly “concerned” over Sonja and her drinking. If they were, they wouldn’t be trying to embarrass her on camera all the time. Second, everyone knows that Luann and Sonja are the ones who really make these vacation episodes. Needless, to say Luann had an issue with this decision, but her issue isn’t with Bethenny who called for the vote. Ramona Singer is actually the one that she’s angry with.

Jules discuss eating disorder with carole

My heart is really aching for Jules Wainstein. In such a short time she went from basically being in the background on Real Housewives of New York to being front page news for the troubles in her marriage with Michael Wainstein. First of all, the divorce news was a major shocker. Then, after rumors that the show was to blame Jules’s rep confirms that Michael was cheating. On top of that, the last episode was really not a good look for the couple with Michael’s weird insistence on showering and his attachment to his phone.

You know what they say, “when it rains, it pours,” and that definitely seems to be the case for Jules these days. There seems to be more drama accumulating by the hour. This is far from an amicable split between Jules and Michael.

When the news about Jules Wainstein’s divorce announcement hit the press on the same day that a new Real Housewives of New York episode airs, I was ready to dissect Jules and Michael Wainstein’s every onscreen action and look for evidence leading up to this surprising news.

And I didn’t have to try too hard looking for clues. The episode opened with Jules breaking down to talk about how she is the only one who parents her children. Then there was that uncomfortable double date the couple had with Dorinda Medley and her boyfriend John Mahdessian which really made me feel so sad for Jules. Apparently I wasn’t the only one who had a strong reaction to that scene since Bethenny had something to say about it as well.

Oh Real Housewives Of New York – you never cease to amaze me. Last night’s episode shone a rather frantic light on the very temporary nature of life as a Housewife.

First up Sonja Morgan has an intern she believes is her twin. This intern has Sonja’s nose, but Luann de Lesseps‘ voice and it’s all together confusing. That poor girl – Alex – upon realizing her predicament was shocked. In Sonja’s kitchen Luann lectures her about making amends with Bethenny Frankel, but Sonja is not inclined. She’s not going to grovel at the feet of the self-proclaimed Queen B, who is schtupping other women’s husbands and channeling the burden of her hypocrisy by having hysterical projecting meltdowns on Luann. Or at least I think that’s what happened between Bethenny and Luann during the Berkshires Bonanza. Which sounds like a recipe. Maybe Adam and Carole Radziwill can put it in their cookbook?! I give it a “Radish Rating” of 9.

The Real Housewives of New York City - Season 8

If anyone knows how Jules Wainstein may feel about her husband Michael Wainstein (allegedly) cheating on her, it’s her Real Housewives of New York costar Ramona Singer. After all, her ex husband stepped out on her in a very public manner. And just like with the Singers, no one saw Jules and Michael’s divorce coming and no one suspected that Michael was cheating. Sure, we still haven’t seen this whole season, but before last night’s episode there weren’t any blatant red flags. With that said, I’m sure we will all be watching the rest of the season with some confirmation bias, looking for signs – like the ones from last night’s dinner date.

We all know that Ramona has never been one to hold her tongue and with a topic that hits so close to home, it’s really not shocking that Ramona has already spoken out about the Wainstein divorce announcement.

Bethenny Frankel flipped out when Sonja Morgan decided to come out with a line of proseco called Tipsy Girl. The wording hit a little too close to home for Bethenny and on top of that Bethenny was sort of mentoring Sonja on how to succeed in business so the surprise announcement felt like a portrayal.

Everyone in the Real Housewives of New York cast has sided with Bethenny and they all tried their hardest to make Sonja abandon her entrepreneurial efforts, but Sonja won’t budge. Sonja is one of my favorite housewives, but she is really fighting an uphill battle. And as if she needed another reason to throw in the towel, it looks like Tipsy Girl has ripped off another alcohol brand!
