The Real Housewives of New York’s Bethenny Frankel has a new man in her life, and is going public with it. Bethenny is pictured above with her new boyfriend who according to this NY Times article is named Jason Hoppy.
Guess those A-rod rumors were simply rumors. Bethenny talked about Jason to the NYTimes, “My friends call him ‘Tenjune’ — that’s his name,” Ms. Frankel said, referring to the nightclub in the meatpacking district where the couple met. Mr. Hoppy, who says he works in real estate, saw Ms. Frankel getting attention from photographers, he said, and walked up and said something unprintable. She liked that.
Hoping this will be a lasting relationship for Miss Bethenny.
The Real Housewives of NY’s Jill Zarin continues to speak out against the other housewives/husbands of the show. Jill previously suggestedKelly Bensimon leave the show to save her repuation, she is now speaking out about Kelly’s donation to her charity, and what she thinks of Ramona’s husband, Mario.
On what to expect from the reunion special:
“I picked a fight with everybody. I called everyone out. There were definitely things that I challenged people on to be honest about. The only one who I didn’t really [challenge] is Bethenny because Bethenny and I sort of see things the same way. And Bethenny has a very sharp memory. I would never go up against Bethenny’s memory. And anytime anyone does, they’ve very sorry they did.”
On LuAnn being separated from her husband before publicly announcing it:
“I think she needed to come clean about [her] marriage [problems]. That was one of the reasons why Ramona was particularly upset with LuAnn because she was kind of living this lie and making Ramona feel like, ‘I’m better than you.’ It’s like, listen, we all know what’s going on here. Don’t be a hypocrite, and that’s where a lot of the [hard] feelings came from.”
On Kelly’s donation to her charity auction:
“She did something nice by getting her ex-husband Gilles [Bensimon] to donate a photo shoot — but he hasn’t done it. It’s a problem. He says he’s going to do it now. We had to return the money, and if he does do it, obviously we’ll get the money back. But I had to return the money to the family because I’m not going to hold someone’s money. It’s been very difficult. Her heart was in the right place, so I don’t want to beat her up.”
On her feud with Mario:
“Mario and his big mouth — he wouldn’t leave me alone. Mario can’t have it both ways: You can’t be a classy guy like my husband and then throw darts at somebody else’s wife. And also I felt like he was hitting me outside the ring. I feel like the show’s the ring, like a boxing match, and I feel like he’s been hitting me after the bell rings. And half of [what he says] is lies. Are we going to have a street fight now? It’s obvious Mario is jealous of all the attention Ramona’s getting. You don’t have to be a therapist to see that.”
The NY Housewives finale is also tonight! Bravo is also having a virtual viewing party for tonight’s finale. You will be able to follow Bethenny Frankel, Tamra Barney and other housewives on Twitter and Facebook and chat live with them.
The Real Housewives of New York’s Bethenny and Kelly talked about their feud in their bravo blogs last week. Here’s what each had to say about the other below. The above photo is a picture of Bethenny from this weekend’s Kentucky Derby. Not her best look as she’s usually the best dressed on the show.
Bethenny on Kelly’s “Self-Anointed Fabulosity”:
“The attempted reconciliation with Kelly was my idea — not Jill’s. I just chose to do it at her house because of the charity meeting. That meeting showed that the definition of insanity is repeating the same behavior and expecting different results.
Kelly and I don’t have much in common. We have arms and legs and are on “The Real Housewives.” Other than that, we’re quite different. Short of us boxing at Madison Square Garden, it can’t get much worse than it already is. Not everyone has to be friends…
Kelly came onto the show thinking anyone actually gave a crap about her self-anointed fabulosity. None of us care about her superficial lifestyle, so I think my calling her out is something that caught her off guard. Truthfully she never had anything against me. I had something against her. She is a complete phony and now she has been exposed and her small circle of New York supporters has now turned on her as well. The emperor has no clothes…
I will never be friends with someone inauthentic and disingenuous. I may be harsh, abrupt and rough around the edges, but for God’s sake, I am real. I don’t care how many “Dateline” exclusive sit-down interviews you have with Jill Stuart — your saccharin smile and hair twirl isn’t fooling me.”
Kelly on Bethenny’s “Negative Behavior”:
“The truth is that I am very a sensitive person. I hate confrontation, and I am annoyed by the soap opera/mafia sit-downs. I am a very easygoing person, and I don’t ever come across these types of moments in my every day life, so I honestly don’t have experience handling confrontation. I just want to enjoy the life I am so lucky and grateful to have.
I tried to be nice to Bethenny at the Jill Stuart fashion show. She chose to fight with the new girl, and was rewarded with press and airtime. She did what she set out to do, and honestly, what is wrong with that? It’s a TV show!
We speak two different languages. I don’t need to get to the bottom of why we had an argument, nor do I like to be policed on a constant basis. What’s in the past is in the past, and we are working together, so let’s move on.
I am always nice to everyone. But, as I always tell my children, not everyone is expected to be friends. You always have to make the effort to be polite. Bethenny and I don’t travel in the same circles, and we have some mutual friends, but I rarely see the cast outside of the show. That isn’t good or bad — it’s just different.
If Bethenny wants my attention I’d rather do something with her that is fun and productive, rather than indulge her negative behavior.”
The cattiness and nastiness is never ending with Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York. The latest involves Jill Zarin taking a swipe at KellyBensimon in a new interview. Evidently, Jill who is on Team Bethenny believes Kelly has no business being on the show and should take a hike!
“I don’t think it’s working for her,” says Jill. “I don’t think she should be on the show. It’s not that I think we should throw anybody off, it’s just that I think if I were her, I would not do the show again. I would go back to anonymity and spend the next year trying to repair my reputation. What’s more important to her: her reputation or fame?”
How old are these women again? Not that Jill isn’t right but is it really necessary to continue to throw Kelly under the bus? Kelly’s behavior on the show speaks for itself. Why not take the high road? Kelly had no comment but her rep says, “Jill is entitled to her opinion. Kelly had a wonderful time on the show.”
According to the same article, Bravo will be expanding this year’s reunion show to two hours over two nights after things got very heated apparently. “There were a lot of liars at the table,” Jill said. “Ramona—liar! Kelly—liar! LuAnn—baby liar.”
The Real Housewives of Bravo walked the runway as this years A-List awards and below is a gallery of the 13 housewives who walked. The housewife who gets the most fan votes wins a $10,000 cash prize for a charity of their choice.
Who Looked The Best Out of All The Housewives?
My favorite looks of the night surprisingly go to Kim Zolciak and Gretchen Rossi.
Gretchen Rossi, The Real Housewives of Orange County
Bethenny Frankel, The Real Housewives of New York City
The Real Housewives of New York’s Alex McCord is still in the process of trying to bounce back since being laid off from her visual merchandising job at Victoria’s Secret last month.
She tells OkMagazine, “I’m doing a lot of things that everybody else is doing. Updating my resume, having lunch with contacts – both people who have been either laid off from their jobs as well and people who work for companies. Getting in touch with people whom I haven’t had a chance to get in touch with for a long time. It’s been very interesting to see what comes out of the woodwork in terms of talking to recruiters, and I’m working with a career transition service that’s great. And investigating opportunities from the show as well. It’s kind of all of the above.”
And when it comes to Simon? Alex believes, “It’s important to listen to each other and not to let things fester. If something bothers you, just get it out there. Be honest with yourself and with your spouse. Lay it on the line.”
She continues, “One thing that Simon and I have done as we’ve grown together is we know everything about one and other. He knows where all the bodies are buried, as do I with him. I think that’s a basic term of a relationship.”
